Pizza was REALLY good. Great ingredients, all the way around. service and attention to detail could be better.

Yummy, pizza so good. Loved it! The service was awesome. Priced right. Finally found a unique worth driving to pizza joint. :-)

Pizza was awesome and the interior was classy for as small of a place it is. The server was very friendly. I don't recommend bringing kids with as the place echos and of course kids can be kind of loud. I wouldn't recommend hanging around after to have a cig as a pan handler may come around and ask for money.... Other than that, great authentic pizza and worth ordering take out!! read more

Great food some of the best pizza and pasta I've ever had. Looks definitely are deceiving with this one! I'm glad I did not judge the book by the cover! read more

Excellent place! Spaghetti and meat balls and the chicken parmigiana were great. Can't wait to come back and try the pizza!

It's all about the oven! Wood fired brick oven I'm guessing. Excellent Pizza!! If you ever wanted to prove the saying "don't judge a book by the cover" this would be the place! I've driven past here a hundred times a didn't think twice. Then I got hold of a Pizza Top 10 list and this was on it. I even tried coming here twice before and left without coming inside. I wish I would have. I will definitely be back for more! Also the interior isn't what you would expect, it is very tasteful. Woohoo, I got a new pizza destination. read more

This place is delicious! We are out-of-towners who dropped in for lunch based on all the positive reviews and are so glad we did. Had the prosciutto pizza, spaghetti, and a mixed greens salad - everything was awesome. read more

Pizza A Metro - Delicious - Italian Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Love this place! Were from El Paso, TX & every time we come to Phoenix this is a must stop place for us to dine at. Try it, you won't regret it :) read more

This place is a hidden gem. Great little intimate place with a casual atmosphere. Yes, it's on the border of a shady area in-town but have never had any problems. Food is very good and service is always excellent. read more

This is a hidden gem!! Excellent and authentic Italian food at a good price! Service is awesome and a nice quaint intimate environment. It's one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I often bring people who visit from out of town for the excellent food. read more

A little pricey, but is definitely worth it if you want a quality pizza. Small location, and the staff is nice, they gave me a free tiramisu cake the second time I stopped by. Would come by again if I had the extra cash read more

I can't believe I'm the only person sitting in this restaurant at 12:30 PM on a weekday. After reading the amazing reviews I feared I wouldn't be able to get a table. The fettuccine primavera with tomato vodka cream sauce was exceptional. Can't wait to try the pizza next. This place really is a little gem. read more

I dropped in a while back on National Cheese Pizza Day and wasn't disappointed. I went with their Margherita pizza and they brought out some bread with a bruschetta style dip that was outstanding, all for around $12!! I was very satisfied with the food and the price was an added surprise. read more

One of the best pizza spots in Phoenix, always fresh ingredients and super nice staff!

I had my doubts. Some family and I had found ourselves in Phoenix somewhat unexpectedly, and when looking for places to eat I turned to yelp. There appeared to be some doubt among my relatives as to the wisdom of trusting people on the internet. This was not helped when we pulled up and realized that the restaurant is in a strip mall attached to a gas station. Luckily, we went in. We then spent the next hour having not only the best pizza I've tasted in AZ, but some of the most entertaining service of my life. A real treat. read more

This is one of my favorite spots. I work downtown and usually make it here once a week or every other week. I came here and was happy to order chicken Marsala and hear a few minutes latter the chief pounding chicken cutlets, reminded me of home. Fresh and on point, the Alfredo is out of this world and the pizzas are the same. They have a large brick over to cook there pizza and the pizza comes out thin crust as if it was made in a bakers pride oven. Don't let the outside deter you, once inside it is a very modern romantic look with a few tables. Great date spot or place to pick up to go. One last thing, every time I go to Pizza a metro the service is some of the best I've experienced in the food industry. read more

amazing "balsamic salsa" served with pizza bread chips instead of bread, and a wonderful eggplant parm. Only gripe? can't access menu directly online, have to go thru a takeout website. read more

Awesome pizza! Friendly service and great prices...it's a hidden gem. Definitely recommend the margherita pizza. Have been there numerous times since moving in to the neighborhood. read more

Outstanding food!!! Being from NY I know good Italian food and this place is it. I've heard they have a place in Scottsdale also, but I have not been there. read more

This was awesome pizza, bread, and service!! We picked this place from Yelp and was not disappointed!! Highly recommend!!

They have yet to dissapoint me in 4 years :) I love their Margherita pizza with extra basil!

Don't be fooled by the curb appeal or lack thereof. The food is really good! I always get the spaghetti bolognese. This restaurant is actually very small. I think it only has 2-3 tables. I order to go. read more

My son and I were in town and went by Pizzeria Bianco and didn't want to wait 2 hours, so while on the way back to the hotel, my son used Yelp and found this little gem. The pizza was pretty good, and I had a pasta special that was quite good. The owner was very attentive. The nearby table had ordered a large pizza, and they were served a slab that was 1' x 3' on a wooden plank. Very Impressive! The only negative is that the guy cooking the pizzas should let them get a little browner (maybe even a little char) to make the taste more authentic. read more

Great food and service! They really went out of their way to accommodate our family - from tired, hungry kids to out of town guests who were missing the taste of authentic Italian food...not the first time we have been here, but this recent trip made it worthy of review. Our waitress was happy to offer suggestions; wine was great and she was attentive to keeping it filled. Food - I had al dente penne with chicken and vodka sauce, and my husband had a seafood plate (we can't remember the name but fabulous) - everyone's food came out quickly and delicious. It's a cozy place that readily attended to us and took care of our crew, and it really couldn't have done any better. read more

Free bruchetta with excellent flavor. ordered a margherita pizza. it was light and tasty. excellent lunch!

Took my 10 year old here for his birthday. We sat outside because it was such a beautiful March evening. Despite the strip mall environment, the restaurant staff and food were top notch. We will be back. read more

Absolutely the best restaurant we've been to in a long time. The salmon Lombardo was fabulous!!!! It looks like just a hole in the wall restaurant but the food was better than many 5 star restaurants. Or actually most!! read more

I had reasonably high hopes, but just was really not impressed. Not my kind of pizza, and the pizza was a bit undercooked.

I love this place. Yes it's tiny, and yes it's in a crappy strip mall and yes it's a tad pricey, BUT it is some of the best authentic true Italian style Neapolitan pizza and pasta in Phoenix. They make everything from scratch, including the mozzarella, from very fresh, high end ingredients. If you know real italian food, you can really tell the difference. I have spoken to the owner and staff many times, and they know they are a little pricey, but they want to maintain the high quality standards. And it's not like they are expensive by any means. I have no problem paying a couple extra dollars for great quality. Someone compared this place to Pinos. Pinos has great NY style pizza, not Italian style Neapolitan, so you cant compare them because they are very different styles. That makes it clear that the reviewer didn't have a clue what they were talking about. I prefer Neapolitan, so I prefer Pizza A Metro to Pinos. The ingredients are much fresher and higher quality. Plus the staff at PIno's tend to be rather rude and they nickle and dime you over everything, so I only go there if I am in the mood for NY style, which they do well. The pizza is excellent and authentic, as is the pasta. The pollo parmesan is fantastic. The sauce is true Italian style and very fresh. They serve fresh bread made from pizza crust with all pasta. I usually ask for marinara sauce instead of the olive/onion mixture and mix it with some olive oil. A previous reviewer says they stopped serving it, but that's definitely not correct. They only serve it with pasta, not pizza, so that may be the confusion. My favorites are the Pizza with meatballs, the pollo parmesan and the capricciosa pizza. And the Vodke Penne is just amazing. The cannoli are delicious, if a bit over priced. Pizza A Metro is truly a gem in Phoenix - an authentic Italian restaurant like you might find in an Italian neighborhood in a larger city. The food is excellent, authentic and fresh. The staff is friendly. I go there a few times a month and have never had a bad experience. Check it out. read more

Truly a diamond in the rough. The pasta with vodka sauce had my tastebuds jivin' and toes curlin'

good service, great tasty food and a very friendly athmosphere. I totally recomend it, specially for the pizza lovers

Don't let the location or the door steer you aways from amazing food. This place serves some amazing pizza and pasta. The staff is really friendly and once inside the atmosphere makes you forget the area around you. read more

Tried this place today and definitely will be back. The pizza was delicious. The crust was just right. They also gave us a free appetizer and it was really good. The waiter was also very friendly and the service was excellent. read more

The food was so amazing!!! The portions are big. And the prices are amazing for the quality of food and how much food you get. You can watch your pizza cook in the brick oven and you can watch them make it. I cannot express how much I loved everything. They also have a large variety of other, non pizza, dishes to choose from and they are just as delicious. The service was fabulous. read more

Another fantastic dinner. Had Creme of zucchini soup to start, excellent is an understatement .. then the best pizza in Arizona...

Tiny restaurant in what might have once been a convenience store. The pasta was good, filling and competent, better than an Olive Garden but not particularly amazing or memorable. It was something with vodka sauce. The real specialty of this spot is the wood-fired pizzas! House made mozzarella, sauce and dough. I had the meter long pizza (that's right a 3 foot long wood fired pizza) with sausage and basil, best pizza I've had. read more

Great pizza, great environment! I've had pizza at many places in Arizona, and they all have a lot of work to do to catch up. Though i did not expect much from this place from the looks of it, i was pleasantly surprised. I have been there several times now, and will continue in the future. read more

Woohoo! As good as gets! Probably would give four and half stars but since I liked it a little more than that I'm glad yelp sticks to whole stars and not fractions of them. Great pizza, with broccoli my favorite vegetable, is what you'll find on this menu! And at 10 bucks for a small, which could easily feed two people your wallet certainly won't be giving you grief. Oh, and the vodka penne pasta was so rich is was like a dessert but in pasta form, fantastic-ness-ism-astic! read more

The pizza was really good had pepperoni and mushroom, another time had the pasta a la vodka, really good a bit salty due to all the bacon, but still really good, will go back. Neighborhood not so great, you will most likely be asked for spare change. read more

A few weeks ago I was extremely disappointed in my pasta. Margarita (the owner) replied back instantly and ensured me that she's not sure what happened but their Alfredo pasta is super good and she had insisted I'd come back. Today I came back but not only am I extremely satisfied at the food and how it turned out but the customer service was also amazing being that I had ordered through door dash. I ordered a pizza for the other staff in my classroom and they loved it! They ate it all in 10 minutes!! Margarita was super accommodating and I appreciate what she did. So in my new review I'd definitely recommend the Alfredo Pasta and this restaurant!!! read more
