I have been going into this restaurant for years. It was quick, convenient, fairly priced, and the employees were welcoming & nice. Those employees are no longer there... There is now a new owner who always has a bad attitude and doesn't speak until he's ready for payment. When I mentioned that I wish they still had the pizza ready by the slice bc it was so convenient for me, that seemed to hurt his feelings. When I told him I wouldn't be back, he said "Mission Accomplished". This guy doesn't know me and I have never been rude when going in there, including today. I did call him a D**K before I walked out of the door though... Apparently, he just doesn't like women who speak their mind. I will not be going back. He has raised prices drastically and now you have to place your own order at a kiosk. If I have to do your job, my food should be cheaper, not cost more. And the pizza is gross... This is the only review I've ever left on Yelp, but I will continue to tell everyone I know about this d**khead that now owns this store. I've only had the pleasure of encountering him twice and both times, he showed me exactly the kind of person he is. The first time was when he first took over ownership and started making changes, so I waited a few months, then went back to give it another try... I regret that. We just moved here and were trying to find our new go-to pizza place. After a rousing bout of food poisoning at the place with the red roof, we thought we'd give these guys a try. So glad we did because we really loved the pizza here. We ordered a medium pepperoni and a medium cheese and they were big and loaded with yummy cheese. Another place we looked at lists as a large what these guys consider a medium. The crust is PERFECT. It is not quite thin crust, but not quite thick crust. It is exactly where you want it to be. The first time I ever had linguini and clam sauce, it was so fantastic that it ruined me for all other linguini and clam sauce. I rarely order it at a restaurant because, although it's a pretty simple dish to make, it's also really easy to mess it up. The clams are either too tough, the garlic is overdone, they add cream, they overpower it with cheese, or the flavor is just blah. I heard the owners are from Sicily (don't quote me on that, I have no idea) and thought I'd take a chance. I wasn't disappointed. This was perfection. I had a craving for some pizza, and didn't want to have to travel too far from home to get it so, I stopped by Pizza Express. My kid told me all her friends like Pizza Express and I see why. When I walked I was greeted and told to order when I was ready. The dining area is cozy and clean. They have two flat screen Tv's mounted. There where a few people dining in, and a constant stream of people picking up orders. I ordered a medium pepperoni and 12 mild wings to go. I was told it would be about 15 to 20 mins on the cook time. It was a little warm inside so I sat outside at the chair and table set. The wings were perfect and I hope they can match themselves next time I go back. They were just the right size not scary big or super small. The wings were packed with flavor and not just from the sauce. They were crisp and perfect. The pizza was great. Had just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni. I was craving Topper's chipotle carnitas and Magoo's veggie pizzas but since you can't get neither here in Chester, we tried out this pizzeria. We got a large veggie with fresh garlic. It was huge and I liked that it was not greasy. Thin crust was ok...just did not have much of flavor. It got a little soggy with a ton of veggies (broccoli?-interesting, onions, mushroom-canned, olives, and peppers) but we ordered a side of marinate sauce and it was delicious as a dipping sauce. Ordered lunch for delivery last week. My order took an hour to get here and I'm only about 5 miles away, so that was a little disappointing. I did order right around noon, so I guess they were busy. When my personal pizza and salad finally arrived the pie was only warm, not hot. Still, it was a nicely done pizza. Fresh mushrooms, good quality mozzarella, and a nice chewy crust. It was pretty delicious, and would have been even better if it were a few degrees warmer. The small pizza is a pretty good size too, I couldn't finish it. I ordered a side salad too, and that thing was pretty sad. At $3.00, it seemed like a great bargain, but that only counts if you eat it. It was wet green leaf lettuce, a couple white onion slices and a single slice of tomato. Then again, pizza delivery joints generally do not have the best salads. It's hard for me to write review on Pizza express because I don't fancy chain store pizza. I was in a pinch and no mom and pop type pizza place was around so I had to give it a try. I did not like the pizza. It's a chain store pizza. My wife had some chicken soup and a Turkey panini. Soup was a little salty, but the panini was good. We have ordered the Hoagie Pizza from her several times. Delicious! Tonight...my mistake.... HUGE mistake on my part.... I ordered the Stuffed Pizza. In my mind....stuffed meant stuffed... with at least sauce.... I ordered extra cheese. That was ALL that came on it.. except a ton of cheese. The cheese was good... but No sauce...dry as a bone. Did not realize stuffed meant you had to add ANY extras for a serious price.... which would have put put our pizza at about $40 with the tip. Soooo...sooo not with worth it! We ended up with a super super cheesed stuffed pizza with a wisp of sauce that we tossed out. Huge waste of money. The delivery time and driver were very acceptable.... but for over $30 for a MEDIUM pizza? Nope! Not worth it. My husband LOVES the Hoagie pizza...me... gives me super heartburn. So, I ordered from this business on Thursday Sept. 22nd,through the Slice App. I prefer to support local businesses. I was quoted a delivery time of 35 to 40 minutes at the latest. After a hour I reached out to Slice and was told they had only one driver and were delayed, ok I get that. However, after about an hour and 20 minutes I discovered the pizza on my front porch covered in ants. No one rang my doorbell nor knocked on my door. I reached out again through the Slice App and requested a refund for $35 which I paid for the pizza including tip. I was told that they couldn't get authorization from the store manager to issue the refund and they would try again the next day. After not hearing anything over 24 hours later I was told that they were still not able to get the managers ok for a refund. As far as I am concerned they stole $35 from me. I would caution any considering this business or the Slice App because they obviously don't appreciate their customers. I am highly upset! read more

If you're looking for fast or express pizza with poor quality than this is your place because you are getting a pre-cooked cheese pizza to which they add your specified toppings and then reheat your pizza when you order which equals "express". I recently ordered two pizzas for a family gathering. One was a med veggie pizza, which was really good. The other was the Fair and Square pizza. I requested that this pizza had 1/2 with Pepperoni added and the other 1/2 as listed on the menu (mozzarella, parm, and marinara sauce. This pizza had so much sauce on it, I could not even see where the pepperoni was and the center of the pie was just plain soggy.... the crust was limp and under cooked. Very good pizza. I've only tried a few other menu items but I've heard everything is good - or at least everything any of my friends have ever tried is. They deliver, but we live outside of their delivery area so have to pick up. This place was rated top pizza and top salad for the area so I thought I would give it a try. The salads were above average with fresh vegetables. Disappointed in the salad dressing--little packet of salad dressing like you get in the drive thru places. Would have been a fantastic salad with fresh home made vinaigrette or Italian dressing. The pizza was good but nothing to boast about. The crust was chewy and cooked well with a nice brown crust. The sauce was just how I like it, a nice tomato sauce without over-powering with seasoning and garlic. The cheese did not seem like good quality cheese. It was quite salty and there was an excessive amount of grease on the pizza. The food was good. Nothing bad to say but I was expecting more with all the awards this place has won. Have been going here for over 20 years, but the last couple years they have gone down hill in service. Five out of 10 deliveries they have brought the wrong item and the most recent one it took over an hour to bring the correct sandwich and when I ask them to cancel it and refund my money I was told they could not refund me but could give me a 10% discount on my next purchase. Now they made the mistake bringing the wrong sandwich but would not give me my money back then told me the driver could not find my house but the first driver did. That said, this little take-away and delivery gem, tucked into a semi-abandoned strip mall in Henrico, has real pizza. REAL pizza, people, not "pizza cake." Added bonus: they've got salads and pasta a-plenty to assuage the appetite of the non-pizza human. Bonus, for me, is they're in my nabe. I think instead of tomato sauce, they used buffalo sauce, but I couldn't tell.
