Excellent, fresh food. We all ordered something different and everything was fantastic. Margarita is a wonderful host!

Food is fantastic restaurant staff are great even with the poor location I give it five stars.

Wonderful experience and delicious food. Portion sizes were generous and flavors were exceptional.

It's hard to really fault this place. The pizza is so good and the prices are totally down to earth for what you're getting. There are a few places in the upper echelon of pizza making the Valley of the Sun, but, this is one of them. There's not much room for seating so try to get there a bit early if you're trying to dodge a crowd. read more

A little whole in the wall that serves decent pizza. DEFINITELY not what I expected. Great service too!

Okay, I have passed this place in the past, no more!!! Capricciosa pizza, all I can say, yummy, yummy, yummy. The side salad was good, the service great. Had the complimentary crust appetizer for dessert (LOL)... Can't wait to go back. read more

Favorite lunch spots when I travel to Phoenix for business. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I will def be back when I return.

Yum! An awesome Italian restaurant in the middle of sketch-ville. Tonight I tried the cheese ravioli (take out), and was pretty impressed... Impressed enough to tell everyone at work they might have been the best ravioli I've ever had. All of their pastas are homemade, and it shows. The pasta was light, fresh and delicious, as was the cheese inside. The sauce screamed fresh, and had the perfect spicy bite to it. An added bonus were the little pita-like things that I suppose come with all entrees. They came from the wood fire oven, which smelled incredible while inside the restaurant. Here's the deal... it's not the best part of town, but you won't get stabbed or mugged here, so park your car and come inside for some gooooooood food. read more

I always see this place because it is right by my work and finally decided to give it a try. Absolutely love it!!! The pizza is amazing! I have also had the Chicken Cesar Salad, which is pretty yummy as well. As an appetizer they give you baked dough pieces with a tomato vinegarette dipping sauce. The staff is very friendly and always smiling. I love Pizza A Metro! read more

Amazing food and service. You want to eat hear, it is next to a Circle K. Give it a shot or grab takeout at the least.

This is what pizza should be. It's a thin crust but has some chew. The fact that it's cooked in 'fire' lends beautiful charred marks around the crust. The sauce is flavorful and not overdone. Same with the amount of cheese they use. The basil is a nice addition that adds a pop of freshness. I'm so glad I found this place. This will be the spot from now on. Old school flavor for sure. read more

The food was delicious, the service was friendly and prompt and the price was right. What else do you need to know?

What's not to love about delicious pizza and pasta within biking distance? Don't let the location fool you, tasty food awaits inside.

They make the best cheese and anchovy pizza in the city! Great food in a very interesting location. Try it, you'll love it.

This place is a hidden gem, the pizza is amazing. The Ametro pizza is perfect for a dinner party its a meter long and serves a huge hungry bunch of people. Everything is fresh and delish. Im glad they are right down the street from us. Finally a great pizza place in central Phx!! read more

I love this place. The pizza is a Neapolitan style with a great thin crispy crust and good toppings. One of my personal favorites is the chicken Parmesan. One thing is it is very small so I always get my food to go. read more

I know everyone is raving about their pizza, which IS very good, but I can't get enough of their homemade ravioli with vodka sauce it is absolutely killer. read more

Great service and very friendly! First time here and they took care of us very well. Food is super tasty!

Really, really good food. Believe every good review you read. I can't speak for the pizza, but the pasta dishes we've gotten from here have been top notch. Don't judge the book by its cover. It's a true ma and pa operation, so it doesn't look like much. The location isn't impressive. If you're looking for swank or glitzy, this isn't for you. You won't find a cluster of hipsters or scenesters trying to feel important. What you will find is amazing food. It's worth going out of your way to try it. Enjoy! read more

Moved from the east coast and this is just like home it's my absolute favorite restaurant in the valley. All around service is great and food is delicious read more

Want great pizza, drive an extra 2 miles east on Thomas and go to Pino's Pizaa al centro. Want OK pizza, come to Pizza a Metro. The place is TINY. I mean Tiny. No bathroom. Most of the Restaurant is the kitchen, which, frankly is a shame because the food they put out doesn't warrant that much kitchen space. But my big gripe -- Why bother to put in a wood burning oven if your Pizza is going to be soggy and short on flavor? You could do this right, easily. read more

We love this place! The pizza is phenomenal but the chicken Marsala is to die for!! Always a win ! Love the people who run it and the service is always great! read more

Best pizza if you're looking for authentic. Try the vegetarian pizza. Fresh ingredients.

What is this place doing here?!? Found on the corner of a slum strip of stores including a circle K and a dollar store so pointless that it must be some kind of front, the teeny nugget of gold known as Pizza a Metro (named for their meter long pizza) has been feeding my family now for several years. They have several pasta dishes (my favorite is the Spaghetti Bolognese) that are flawless. The pizzas are made in a brick oven. The bread is so very light and lovely; the sauce, bright and tangy. My favorite pizza is the Saporita which has a homemade sausage and broccoli. This place even offers calamari and fabulous salads. The owner Mauro is an immigrant from Tuscany. I am thankful that he brought us this lovely restaurant. The only thing I would change - no fountain drinks. read more

At first we weren't so sure about this place but reviews on yelp convinced us to try it. Absolutely no regrets! Love the food!! Great service! read more

Who ever said this place was just as good as Cibo, has got to be out of their mind. Aside from being in a terrible neighborhood the pizza was just okay. For take try Pino's we give them Pino's 5 starts. For dine in Cibo is our go to place and absolutely deserving of 5 stars. read more

Awesome pizza and great service. The calamari was delicious and the cheesecake sublime. I would definitely go again. It was well worth the drive from Tucson. read more

I finally found the greatest Pizza on the planet, absolutely delicious, I usually eat pizza once a week, but this pizza I can eat three or four times a week, it's that good, you can tell that it's made the old Italian way, by this I mean with love an from a true chief who cares about taste an great quality, not stingy with the ingredients, I have yet to try anything but the pizza, which I imagine that it is as good as the pizza is, but the pizza is out of this world, maybe one day I will try something else, but for now I'm hooked on the pizza. Thanks for the delicious mouth watering pizza guy's and gals from Pizza A Metro read more

Great light pizza. Visited it on a business trip in Phoenix az. From WA originally. Nice parlor in downtown.

The restaurant is in an old shopping strip by the Circle K, kinda sketch, but don't skip this place because of that! Great food and great service. The wedding soup and lasagna were both excellent and making the trip for. read more

I TOTALLY hit the jackpot in finding Pizza A Metro... This is truly a locally owned, neighborhood gem, but that description doesn't do it justice. Granite top tables, nice (NICE) tableware and good wine glasses, a beautiful little dining room with a great view of the talented kitchen staff making your food. But the FOOD!!! OMG the food is so good it defies description. First, the "bread" service is a warm and delicious flat bread style that comes to the table with a bowl of bruschetta-style tomato topping that is mixed with olive oil and a gorgeous balsamic. We had the calamari fritti, which was honestly some of the best I"ve ever had. They make their mozzerella IN HOUSE (right?!?!) and it's just awesome in the generous caprese appitizer. Our table had the penne alla vodka, the house made chese ravioli, and the linguini with fresh clams. I've had the best Italian food all over the country and this stands with or above virtually ALL of them. The pasta is perfectly al dente, the sauces are subtle and flavorful, and the clams were fresh in the shell. The desserts (which we took to go because we were so full) are also all house made and it's so obvious. The quality and flavor just can't be found in the pre-produced, preservative-laden stuff served in most restaurants. The new owner (about 6 months) has kept the staff and menu unchanged from the previous owner, but actually lowered the prices. They have a nice beer selection and the wines are all $22 a bottle or $6 a glass. We had the chianti and it was perfect. The owner explained that they can't yet support a full-time delivery person, so he does the deliveries himself. He explained that during the busy lunch and dinner hours, delivery may be slow or difficult, but that he's doing the best he can until they can get a dedicated person. I fear I'm going to spend all of my dining dollars at Pizza A Metro. I haven't yet had the pizza but the wood-fired pizza oven was putting out some amazing looking product. I watched the crusts being lovinginly hand tossed and those pizzas were COVERED in toppings. I can't wait to try a pizza next. We have to support this gem and keep it going, because we don't have anything else like this in central Phoenix. GET THE DAMN PENNE!! ****************************** UPDATE: got pizza delivery this past week and honestly, I liked it about 98% as much as I like Bianco. The fresh mozzerella and the fresh basil and the amazing crust... Wow. Just wow. read more

If you love brick oven pizza, this place has some of the best I've ever had. We were visiting Phoenix and read reviews on this place and decided to try it. It's a quaint Italian restaurant run my an Italian that offers many Italian classics. If I ever find myself in the area I would definitely eat there again. read more

This is a great pizza or it's your fault for not choosing the right toppings. As I like the fresh topoig flavors , the taste and texture of the crust, not a heavy sauce or buttery , overly cheese topped pizza. read more

Definitely the best Italian we have had in a long time. Chicken Parm finished in the wood fired oven....wow! That in itself adds a complexity to the dish found nowhere else. Marinara made in house, perfectly cooked pasta, delicate Ravioli, this is one not to miss! Do not be put off by the location, or the funky and tiny interior...these guys can cook Italian! OR...Goodyear read more
