I took my car for a regular oil change and was told I needed new shocks and all new tires. I had a feeling I was getting taken advantage of so I went for a 2nd opinion. Enter Herbert. He was straight up with me; reiterated the need for new shocks but did the repair for a way better price. He also said that I, in fact, didn't even need new tires (saving me $$$) and just rotated them for me. Did all the repairs same day. I'll be taking any future car needs to him from now on. read more

I was browsing on yelp to locate a a store to install my Barton short throw shifter. I came across this location and decided to call them to receive a quote. Once I received the quote from Herbert, I asked if he had time the next day. He informed me that he was busy that day but that he would be able to fit me in the middle of his busy schedule. I was very happy that he would be able to do that for me. Next day, I arrived to the location and was greeted by Herbert. Pit Stop rocks! Made an appt and took my RS4 in for a much needed oil change -- damm these cars are thirsty! Thought it was cool that Herb also has an RS4... so he knows the car like the back of his hand. I'm always a little uneasy taking my baby somewhere new, but Herb made me feel 100% comfortable working on my car. Since the car was up on the lift, he also did a full body check up and tightened some loose nuts and bolts etc.. Herb, thanks very much for you help. You are fantastic. Have a 2013 BMW M5. Herb was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, professional and meticulous in overcoming all the issues in installing the KW V3 coilovers and Dinan swaybars for me. First, the KW distributor sent me the wrong part and he was very patient in explaining and helping me what I could do in the meantime. It turned out to be a non-issue that Herb helped me to overcome it in no time. Second, the tire shop that installed my aftermarket wheels tightened one of the wheel locks so tight that it could not be removed when Herb tried to take it off to install the coilover. Herb took so much time and was so meticulous that he finally took it off without damaging my wheel. I was certain that, for any other shops, they would have either given up or damaged my wheel already. Overall, Herb and his team was incredibly professional and patient. Bottom line - Herbert is the man -and his place is the place for cars in need... After 2yrs and over 8K+ sunk working with local shops, too dealer on AHC issues in a 2006 Landcruiser - with no guarantees on solutions and no end in money drains - we wanted the Automatic Height Control system DELETED. Re-configuring the suspension system did the trick -and this place did it all. Now we ride in peace -and once again loving our Land cruiser. Pros: -Herbert (the owner) was easy to talk to, friendly, knowledgable, professional, cares about his customers. -installed my 20" wheels on stretched tires like a pro with no scratches -needed more clearance on the rear, so Herbert shaved the rear bumper bracket SUPER CLEAN AND FLUSH without touching the bolt. I called to get a comparison quote after Toyota Glendale quoted me $575 for a water pump replacement. Herbert said he worked there years ago and is used to their inflated prices. He charged me $260 tax included. He then took time out of his busy day to explain the issue, show how it was solved and offered advice on how to take better care of my car to avoid having to take it to shop! Goodbye Glendale Toyota! If there was a 6 star rating, this shop deserves it. I am leaving for a road trip tomorrow. I know nothing about cars and I am a failure at scheduled service other than my oil changes. I brought my yaris in, and Herbert is pretty much my guardian angel. He is extremely knowledgeable with Toyotas and he was so nice and explained everything. A good friend recommended him and now I know why. I knew that I would need new tires, and oil change and a belt changed out, he spotted all that and a few other fixes. The price was so incredibly fair and he broke everything down. He didn't pressure me into anything, and was way honest about what would be best for my safety on a road trip across 4 states!!! Not only will I be back, I will be recommending him to all my friends. It is such a huge comfort to trust your mechanic, especially when you are like me and you don't know and engine from a hubcap. :P There is a starbuck less than 6 min walk away too, so you can get your wifi and coffee on while you wait!! I've only had one experience with this place regarding the install of a front splitter for my 2011 Camaro. and it was good. i can't speak for any other type of work. but at least when i brought in the front splitter i ordered for Herbert to look at. he was able to look at it right on the spot, and gave me a quote within 10 mins. His estimate on the work that needed to be performed demonstrated that he was knowledgeable with the install. (the manufacturer shipped me a track version of splitter that used Bolts, instead of push-in rivets that are typically used for the street version). Herbert pointed it out to me in-person right on the spot. He was able to give me an estimate right there based on the time it would take do install. i would say it was a fair estimate, not great, but not a rip-off either. But what i admire is the fact that Herbert, the owner didn't mind getting his own hands dirty and did the work together with his mech to try and get the car out the door soon as they could. the only thing i could complain about is the lack of client lounge. but i understand that it's a small business that a passionate guy just started. i could tell from my interaction with Herbert that he truely has passion for what he does and doesn't mind getting his own hands dirty. a real grease monkey if you ask me. i would like to see more small businesses like this place in the area. and only based on my one single experience, i would recommend this place, and will be taking my car back for future work. :) read more

A few years ago he installed a coilover kit on my audi that I was excited about, and the initial 1"-1.5" drop was fine but he knew I wanted as minimal a drop as allowed per the coilover instructions.
