Where can I begin to tell you what this company has meant to me over the past few years....8 years? I am a widow with a great little 2012 Mercedes and they take care of me like I was their mother. Today, I had a gas leak and they put two mechanics on it to get it fixed in a hurry and Jack even drove over to his supply man for parts. This Company headed by Jack gives me service that at a 5 STAR level or in sports would be not a ten but an 11. Where can I begin , I drive a 2003 S500 it was having horrific problems so a good friend of mines recommend me this place and my friend told me he only does work on Mercedes Benz ,which made even more trustful and comfortable.I Took my car he did diagnostics on the vehicle he also drove the drove the vehicle 10-12 mins later he's gives me a list of all the problems my car was having and what had to be done in order for my vehicle to be fixed I gave him the green light he began working on my vehicle and during the week he would call me and informing of the work he has done and now beginning on the other damaged parts,he calls me 4-5 days after my vehicle was in his shop and told me it's finished and ready to drive. ! I went to the shop to pick it up he told me everything he did on my car he told me it's 22 year old car but drives like brand new car ,I left the shop I drove it for a day and man was he right it felt like as if I just bought the car new from the Mercedes dealer!!I I will always bring Mercedes to him for future maintenance and also will recommend my friends and family to Jack very nice ,informative,respectful man !! Jack for me a used transmission and installed it.. it has never ran better. He does everything from an oil change/ tune up to full re-builds! The dealer was unresponsive, and the service rep I spoke to was honest and told me that a lot of the staff had been "let go" because of the COVID virus. The battery price he quoted was $495. (!!) I called Jack, and he said he would check to see if he could get my battery and call me right back. He called back in less than 5 minutes, told me to come right over, and within an hour I had the battery in my car...and this wonderful, prompt service cost me $240. (!!!). If you are looking for an honest repair shop that will not try to ROB you, I feel very confident in recommending Jack's. Had my Service A done at at Jack's Tri-Star Motors. Service was fast, location was convenient for me, and prices were reasonable. I brought it in on a Monday for the "Monday special." However, I was charged slightly more than the advertised amount. I wasn't in the mood to haggle over it, so paid the extra $10 and moved on with my day. Price charged was $145 plus tax, while the special was supposed to be $135. However, regular price at the dealer is about $180. I tried to make an appointment online, but never received a reply. I had to call to confirm. When I did go in, I don't think that they cross checked to my appointment, but luckily there were not any other customers waiting. It took about 2 hours and Jack called to let me know my car was ready. I appreciate the speedy service and as far as I can tell a job well done. I've been bringing in my 2007 S550 (W221) here for years (owned the car for 8 years now) and they have always done a great job diagnosing the issue and resolving it quickly. The last time I brought it in was for major suspension work and replacement of all control arms/bushings as well a replacement of the starter. The car now rides & handles like new and I probably plan to keep it for a very long time. I've also taken in my 2008 E63 (W211) here for some service as well and same high level of service. Ever since I bought my 1991 Mercedes Benz 560SEL back in February Jack's Tri Star Motors has been the first to do any work on my car. I got new engine/transmission mounts All fuel injectors/seals/air vacuum hoses replaced Majority of the hoses were replaced (25 years later they sure turn into hard plastic) Valve adjustment New timing chain rail Spark plugs New Rotor and distributer cap New EHA valve Transmission service (oil, gasket, filter, and cooling hoses) New idle valve control Power steering gearbox adjustment And so much more... So much that i can say the car is almost 80% new :) ***FYI All these parts are genuine MB parts*** The best thing about this place is that they take the time to explain why certain things on the car need to be changed. Just picked up a 07' s550. It is the first year they were in production and it is now 11 years old. I brought it here first thing when I got it and received a full tune up and old parts replaced. (144k original miles). Runs and looks brand new now! Had all my belts, spark plugs, and other parts swapped. I would recommend getting a checkup or quote here before spending your money anywhere else. I got a quote somewhere else before coming for a tune up and was quoted $700 more then Jack and in total it was $1600 less than the dealer! (ridiculous markups). I will forever drive Mercedes and bring all my cars to Jack! All in all I wouldn't hesitate trusting this place With the work they do. I been fortunate enough to own Mercedes cars for quite some time and as you know, your car represents a considerable investment, and you don't want to entrust its care to just anyone. That's why it's important to find the right auto mechanic for your vehicle service and repair needs. I tried all sorts of mechanics throughout the years and the good ones I've got to know have since retired or moved their shop elsewhere and too far for me to see them. Finally, about 4 years ago I came across Jack's Tri-Star Motors and decided to give it a try. As most of us know, going to see a mechanic draws many cautions and conclusions about whether the mechanic will be trustworthy, pricing the job fairly and most importantly is able to fix your car the first time. On my first visit all I did was to have him do an oil change just to see how he/shop operates. My first impression was very good as he did the job quickly and the price was right. Since it was my first time there, he looked the car over bumper-to-bumper and basically said that all was fine with the car and off I went. Jack is very good at communicating what your car needs, when it will need it and why it will be necessary. So, I was quite happy with my first experience and the price was right. The following year I went in for a tune-up and brake service. While he didn't remember me, I received the same welcoming treatment that I experienced with my first visit. Again, I was impressed with the service I received, and the price was right. To sum this up, Jack's shop has all the tools/diagnosis equipment required to properly repair and maintain your Mercedes. He won't BS you and tell you your car needs work on something unless it really needs it, and he will check over the car for you to make sure everything is to his standards before you leave his shop. The shop is clean and organized, has a decent waiting room where you can relax, have a cup of coffee and watch some TV. He will always give you the best and reasonable price to service your car. I really appreciate his honesty and integrity to make sure you are a happy customer. I know, I know... You're all thinking that I'm just sitting behind my computer and giving away 5-Stars today... WRONG! Let me tell you why Jack and the guys at Tri-star are getting a 5-star today. 4pm Thursday, my car breaks down in Burbank and I'm left sitting in my C240 with my wife wondering what we're going to do in the searing heat. The mechanic who has serviced my car for the last 5 years in on vacation, my other mechanic that is my back up, is also on vacation so I call Jack. Thankfully, Jack as a few more days until he goes on vacation. I guess August is the month that Mercedes mechanics go on vacation!!! AAA tows my car to Jack and he takes care of everything. He immediately found the problem and called a rental car company for me. It was all downhill from there. Hertz set me up with a nice Cadillac DTS so I was rolling in style while my 240 was getting fixed. I called Jack to check in with him the next day and he assured me that all was well. It was. He hooked me up with OEM parts for my Benz, I don't use aftermarket or refurb parts on my car. I'm not going to give you the price for the fix because every car is different but Jack hooked it up because I called my mechanic. He told me that it was an outstanding price and that I saved big time on the fix. In summary, I recommend Jack to all Mercedes owners especially if you live in the Glendale and Burbank area. I hate cars. Wait... to clarify -- I hate FIXING cars. So when my new c300 started badgering me about service a needed I ignored it. Turned up the radio. Looked the other way. But alas... when the low tire pressure light came on as well to taunt me with its erie red glow, the guilt caught up to me and I called the dealer... $350 for a regular maintenance!?!?!? No sireeeeee!!!! So I called around to other auto shops near my office... and I found Jack. Jack quoted me a full $60 cheaper than anyone I had talked to.... so I made the appointment (fully expecting to be hassled out of some more money when I got there, but at least we were starting low!) So I show up on time, he takes my car immediately... and an hour later on the dot hes done... AND HE GAVE ME A 10% discount!! Even cheaper than he said. Unreal! As I drove away I realized my low tire pressure light came back on in my car... so I turned around to go back and make sure he had filled up the tires. A quick check confirmed I had a nail in one -- which he quickly repaired -- FREE OF CHARGE. Suffices to say that Jack is my new mechanic. He is a honest guy, doing good, fast repair and hes certainly 5 stars in my book!! read more

I got sold a lemon. 1993 300E. So my radiator wasn't working and I was heading to Jack's Tri-Star motors and then what do you know - my head gasket blew up on the way there. I got a valve job done (which is pretty much a top end engine rebuild) at Jack's Tri-Star with Tony also working on my car. Not only that, but they fixed my air conditioning too. Amazing service. A little discount was thrown into the bill also. Still pricey since the job was more extreme than others, but hey, it's like I'm driving a brand new car now. I'll get my car serviced here from now on. As a matter of fact, I would buy another Mercedes because Jack's makes the cost of ownership that much more alleviating. Thanks Jack, Harry, and Tony for taking in my w124 and giving it a 180 degree spin under the hood. If you're looking for customer service apart from the repairs and great prices, I'll tell you right now - these guys are great at it. They'll let you know everything that happened in the shop or with your car if you're interested. On top of that, they've got a AC waiting room, and when I was there, Jack offered some awesome tasting desert, and a free air freshener that smelled like a Burberry perfume. I recommend this place to all Mercedes-Benz owners around the area. This place does have a lot of cars and some of the cars he has to fix are parked outside of the facility. That's just how good this place is; so many people come to Tri-Star motors! Did I mention, I got a carwash when I got my car back? Jack just fixed the alternator on my 1979 Mercedes 300TD and did an excellent job. He was able to find a used alternator for a very reasonable price and get the job done. He was polite, fast, and to the point. He is fixing my radiator next week for a lot less than the other Mercedes garages in town. I appreciate his service because not too many guys out there know how to work on vintage cars. Since there is not too much civilization in the industrial corridor where the shop is located Jack even offered to lend me a bike to go on a ride while he fixed my car. Yelp, I owe you one. Jack is the real deal and deserves every rave review he's been earning. From here on out he'll be my go-to guy to service our family Benz. Our family hauler is an out of warranty ML and it had a suspension noise that was getting progressively louder. I had it checked out by a technician somewhere else who is an excellent mechanic but not a Mercedes expert and he wasn't able to diagnose it right away and suspected some pricey parts may be at fault. I decided I'd search for a local Mercedes expert to look the car over and Jack's listing on yelp stood out, sitting high atop of a mountain of 5 star reviews. Minutes after taking a quick drive around the block Jack diagnosed the problem as an inexpensive sway bar link, noting that it was a common weak point of MLs. He set me up for an appointment and took care of it during my lunch break. The entire repair cost less than a dealership oil change. Seriously. Wow. The drive home was quieter than a mausoleum. I also took a chance after seeing raving yelp review. After all, my warranty expired already, and I don't have to take the car to the dealer any more. The place looked a little dated, with lots of cars in the lot. My car is a E350. Jack took my car, told me it will take about an hour to do. So instead of waiting 2-3 hours at the dealer, I only waited an hour while watching tv in the waiting room. So.. the bill came and it was about half of what the dealer charges me. As a bonus, he also found a defect headlight, and replaced the bulb for free as a courtesy. (I believe a dealer will charge me at least $70 for this service) Instead of many repair shops trying to find all the things wrong on the car, he just did what is necessary to get the job done. Very nice touch the whole experience.. Now to think of it, my dad also have an old mercedes sitting in the garage, maybe I should get it fixed by them too. read more

Hello Yelpers! I drove down from Northern CA to LA last night knowing that I needed an oil change and a belt repair! I found Jack on Yelp and decided to go for it. I'm a new Mercedes owner and there is always a little anxiety involved when you need your car serviced. Up north, Mercedes mechanics are AWFUL. Mechanics in general up there are taking advantage of people and destroying their spirits in the process. Jack was none of that!
