Greetings Yelp Nation! I use to be a fan of the downtown Christians Pizza location, so I thought me and my family should try this location. Unfortunately we were disappointed by this location. To be honest the downtown location hasn't been good for years too. This was our first time eating at the three chop location. The service was not great. I don't know if the day of the week has something to do with it or not. The pizza was not great. The staff had super low energy and were uninterested in providing a good dining experience for me and my family. The best thing about the pizza was the crust. The pizza was under sauced and the cheese was not fresh. We also ordered chicken tenders that tasted OK, but the portion size was way too small for price. I think they shorted us. I would not recommend eating there on a Sunday. The price point of Christians Pizza is also not ideal for families, i think both locations are gear more towards college students. Good pizza place, though prices are a little much. It is tasty and local. We ordered the cheese, Hawaiian, and meatball Parmesan. The time before, we got only cheese. We've only ever done pickup, so we can't speak to the dine in experience. I'd be happy to order from this place again, but I'm not a loyal customer or anything. read more

The pizza is pretty good unless you receive it completely cold and without the 2 liter bottle of Diet Coke you had to order to reach the delivery minimum. To their credit when I called, Christians gave me a full refund but no apology and quite a bit of attitude. There are better delivery pizza places in town. read more

A cheese slice should be the main staple. This cheese slice was undercooked and there was way too much cheese. The slice flopped and the cheese slid off. I've had pizza here before. I don't know what happened. There were no napkins and they were under staffed during peak lunch hour. read more

I do like their pizza, I just wish I could try it warm while it's fresh for once. It always gets the toaster treatment despite living close and retrieving it at the time they state on the phone. Yesterday was weird. I called and placed an order for one cheese pizza. They asked for my phone number, said "Kathleen?" (guess they have a system to retain customers' info), and then said it'd be ready in 20. Just about 20 minutes later, I walked in and they couldn't find my order. I explained the exact conversation and no one seemed to recall it. The girl at the front had another person look and eventually it was determined that the only pizza ready and cooling behind her was indeed mine. She said my total was $16 and change, so I said, "Oh, the menu online said $12.99. Did it go up recently?" She spouted back a defensive "I don't know!" So I explained I wasn't disputing the price...just asking a question. She did not try to find the answer. So owners of Christians, if you read this, update the PDF on your site, please, for pricing clarity. All told, it's decent pizza but not my top choice in the area. Pizza is good and had good selection when I was there at 6pm.....but restrooms are very dirty.

Every time we visit, there's hardly any pizza selection usually only plain cheese left even though it's only around 6 PM and they don't close until 11. It's frustrating to show up and find almost nothing available. I recommend trying the downtown location instead they consistently have a variety of options and much better customer service read more

Located in the Village Shopping Center, this is a pretty nice pizza joint. When you walk in, you'll see a row of booths on the left and a drink cooler, salad cooler, and a mini arcade on the right. It looked neat and clean. The pizza counter was lined with various pizza to purchase by the slice! They looked good. We ordered ahead and picked up 2 pizzas, one sausage and one pepperoni, 2 dozen wings - 12 naked and 12 Parmesan garlic, plus a large Caesar salad. The pepperoni pie was good and had plenty of meat in it. The sausage one could've been more meaty, that's the yeast they could do. The salad was tiny, come on people, it's lettuce, fill up the container! Lettuce pray for more Romaine! The wings were a hit! They came with side sauces and dips and we thoroughly enjoyed them! They also deliver and we've usually been pleased with their service. All and all this is a solid average pizza place! read more

Calzones are literally half the size they used to be for the same price. We got two and they were both small and super super greasy and undercooked. My theory is that the oven wasn't hot enough. But at 9:55pm, as my friend and I were sitting down to eat, they brought our pizza in to-go boxes and said they close at 10pm on Sundays. Am I missing something? We recently ordered Christians for a work meeting lunch at our office in Stony Point for about 30 people. We had ordered from the same location before, and other than timeliness of the delivery, we were generally satisfied. This time we were literally POISONED by Christians Pizza. Of our 30 attendees, 12 of us (including myself) got violently ill. It started with two or three is us appx 3 hours after eating and then one by one they came with vomiting, fever, abdominal pain, headache and diarrhea. The people affected had no other common meal or drink. I myself topped out at 101.5degree fever to go with my vomiting, abdominal pain and severe headache. My work decided not to call the health department so far, but this is totally unacceptable and cannot go without public awareness. Stay away from this place. read more

2-3 years ago, I used to go to the one in VCU, their cheese pizza slices used to be $2.50, LARGE, and so yummy. Finally checked out this place this right around the corner from my work. My coworkers are always getting food from here, but I always have something else planned! On a whim, I was in the shopping center needing lunch! I decided to go in to grab a slice of pizza, as I wasn't starving but needed something. When I walked in, I saw where you place your order. I glanced at the pies that were on display and decided on the Buffalo Chicken Ranch pizza. The nice young lady that helped me took a slice and put it in the oven to get it warmed up. I went ahead and paid for my slice and patiently waited. Once it was ready, she boxed it up and I was on my way back to the office to eat it. It smelled great in the car and when I opened the box! I love Buffalo sauce. I dove in for a bite, and it was exactly what I expected. Just enough ranch on it, yummy chicken, and the spiciness of the sauce. I really want to love Christians pizza but frankly I don't even really like it much. I'm not a huge fan of thin crust so maybe that's the problem. They DO have a nice selection of specially pizzas to choose from and you can order by the slice if everyone likes something different. But overall, I'm just not a huge fan. I mean, the Margherita pizza was ok. The ingredients were fresh. But at $26 for a large, it was overpriced. I also ordered a chicken Parmesan sub. It was inedible. It was diced, dry chicken on a sub roll that had melted cheese on one side. No sauce. I threw it away. With Billy Pie across the street from this place, there's no reason to return. Gorgeous, fresh ingredients. Generous toppings. Toppings include avocado, olives, eggplant, roasted peppers, chicken, buffalo chicken. Booths, tables, and counter seating. I didn't see any alcohol for purchase, perhaps that's coming. Located in the old Cheeseburger in the Village Shopping Center at Three Chopt. After living in Charlottesville for 20 years, DH and I were thrilled to see our favorite pizza place come to Richmond. Sadly, it is not the same great pizza we used to enjoy so much. The set-up and selection is the same as Charlottesville, but the taste just does not seem the same to us. On this visit, DH had two slices of pepperoni (as is his custom) and I had a slice of the BBQ chicken pizza. The crust is nice, thin and crispy, which we both like. My slice was loaded with chopped chicken, bacon and cheese, and looked very appetizing. But it was the sauce that turned me off. It was way too sweet and I just could not finish my slice because of it. DH's pepperoni pizza was a safer and more traditional choice. But he was not crazy about his pizza sauce either, stating too much sweetness. Maybe it was this particular batch? I hope so. The other thing that sort of put me off is that their iced tea is not fresh brewed but a fountain drink from concentrate. I would expect that above the Mason-Dixon line. But not here in Richmond. I will wait to satisfy my Christian's Pizza cravings when I go to Charlottesville. read more

This is very close to our house, and price is always good. We always come here and garlic knots ($2.99 for 6) and 2 slices of pizza. Garlic knots are so garlicky and we love it. They are good even after a couple of days. They offer a good variety of specialty pizzas by the slice (offering a cost-effective way to sample). We enjoy the spicy grilled chicken, chicken Parmesan, and meat lover! They do a good job with the pizza; the crust is perfect thickness; sauce is flavorful; and they are very generous with the toppings. read more

Omg I love this place! April is amazing and Got me hooked on their cinnamon dough bites. Like let's talk about the cinnamon dough bites for a little bit. Deep fried dough with cinnamon and sugar and icing. Like these things are the most amazing thing on the planet and I probably eat about four orders of those things a week. I really wish I was lying about that fact. Their pizza is ginormous. Very high-quality crust and a very robust and flavorful sauce. This is definitely a delivery or take out place primarily. Even though it has tables, I don't recommend dining there. I met two friends for what was suppose to be a quick bite to eat on a Sunday evening. One friend and myself each ordered a slice of pizza. The other friend ordered a Stromboli. We also ordered mozzarella sticks for the 3 of us to share. The slices of pizza were served almost immediately from pre-made pizzas sitting out on the counter. Obviously, the pizzas had been sitting around for a while because the slices were rubbery, dried out and room temperature. After 30 minutes, of waiting for her Stromboli, my friend went to the counter and asked the young man how much longer for her Stromboli and our mozzarella sticks. He hands her the Stromboli, which apparently had been sitting on top of the oven in a box for quite sometime, because he forgot we were dining in and marked the Stromboli for pickup. As for the Mozzarella sticks, they forgot we ordered them. So, we had to wait another 15 minutes for the mozzarella sticks to cook. We just stumbled across across this place we're on our way to Billy pie's but they were closed and this was across the street. Two are great surprise one slice of pizza is actually two slices of pizza. And we have a dessert again all for under $11. It's a nice clean urban look highly recommend it. You come in, and the counter has sneeze guards on it, and behind that there are about a dozen finished pizzas under heat lamps. You choose your slices and they pop them back in the pizza oven for a real reheat. Awesome pizza. There are salads and drinks in a cooler when you walk in, or you can get sweet tea or a fountain drink. Mondays they do a tea dollar one topping eighteen inch pizza. Nice deal. This restaurant has gone downhill significantly. The pizza here is good, but the customer service is awful. Over the past couple of months I have grown increasingly annoyed at the lack of professionalism at this establishment and after a recent incident I will not be going back. Wait times are arbitrarily given or made up and orders are often forgotten (this has happened to me on numerous occasions and I have seen other people in the store complaining about the same thing). It should not take over an hour to prepare a pick-up order...and when it does an "I'm sorry it took so long" would be nice.
