This is my favorite place to go in the neighborhood. The food is shockingly good . The baristas are friendly and engaging. My favorite part is that PIP allows you to drink out of the pottery they make on site. This is so important for supporting their coffee/clay artistry as well as reducing plastic waste! My go to drink here is the espresso tonic - you got to try it if you want something simple and bubbly. read more

I finally healed from my broken ankle and this is my new spot! I've studied here three times and each time I was able to concentrate on my homework. My favorite drink is the Snickerdoodle Mocha with an extra shot of espresso with oatmilk. The drink is tasty, creamy and gets you fueled for the day! I love the vibes here and all the cute items you can purchase! They also host pottery classes which I will be attending soon! read more

What do you get when you powder your balls and the sweaty Arizona heat combined? You get clay, come and play with clay while eating food and drinking coffee. The ambience has a ghost vibe to it with the upbeat energy from coffee beans. I would recommend the beginner class to even an experienced spinner. Food was good, service was a bit stiff but I would return. read more

My favorite go to coffee shop. You want coffee, they got you. You want a fun drink, they got you. You want fun and custom coffee mugs/containers, they got you. You want to throw some clay, they got you. All around great staff and very friendly. read more

I first came to PIP for the coffee, and started throwing with a beginner class in June. I now come in quite often. Everyone on staff is kind, helpful, and welcoming. The baristas are amazing and know how I like my coffee, which makes me feel at home here. So far, I've tried every sandwich except for the grilled cheese, and The Hot Pants is 10/10 crave-worthy. When I'm at PIP, I feel like I'm part of a larger community, and I had no idea how much I needed some clay in my life. read more

We were gifted a gift card to a class and we choose beginning wheel throwing. It was so fun and the instructor was extremely helpful! Taught us from the very basics, which we needed. There is ample time to practice (and mess up a lot). We even got some fun pieces out of it! Great date idea. Would be super fun for a birthday party or a group of friends as well! read more

This spot is such a gem. Their coffee is so delicious and well made. Probably some of the best coffee I've found in the greater Phoenix area! They have an adorable section where they sell hand made items from local artists - everything is well priced too. Everyone I've interacted with, including other customers, are very warm and welcoming. I've also taken a beginners throwing class and it was a blast. The instructors are very patient, kind and non-judgmental. I plan on taking additional throwing classes and hope to spend more time here! read more

I took a beginner wheel throwing course and absolutely loved it. They walk you through all of the steps and then provide assistance as necessary! Love the coffee shop in the room over and they have hand building classes too! read more

Almost never any parking, out of the handful of times I've gone I've only been able to park and go inside once - the chai was decent.

I HAD SUCH an amazing experience here. My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new for a date night so we saw this online. We ordered a coffee (they had beer, tea, wine, etc) but our teachers were Brad and Patima. They both were so knowledgeable and attentive! I've never had an experience like this and cannot wait to come back with some friends to do it again! Best time for a first date too- something to take the pressure off and get to know someone casually! LOVE THIS SO MUCH! read more

Had such a fun time taking a pottery class here! Great instructor and beginner friendly. Would go again.

So excited to have this place open up in our neighborhood- it's been challenging to step away from some of our PHX favorite coffee spots, but after our trip today, we'll return very soon! The setup is awesome - small shop with some local goods, a great seating area, and a small counter set up to serve coffee and beers/wine from around the Phoenix metro area. We went with the Cortado and seasonal cinnamon maple cold brew - both were amazing! They have a full coffee menu filled with espresso, drip, and cold brew options (yes! They also have espresso tonic) If you're in the Biltmore or Downtown area, I highly recommend stopping by PIP read more

Amazing Coffee with great service. You've gotta try the food, highly slept on. Great place to spend your local dollars!!!

My family took the beginner class and while it was fun, it wasn't maybe worth the money. All our pieces we got back were glazed terribly it looked like a kindergartener did it, with multiple of the pieces glazed the wrong color when we picked it up. The instructor wasn't great either, but it was a fun experience overall. Wouldn't do it again but the drinks they have in the coffee place are good. read more

I've ordered almost everything from the menu here, and they're all really yummy! I like the matcha the most, and I always order when they have ube on the menu or in a dessert. The staff and customers are all very diverse and nice. I've experienced some uncomfortable environments at other pottery studios in AZ, but only good vibes here. Would give 10 stars if I could. read more

Absolutely fabulous! This coffee shop was the perfect stop while we waited to fly home. They were so accommodating and their food was phenomenal. They have an entire studio for pottery and I was blown away. Their Nashville hot coffee was out of this world. The staff was so kind, I will never forget how sweet they were to us. I would come back every weekend but I sadly don't live there! read more

A fun little coffee shop in uptown area. Me and my furnace went for a beginners pottery class and what a dope experience !once entering you can see various pottery and painting pieces around so you know you're definitely in the right place. I tried a roasted camp fire coffee definitely a 10/10. The flavor was on point, not too sweet, just how I like it. You walk through the small door thinking it's leading you to the bathroom but instead there is a whole pottery station back there-- very impressive. The instructor was great, very patient with all of us (especially myself). She went through a quick tutorial of how you want to start, mold and finish and then allowed us to try for ourselves. She was very attentive and walked around the room as needed, she jumped in if our project was falling apart or if we needed guidance. At the end, we chose two and put them aside for pick up at a later date. Definitely a very fun, hands on friend outing... would recommend everyone try it at least once! read more

Wheel throwing classes are so fun. Instructor is really talented and helpful. Everyone there is so nice. Can't wait for another class!

Not a great first experience which really bummed me out because I've been dying to stop by and get a drink/take a class. I did not take a class this visit. I stopped by because they were having a little market going on in the parking lot. The person taking my order was completely uninterested in doing just that. I asked what flavors they had for an Italian soda, they pointed at a jumble of syrup bottles and said "pretty much anything." Peach? No. Raspberry? No. Uhhhh okay. So instead of playing the weird little game I just order a hot chai. The flavor was nice but it was barely luke warm. Honestly I would have just given a single star but I love the concept and want to come back for a second chance. read more

You pay for a beginner's class while in town with family and the instructor gives no help to those whom struggle. Only gives extra attention to those who are extremely experienced. Complete waste of money and the coffee barista barely mumbles 2 words. Made to feel like a failure. Wasn't worth the time and came away with absolutely no creations. read more

This place is a gem! What a cool creative concept. Fantastic coffee made by funky and friendly baristas. Cute little shop w unique gifts. Great creative pottery space with approachable, knowledgeable teachers. I believe they also keep a small collection of natural wines, which I'm looking forward to trying next time I pop by in the evening! Pip pip hooray. read more

PIP is just what this neighborhood needed! Not only do they offer great coffee and specialty beverages, but they've quickly built a community. They offer unique and special items from some of the best and coolest local artists and makers, and of course really great handmade ceramics. Their ceramic studio is AWESOME! They have multiple levels of classes to learn to throw on a potters wheel. I highly recommend you take a class with one of their fabulous instructors (like the amazing Bettina) and take advantage of their evening drink specials! So much fun and a great, affordable way to learn. They also offer unique classes every week on various cool crafting experiences. Can't recommend them enough! read more

First time I went in January, the teacher for the class was great. He gave an in-depth overview and was incredibly helpful; he walked around the class the entire time stopping by each person to give them tips on how to better their techniques and pieces. The second time I went, which was last week, we got very little instruction and I didn't receive the help I needed to make anything worth taking home. I asked for tips a few times, but wasn't met with any helpful instruction so I stopped asking. The teacher then threw his own piece instead of assisting us in the class. I was really disappointed in my experience because it costs $50 per class so I don't think I'll be going back. read more

I love this place!! I've taken three classes here and all have been great, I'm not particularly skilled with ceramics or wheel throwing and the instructors are always awesome. The vibe at Pip is immaculate: cozy, artistic, LGBTQ-friendly, and they sell crafts by local artists. It's a great spot to have coffee while you work, read, or hang out with friends in Phoenix. I recommend their seasonal matcha. I was skeptical about the rose, but the staff convinced me to try it and I was so glad I did. read more
