Food was decent and service was fast and friendly. My job orders the pizza from this spot quite often. This place is probably better on a late night. I'll probably still continue to frequent the establishment because it's convenient, but it wouldn't be my first choice!

Boneless wings with BBQ Sauce....meh.

I've ordered Pizza D'Oro thru Grubhub twice in the last four weeks. Last time, I ordered a 12" Golden Supreme pizza and Jalapeño Poppers. Unfortunately, the pizza was undercooked and sloppily cut.....I had to tear it apart. The jalapeño poppers were obviously frozen, store bought and were bland and cold by the time I got them. To their credit, the pizza toppings and crust were flavorful, and the delivery was timely. This time, I again ordered the Golden Supreme Pizza (14" this time) and boneless chicken wings. The chicken wasn't anything to write home about....it was ok. The pizza was still a little doughy in the center, but was cut better and was downright....beautiful. It was also very tasty. Like Papa Johns, they provide garlic butter to dip the crust in. If they can get the cook right, their pizza will be amazing. I'll give em another try.. :-)

super cool place, glad they're open late - visited at 10:15 on a Wednesday and their pizza came out super hot and the staff was really nice!

Hair on the bottom right.

I ordered Seamless delivery tonight and the delivery was quite quick. The pizza tasted great to be honest. Then I found a hair on the slice which I've uploaded here. I called asking for a full refund of my whole order and they claimed they would give me a full refund, then said a driver would be picking up the bad pizza. Waited over an hour, no driver came and no refund came through. Called again and was told this time that they can't issue refunds, only Seamless can (which is a lie, I used to have a Seamless restaurant myself and have personally issued refunds). Then they doubted my story saying only men work there so how can there be a hair. It was a short curly hair clearly baked into the pizza crust. Then they said they couldn't help me and they hung up on me. I called Seamless to ask for my refund (offering to send the photo) and they called the restaurant, and FINALLY a refund for just that item was issued. Waste of time overall.

The sandwiches looked epic and the photos of the place looked adorable for a local joint. We walked over from our hotel in Georgetown and were overwhelmed by the sandwich choices. Caught between the Grinder and the Pastrami, we went with the employee's suggestion for the latter. About 5 minutes later we were handed a wrapped sandwich the size of a football. We found a quiet spot to unwrap and enjoy it and dug in. Frankly, I wouldn't order it again, and I think we would have enjoyed the grinder more. It was just a huge pile of meat on pumpernickel bread with mustard. Flavor was meh. Neither of us was overwhelmed for nearly $25. Props for the cute European goods in the shop, though, and the employees were courteous and friendly. But next time I'll look elsewhere for lunch.

I heard good things about their sandwiches. My go to is normally Mangialardo's on Pennsylvania Ave in SE DC or Carl's Subbs on Rhode Island Ave in NE DC. I think I will stick to both of them next time. The staff was very friendly and helpful to me as a first timer but the sandwich was totally disapointing! NOT worth it, at all. I ordered a 9 inch capicola, ham, and cheese sub on the hard roll. The roll was very good and fresh but I couldn't taste the cheese or meat in the sandwich because there wasn't enough of it. I tasted the bread, the toppings of lettuce, tomato and onions. I decided to deconstruct the sandwich and found exactly 4 very thinly sliced pieces of meat and 2 very thinly sliced pieces of cheese as pictured clearly in the photographs. I also noticed that the they have different prices for the same type of meats. For example, they have a $29.99 per pound Capicola and one for $9.99 a pound. I asked which went on the sandwich and of course it was the cheaper one. That wasn't surprising and getting my sandwich back to the office. I decided not to eat the rest of the meatless sandwich and just take the loss. I wouldn't come back nor would I recommend a friend to try it

I was in the neighborhood for a couple days for work and this shop was only two blocks away. Two things I love- a good sub and a short walk - so it's automatic for me. The sandwich was stuffed with a heap of veggies (mushrooms, peppers, onions, arugula) with goat cheese and topped with lemon aioli, delicious! The Monaco roasted veggie sandwich is very flavorful! The sandwich was stuffed with fried eggplant, grilled zucchini, stracciatella, tomato, arugula and roasted red pepper spread. The Parmigiano sandwich with eggplant was more like a Caprese sandwich with fresh mozzarella cheese, greens, tomato, and crispy thinly sliced eggplant stuffed between scrumptious moist Focaccia bread. This isn't a traditional sloppy Joe's Eggplant Parm sandwich (there's no marinara sauce!) While the ingredients were neatly tucked inside and I enjoyed the sandwich, the sandwich particularly was a little bit dry and I think a bit of sauce like pesto or marinara would go a long way. I got the Caprese sandwich which was good, but it could really use a bit of salt. If it was an option to add Bacon, I would've definitely done that.
