I was recommended to take my car here by a friend. I called, talked to Herbert, texted some details and we scheduled for time and date to drop off the car. He called me when it was ready with all the details and good news that everything went smoothly. No joke i took a small list of questions to ask and he answered every single one. Super nice guy, very informative, the guy really knows his stuff. I feel like he charged a very fair price considering the work that needed to be done. The quality of the work was excellent. I would highly recommend and i will personally be back again in the future. read more

* The Real Deal * I called several mechanics after my crash, but Pit Stop quickly earned my confidence. Even though they were 40 minutes out of the way, I chose them and I'm so glad I did! I needed an assessment of the issues and overall safety. Both Sam and Herbert gave me clear and thoughtful explanations of what actually needed attention and what didn't, which put everything into perspective and made the situation far less overwhelming. In doing so, they saved me from unnecessary costs and worry. Even though my car isn't a luxury vehicle, they gave me outstanding service and made me feel completely taken care of. They're the kind of professionals you're so grateful to find. I left feeling totally confident in my car and the work they did, and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I can't recommend any shop more than PSMT. The team installed ECS Diff-bushings along with the turner diff-plate. If you have read on forums or even experienced some cars that have had these installed wrong will tend to have a grinding or even really loud clunking noise. None of that with them! The car drives so much better and has a very very subtle noise when engaging D, N,R and no weird grinding or suspicious sounds at all. I am more than happy with everything and know the work was done perfectly. Also compared to a lot of shops their price for such a tedious job was amazing and done same day within a couple hours. read more

Beyond an amazing establishment. I've been coming to Herbert ever since I took possession of my BMW M5 back in 2013 and have recently maintained both my current BMW and Toyota. Herbert and Sam are truly well respected, humble, extremely knowledgable. They treat all of their clients with a great amount of respect and do NOT nickel and dime you like many other mechanic shops in the area. Whether it's a Toyota or a high-end foreign exotic trust your vehicle in the hands of Herbert because even dealership service centers lie to client's faces about the work they falsely perform and squeeze more unnecessary money out of the client. Thank you for the warm hospitality brother! God Bless! read more

Herbert was great! From the minute I called to schedule an oil change he greeted me as friendly can be and accommodated my work schedule even with his busy schedule. I brought my truck in for an oil change and he even cleaned the engine for me. Herbert is no salesmen but a professional and takes pride in his business and mechanics. I was in and out with a satisfaction guaranteed. I was/am always skeptical about mechanics as there's always an upsell not with Herbert! Thanks Herbert. read more

4 years later, here we are again. Still 5 stars, still the same great service, and still the same great people. Cars came and went, lifestyles changed, but it's still all about the one and only true mechanic shop in town. PSMT is a shining example of how a business should be operated, and how customers should be treated. After 4 years, and nearly regular weekly visits to PSMT, it's safe to say they conquered and kept a loyal client. Today, they service, recondition, and upgrade not only my cars but some of my closest friends and family, along with my own clients and coworkers. As of today, PSMT has built, maintained, and basically created my dedicated track toy, as well as a new project we're currently reconditioning before further upgrades. Not to mention, all scheduled services and wear items on our other car are exclusively reserved for Pit Stop. A lot of businesses should take example from Herbert and PSMT. read more

5 star all the way! I got a. Oil change on a Saturday morning, pulled up to 90's rap playing in the background, few workers were busy on cars, I was approached immediately and assisted. My Lexi went up on the stand in less than 10 min. I love old school mechanic shops, where the employees are having fun and the owner is one of the guys. You can tell when they love what they do. 6 years later and still one of the only euro mechanics I trust in the greater Los Angeles area. Herbert and Sam have seen almost all of my cars and have only delivered top quality service at fair prices every single visit. Please don't bother going to a dealership, talk with a team of people who are actually putting on the gloves and working on your car (while working in motorsport teams on the weekend). Talk with Pit Stop Motor Tuning for you needs. I would have no problem bringing them a golf to a gullwing and everything in between without hesitation. read more

So happy I was referred here! Herbert is the man! The guy is so friendly and is a master at what he does. I needed a four wheel alignment for my BMW and he took care of it. What I liked is that he talks to you and explains what's best for your car. He educates you. I really appreciated the patience he had and his friendliness. I've had a tough time finding a place I trust with my MK7 VW GTI. I know quite a bit about cars but am new to working on them so there are certain things I leave to the professionals. I recently bought a front brake kit, slotted rotors, and a coilover set and took it to a shop that shall remain nameless that was recommended by a friend and supposed to be some big fancy german aftermarket mod shop. Long story short they left air in my brake lines and shoddily installed my suspension was loose. Two places I went to refused to even inspect the suspension because "they didn't install it" Enter Herbert, Sam and Pit Stop Motor Tuning. I called up the shop and first spoke to Sam. He listen to my concerns and from the get go was happy to at least inspect, see if it's an easy fix, or worst case scenario reinstall the whole set. He quickly realized I knew what I was talking about with cars and spoke on my level and not down to me as most places do. My confidence in this shop increased even more when I dropped my GTI off and met Herbert. He knows his stuff in a big way, and has VW love which I respect :D. I knew my car was in good hands. They have an OCD eye for perfection and inspire tons of confidence. I got a call a few hours later with a full report on the crap job the first shop had done, what they will do to fix it, and a time estimate. Picked up my car with a ride better than when I drove it off the lot the first time. They have earned a customer for life. Way to be guys, you do a great job and deserve all the credit yelp is giving you. See you soon for my next mod read more

I have been an avid car enthusiast for years and have built quite a few project cars over those years, I heard about Pit Stop through a few recommendations and have honestly not gone anywhere since. If you understand how difficult it is to find a quality shop you can rest assured that Herbert at Pit Stop will be meticulous on his work. I had my high performance KW Suspension installed here and the install was extremely precise, the best part is he even made sure that everything Sounded right on the road after the install. The shop is very organized and his prices are very fair. I have a few more installs coming up in the near future for my current project 1M and I'll make sure to update the review. read more

I have been meaning to update my review as I'm now a long time steady customer... BMWs tend to need a lot of TLC. The team at PSMT is always willing and able to help me keep my cars in tip top shape. We even went through a full engine replacement a few years ago. They took the time to get educated on proper factory procedures and they use the best possible tools. I personally prefer factory OEM parts and they are pleased to oblige. Pricing is always fair for the level of professionalism offered. Needless to say I highly recommended you take your car in for any service or repairs needed. read more

I brought my "rescued from Detroit" 2016 ST in for installation of FSWERKS intercooler, stress bars, short shift kit and RACESENG tow kit, and Herbert did an AMAZING job. Meticulous, honest and a super nice guy, who stuck with his amazingly reasonable price quote even though the amount of labor hours forecasted ending up being a bit more. Additionally, he fixed some things which he didn't even charge me for. 100%! Thank you, PIT STOP! You'll the only shop I'll be taking the ST to in the future. read more

Herb and his team are not only highly skilled in the arena of complicated high-performance late-model cars, but with basic hybrids, A-to-B daily drivers and everything in between. I've taken my 2008 Corvette Z06 and 2014 Mustang GT to him and he's always proven to be nothing but upfront, friendly, extremely fair and communicative. Their work is top-notch and fast (not fast like cutting corners fast, but as in all-hands-on-deck no dilly-dally fast), and as a gearhead and enthusiast himself, is an extremely honest mechanic. You won't find price-gouging or shameful up-sells here (ahem, stealerships and Jiffy Lube). The only place I'll ever take my cars for maintenance, mods or tuning. Highly recommended. read more

Favorite shop I've ever taken my car to. 2008 BMW 135i. Herbert really knows his stuff and the customer and quality of service is top notch. Amazing team that knows what they're doing! Pit Stop Motor Tuning is hands down the best automotive shop I've ever worked with on a car build. Herbert, Sam, Avo, and the entire crew are honest, knowledgeable, and treat everyone with the utmost respect. It's truly rare to feel taken care of as I have when leaving my car with them. Their technical problem solving ability to diagnose, predict, and have the foresight on their project are the best I've seen. Herbert takes his time, and looks over every nut and bolt to see if there are any issues that are arising with your vehicles. They diagnosed a very serious issue with my vehicle that it took almost 3 others shops that specialize in VW/Audi to even see. Pit Stop knows how to build extremely specialized high horsepower cars with true expertise and precision. I really get thrilled to collaborate with Herbert about upcoming mods, and talk strategy about how to attack my builds. Really excited to work with them again. PSMT deserves way more than 5 stars, they are truly the best! read more

This review is long overdue I've been coming to Herbert for at least 4 years he has always taken care of my cars at any given time I have stop by. He is honest and straightforward. What I like about his work ethic is that he always takes his time with each and every vehicle he has. Never takes you for a ride (selling)and is always honest and upfront with you. He will not try to up sell you during a project that he is on. He is very experienced all the way from a regular car up to a high performance car, Trust me anything you need give these guys a chance they will definitely take care of you properly and professionally thanks again Herbert and your entire staff there for your amazing work in a row let me down Thanks brother read more

Got my oil changed here today and these guys were so sweet! They had some of the most competitive prices around Burbank. They took time to do an inspection, topped off the fluids, checked my tires (because my light was on) and let me know one of my filters needed replacing. After being surprised I needed a new filter (because my dealership "replaced" them recently) - the gentleman took the time to show me the filters and which one needed replacing. One of them (the filter the dealership "changed" when I mentioned my air-conditioning smelled rather musty) looked like it had NEVER been changed. Uuugghhh *Shakes fists at the heavens*. It's only my first time here but they seem so honest and willing to teach-- to show you what's going on. Furthermore, they let you decide what you want to do without pressuring you. I'm used to dealerships (like Toyota of Santa Monica) and I don't think I'll be returning to them anytime soon. Pit Stop Motor Tuning was just lovely!!! read more

I don't give to many 5 star ratings but a good auto shop is not always easy to come by.
