Herbert is THE MAN. A shop quoted me $350 for coilover install, they did it for $250. I didn't even have to ask them to beat it. They'll even go above and beyond and tighten a few loose bolts. Other shops will just ignore symptoms in your car (or even add more so that you would come back). Best shop in Glendale. Would highly recommend. read more

Amazing shop. I had went to 3 previous shops to get my problem fixed but none of them were able to even find the problem... I went to Pit Stop to see if they can fix my problem and right away they told me what my problem was and fixed it in no time. Very honest people and definitely know what they're doing. I will be going back here for my future car needs. read more

It's hard to find a trustworthy performance shop in LA, I'm glad I found Pit Stop Motor Tuning. Herbert and his team were very accommodating, I was able to work remotely from their office while they worked on my car. Herbert is honest and was able to install my parts very quickly. The pricing and Pit Stop Motor Tuning can't be beat, I highly recommend this shop to anyone that wants quality work done on their vehicle. read more

On most days, you will see exotic cars, including Corvettes, BMW M badges, AMG's, and Porsches. Pit Stop also specializes in the more environmentally friendly hybrid vehicles. I am so grateful to have come across this gem of a business! Honestly never expected to have my car fixed in a matter of just about 2 weeks. I got rear ended and had internal damages on my 2018 BMW 3 series, and they got started with the damages right away! Without a second thought, bringing my car and friends/relatives cars here for any future needs. Thank you Pit Stop Motor Tuning!! read more

So happy I found Pit Stop! Their service and pricing is unbeatable. Nobody likes having to get their car serviced or repaired, but the crew at Pit Stop make it almost enjoyable. They are so accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. Truly professionals! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! My car broke down over the weekend and I had it towed to Pit Stop. Herbert was wonderful and came in on a Sunday to bring the car inside and phoned my first thing Monday morning to discuss repairs. The repairs were made super quickly and the pricing was so fair. Informative, knowledgeable, and honest. The words I use to describe the service and expertise I received from 'Herb' at Pit Stop Motor Tuning. I've been modifying cars/trucks for about 10 years now, and Herb's service/expertise ranks up to one of the best places I have taken my car too. I was actually referred to Pit Stop from a friend in the industry and I was told this would be the guy to go to for a suspension install/setup (and you know we've all heard that before). However,, because I had my car at another shop (which was I unsatisfied with) I decided to take my buddies advise and move my car to Pit Stop for my suspension installation, and glad I did! My install was KW suspension with wheel spacers; which on my car wasn't as simple as predicted From the start of dropping off my car at Pit Shop I felt confident my ride was in good hands just after speaking with Herb. Pit Stop was very direct/forward with what was going to be done and how it would be tackled. Herb was able to explain how each process was going to be worked and also explained in depth how he would install my system to fit my personal needs (this was after I explained how I wanted my ride to sit and what I was going to be using this vehicle). The same explanation and process followed once the car was being worked on and also after the car was completed (a full thorough summary was given on how this install went). Additionally, Pit Stop was also able to identify small errors the previous shop had made, and brought these things to my attention (which I appreciated very much). Lastly, what I enjoyed most was the fact they were calling me every step of the install process to verify what they were doing was 'okayed' by me. I mean this just gave me the up-most confidence that not only was this job done carefully it was also done in the exact manner I wanted. The shop itself it clean and well taken care. It seems that the shop is fairly new so I am glad I able to write this review for them, especially after the fine job they did for more me. Prices are fair and definitely worth it. I just finished up a aggressive drive threw some canyon roads and my car sits and feels amazing. I now recommend this shop to buddies in the industry, thanks Herb and the Pit Stop team. Amazing owner and staff. Prices are more than reasonable. The great knowledge aside the great performance they do can't go unnoticed. Everything they do is super fast and efficient I can't thank you guys enough. I've been coming here for all of my cars for awhile now but I never had a chance to write a review but this time I made it priority to do it first thing in the AM :) sorry herb, you are amazing thank you for always taking care of me. read more

These are the guys you want to get in good with! Been continually using them for my car's regular maintenance rather than spending double the money at big car dealerships and waiting in long lines! Recommended friends and family and they all have the same treatment and outcome of feeling good about spending money on our cars! Its something we have to do and honestly these guys are alright! Thanks Pitstop! read more

Glad I met Herbert and he took care of my Challenger mod. Him and his staff know exactly what they're doing. Couldn't be happier!

Herb knows his stuff. Let me just say that I'm very picky about someone working on my car, sometimes too picky. I was referred to herb by a friend, kinda worried about his skills working on my E60 M5. I had to get a pulley kit installed. He took care of it like a pro. And since then I can say that his got a customer for life. Really nice guy and easy going. Doesn't try to up sell any services like some dealers do out there. Gives great advise about servicing and tuning my car. And watches out for my pocket too. His prices are amazing as far as working on my Bmw. I'd say about 50% less then taking in to a dealer. Just did my oil change today and I'd thought he I should post about him. Great guy, and big ups to Sam his M5 specialist. These guys are a great team and do amazing work. read more

Herb always knows exactly how to take care of my car to get it ready for the track. Very few mechanics you can trust with your life. Thanks to his masterful skills, my car has never failed me on the track. Thanks brother. read more

Herbert has always taken good care of my 2013 wrx hatchback. He's a very friendly and down to earth kind of guy. Takes his time to research the job before accepting it. You can't beat his price as well. First time I came here was to upgrade my suspension to RCE blacks with gtworx bilstein shocks, kartboy front/rear end links and eibach front and rear sway bars. He did his research on the parts I wanted to install before he accepted the job. He went above and beyond. Now my car handles the way it should from factory. I will be recommending his shop to all my friends. Thank you Herbert and to your crew at Pit Stop Motor Tuning! read more

Pit Stop came highly recommended to me by a friend who did some pretty extensive work on his '15 GTI. When I met Herbert (the owner) I knew I could trust him. I could tell he's thorough and a hard worker. He genuinely cares about his customers and the well being of their cars. Herbert replaced all four shocks and both the lower and upper control arms replaced on my '15 Q5. He did an excellent job at a very fair rate. With the new suspension and control arms, my Q5 is way sportier and fun to drive! Getting to his shop was a bit of a hike as I live in Santa Monica, but it was worth it. If you love your car and you're particular about who works on it, definitely check this place out. If I upgrade anything else on my Q5, I'll be going back to Herbert for sure. Thank you! read more

I own multiple German cars and I know and appreciate the way they Brake! I also have a very customized Jeep that has a very weak brakes and I thought that was normal for a Jeep.. till Hurbert got a hold of it. Couldn't be happier with my brakes! Stopping like an M4 now! (Almost) lol read more

I can't say enough about the expertise and customer service at Pit Stop Motor Tuning. I brought my car in for several installs from air intake/intercooler to suspension to fuel system upgrades. Several major obstetrical came up (all related to the parts, not Pit Stop) and Herbert went much farther out of his way than he had to in order to get everything installed correctly. He treated my car as if it was his own and took the time to point out several things to watch out for in the future and even cleaned up some poor workmanship done by someone else without charging me for his extra effort...he really just wants the car to be right. I highly recommend Pit Stop Motor Tuning for any service, repair or upgrade. read more

If you're around the area and are going to an another tuner shop other than Pit Stop Motor Tuning (or Need4Speed), you need to rethink your priorities. Thanks to Alex from Need4Speed, he recommended me to this small but clean shop. Luckily for me, they were able to fit me into their Saturday schedule right away even without an appointment. Things were looking good already. As soon as I entered the shop, three of his crew immediately jumped on my car like a pack of hungry wolves going after a sheep and started working to adjust my coilover height. Things then got interesting. One of his observant mechs noticed that the previous shop installed my springs backwards (yeah, WTF) and Herb later caught that the fronts were installed incorrectly. I couldn't believe it until they allowed me to see them at work firsthand under the lift. They needed certain pieces that go with the coilovers, which were left with the stock shocks in my garage so Herb decided to give me a lift. In his RS4. A missile on wheels. Let's just say it was quite an experience! After the short heart-pounding ride, Herb and his crew went right back to work with the necessary parts and made me feel right at home. All of them were huge car enthusiasts, highly knowledgeable and were curious about my car and mods. No longer did I have to hear the clueless mech who glances at your mods and says "Dude, is this an M3?!" (hint: mine isn't). After only an hour and some change, they adjusted and correctly installed my coilovers to my liking. They went above and beyond that day to get my car done with precision and expediency. The cost of the service? More than half the price of the other shops' estimates. I definitely found a new tuner shop for my BMW. I want to thank Herb, Sam, Patrick and their fourth man (never got his name as he had to leave early) for making my experience painless and extremely satisfying. Herb's philosophy is that he wants to treat his customers like how he wants to be treated and never judges you with the car you bring in. So he isn't going to charge you more just because you drive a Porsche vs. the guy with a Civic, though your parts are pricier because German tax (anyone that knows cars will know what I mean). Great customer service is next to impossible to find these days but they regained my hope in that there are small indy shops that you can trust with your car and your wallet like Pit Stop Motor Tuning. read more

Took my C7 vette to lower it a bit and service was awesome! Knowledge was on point. I recommend this place.

So my dad's friend referred us to Herb after my car's slave cylinder gave out so I gave him a call. Over the phone Herb provided me with a bunch of information that he didn't actually have to tell me and discussed the steps we should take to get the car running. The next day I dropped the car off at his shop. He gave me a call and told me that the parts are on the way and that my car has had a boost leak due to my aftermarket downpipe and catback exhaust, along with loose swaybars. Herb didn't have to check any of these parts, nor tell me but he went ahead and fixed it without even charging me. If that doesn't speak of Herb's and the shop's character then I don't know what does. The car drives way better now with all of the fixes and the slave cylinder, clutch, and flywheel changes. I would recommend this shop to anyone because he is an honest guy, car enthusiast, and has the best prices. Found my mechanic for all future car needs! read more
