    Provolone and meatball calzone
    Willie R.

Note: This is a delivery review only. I wasn't expecting too much because, well, it's a pizza delivery place. But Sicilian Pizza pleasantly surprised me. I ordered a custom calzone (I like that they offer those) with provolone, meatballs, and sun-dried tomatoes. The app gave an estimate of about 45 minutes delivery time, and the driver arrived five minutes early. The calzone was hot and clearly had just come out of the oven before being brought over. Already, that was earning them brownie points. I enjoyed the calzone itself, which was a nice size and wasn't too greasy--a common sin of cheap calzones (read: Sbarro's in any mall anywhere). The little marinara sauce was also good, although I had to ration the container since it was small. Next time, I'll have to do one of their select-a-topping pizzas!

    Large pepperoni pizza

I wanted to give sicilian pizza a high rating, due to their quick service on a Friday night. It took approximately 20 minutes for the delivery man to arrive in front of my apartment. The pizza came out piping hot (which is what I LOVE), so kudos! The pepperoni pizza was good. The only thing that I would make note of is the tomato sauce - it was a little too sweet for my savory tastebuds. However, for the price, you can't really beat it (since it seems like food is just generally expensive in DC). Would definitely call for delivery again when I have a hankering for some simple pizza!

Good quality ingredients with generous and smiling service. Great experience all around.

I order pizza from there as per recommendation of our friend. The selections on website were pretty interesting and fairly reasonable prices. I got spinach and artichoke one. Pizza arrived after 35 min or so, hot and looking delicious. On my 3rd slice I bit into something hard almost breaking my tooth. I was back closing of an earring!!! I love additional toppings in my pizza but not when they are metal and might cause some damage. I won't be coming back!!

Terrible pizza. That's how little sauce there was on this pizza. I was undercooked under seasoned and under sauced.

Please put your money elsewhere for pizza. I have never had so bad of pizza in my life. It was bland, soft and gummy from being undercooked, was in desperate need of salt, desperate need of of more sauce. I put up a picture just to show how little sauce there was. Just don't waste your money. Their cheesecake was decent though. Idk how that happens. That's why they got 2 stars. I just want to point out that I have had government issued school lunch pizza that has been better than this. I was so angry at this pizza that I threw a slice at the wall. Just don't buy from here.

Sicilian pizza is one of the best pizza I had in DC for the following reasons: 1. Taste: We usually get the two topping pizza with extra cheese. According to my roommates when they first order from there, the quality of the pizza is tolerable but the more we order from there the quality increases by a million. It actually tastes amazing now. 2. Service: We never use their delivery service since we live right down the block. They often make the wrong order.....but if they do, they always make us a new one. So we end up with two pizzas with the price of one! Can't complain on that!

Dined in restaurant on a Saturday around 8pm. When I approached the hostess table, she asked "table…read morefor 2?" even though I was by myself. She was most likely on auto pilot and appeared embarrassed when she realized it. I politely smiled and said (confidently), table for 1. We solo diners need to be loud and proud! I digress... Before being seated I found the restroom. I found it odd that it was extremely dim. The main dining room was brighter than the restroom! I also saw the Photo Booth. Interesting addition. $5 for pictures. I was seated at a small round table with two chairs by the window. The restaurant was plenty busy, and I'm just glad I wasn't asked if I wanted to sit at the bar (I didn't). My server Noel brought two bottles of water: still and sparkling. I requested lemon slices, which he brought. And I proceeded to finish the entire bottle of sparkling by the end of the meal...guess I was thirsty! But I appreciated the option of both. I forgot to ask for a straw, but saw them in a container at the register right behind my table, so I got one myself. After ordering I noticed a nearby table had some bread so I asked Noel if they served complimentary bread. He said yes and apologized for not bringing it initially. Not that I needed it, but I don't eat bread with butter often and this was a night out to indulge a bit. There were two slices, nothing special. My food arrived within about 10-15 minutes and looked so scrumptious. I ordered the lamb and short rib meatballs and Brussels sprouts. The meatballs were pretty good, but what made them even better was the tzatziki sauce. I didn't realize the green rice was on one side of the plate until I was almost done. That tzatziki sauce was really all I needed to go with the meatballs. It was cool and creamy to go with the dry, meatiness of the meatballs. I honestly wish there had been more of it! I did not finish the rice, which didn't look super appetizing because of the intense green color. I will say though, I'm not a fan of spicy food but the tzatziki had a kick. I think perhaps due to chopped jalapeños. I tried to avoid them once I realized. The Brussels were delicious! Roasted to perfection, not too charred and not too mushy. I requested the green goddess sauce on the side because I'm not a huge sauce person, but once I tried it, I couldn't stop. Again, the combination of the creaminess of the sauce with the flakiness of the Brussels was a genius pairing. During the meal the beverage manager stopped by. I didn't have any drinks with the meal, but perhaps I will return to see what they have. Noel brought the bill at my request, then brought over the portable device so I could pay at the table. While that process is efficient, it's always awkward leaving a tip when the server is standing right there. Anyhow, overall it was a good experience and a delicious meal!

It ended up being a little dry, but the fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and a hit with everyone at the table. My son had the NY strip steak with mashed potatoes and really enjoyed it. The steak was cooked well, and the mashed potatoes were incredibly creamy and smooth. I ordered the sugar snap pea salad with salmon, and it was exactly what I was looking for on a hot summer evening. The salad was fresh, light, and refreshing, with a subtle hint of mint that really made the flavors pop. The salmon was perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with the salad. My friend ordered the sugar snap salad with chicken Milanese, and the portion was enormous. The chicken literally covered the entire plate! It looked delicious and would easily satisfy a hearty appetite. The Mac & cheese was cooked well with a nice crust on top. Overall, the food was fresh, the portions were generous, and there was something for everyone. I'd definitely return the next time I'm in DC.
