My husband and I received a gift card for a beginner session here. What a fun time! The instructor was really helpful and sweet. The class had about 10 people and we each had our own space to work in. There is a coffee bar when you come in so you can grab a beverage before class starts. Don't wear anything you don't want to get dirty and don't be afraid to fail a time or two. There is plenty of time to throw multiple piece while there. You get to choose your favorite pieces at the end of class. Can't wait to pick them up in about 3 weeks!!

This place had a nice calming vibe. Everyone was chill even the other guests who attended. There are Cute little trinkets, and fun stickers to purchase. They also serve some healthy treats, cookies, and drinks. I tried a drink called the first date, (love the name). This drink was refreshing and bubbly. A simple mix of cold matcha tea and lemonade splashes. Now, I have to brag about the poetry classes they offer here. We took the class that Henry teaches. Henry did a great job explaining how to create our clay designs today. Thank you Henry, for making the class run so smoothly. Even when I almost messed up my clay, Henry was patient and helpful with all of us. Thanks again Henry

Very charming and eclectic coffee shop. Also, amazing rose pistachio chai! It was perfect. They also teach classes, mainly pottery. Might have to take a class. Who doesn't like pottery? Excellent service.

Such a charming spot! Lovely staff and service. I got their dark macadamia latte and it is by far one of the best lattes I've ever had in the Phoenix area. I would recommend this spot to anyone and everyone !!

I had so much fun taking a class at PIP! My instructor did a great job walking us all through the steps of centering, opening, and shaping. She also offered to center for us or talk us through it which I thought was great. I've taken a wheel throwing class before where I kept getting frustrated at my lack of ability to center so her offering to center for us was much appreciated. I liked the workshop feel of the class after the open instruction, we were free to play around with the clay and start over if we messed up. Last, we picked 2 pieces to keep and chose our glaze colors. I can't wait to see how my pieces turn out! I hope to come back for another class in the future.

People were kind. I was able to get a coffee while I took the ceramics class. It was so fun. And the teachers were patient a with the beginners. You get dirty- so come prepared Highly recommend.

One of the most fun activities I've done in Phoenix! The studio is super cute and artsy and smells like amazing coffee. I took the beginners class with the wheel throwing machine or whatever it's called. The process, studio, and tools etc were all super organized. The instructor explained how to do it for about a half an hour, then we got to create pottery from straight up clay on our own! There are 3 glaze colors to choose from: brown, black and white. Wear pants and shoes you don't mind getting wet clay all over when it flings out of the wheel! It came off in the washing machine tho :)

I drive by this coffee shop almost daily on my way to work. I finally decided to stop and get some coffee. The shop is really cute. It has a few items for sale like aprons, candies, mugs. They also have pastries and a few breakfast options. The young lady was very friendly and cheerful. I ordered the bumblebee latte which I enjoyed. I definitely will be returning to try the rose pistachio latte. If you want some good coffee you should try Pip.

This is my second time visiting @pipcoffeeclay in Phoenix. I brought a group with me and this is their first time experiencing this ultra-friendly and down-to-earth café and clay throwing and sculpting studio, that also serves cocktails, bagels, burritos and more. The food is high-quality with a lot of house made items in the café at the front of the establishment. There are also clay items for purchase, as well as some other fun gifts to shop through. At the back of the building, there is a clay studio with large windows to let the sunlight in and an upstairs area for clay sculpting that also brings in a lot of natural light. We decided to come in and take the Beginners Wheel Throwing class for only $55 each. This includes 10 balls of clay, two creations of your choosing to be fired and glazed, and an instructor taking you through the steps and walking around helping you if you need additional support. All equipment, wheels and tools are included. The class lasts for two hours of clay throwing and the last half hour is cleanup and choosing your glaze. This gives you a total of 2 1/2 hours. I think this is a bargain for the class that they are offering. My crew and I were celebrating our girls' birthday and enjoyed some lattes and bagels before and after our wheel throwing class with Elena, who is an excellent and patient instructor. She said our entire group was extremely chill because nobody was yelling or cussing as our creations got demolished on our wheel - Haha Namaste Clay Ommmm We get to pick up our creations in three weeks after they have been fired and glazed twice. I chose a yellow glaze for my two bowls. My girls, guest and hubs chose black, clear, and yellow. There was also a pink glaze available on this day. I will post how they turned out when we pick them up! You just come into the café and give them your name or go back and pick up your pieces and they're ready. We'd like to try the clay sculpting classes next. The instructor said this is very different from wheel throwing and you do not need to have any experience for this as well.

This place is super cute and fun. My friend and I decided to sign up for one of their ceramics class and we both enjoyed it. Booking online was easy and fast. The day of the class finally came and we arrived right when it was about to start. It was a full class and there were about 14 or so of us? All the seats and wheels were taken. The instructor was very friendly and helpful. Me and ceramics have never gotten along and for some reason I can't comprehend how I am supposed to make something out of wet clay and this spinning wheel... nonetheless I was struggling. I asked for help and she quickly came over and got me back on track without making me feel dumb. She showed me how to and I was finally able to make a bowl. We picked up our pieces about a month after our class date and I was very happy on how they turned out. The colors that I chose are sooooo pretty! Pickup day, we bought ourselves some coffee and they were really good. Service was great. Parking can be a struggle so we parked at the building in front and walked a little. You get to keep two pieces from your session! Can't wait to book another class soon!

We came by for coffee before heading to the airport. My wife got an Urmami bagel and a Calico latte. She said both were some of the best she's had! If we are back in phoenix in the future we'll be sure to stop by again.

Came here for a beginner wheel class for my friends birthday weekend, the few of us had a great time. The instructors are very nice and made the class fun! We got coffee before the class and the iced latte with vanilla syrup with oat milk was some of the best coffee I've gotten in a while! When the staff heard we were celebrating our friends birthday they offered us a free treat, very thoughtful. Very chill relaxing space in the front, with walls covered in local small business art.

I had such a great experience in the beginners wheel class I took. It was much harder than I expected but the instructor was a great support during the class. The class time does give you adequate time to get used to the wheel and to make your pieces. You're also able to bring in your food or drinks you've purchased at the front into the studio. Overall it was such a fun time and I'm planning to come back for some more practice!

I had never heard of the Phoenix Glass Center before, but thought it would be fun to make a stained glass sun catcher. Make sure you have your GPS activated because it's a bit tricky to find their location. It's hidden in an industrial area right next to the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport runway. We made sure to get to class early, as they had requested in their email. They have a shop with beautiful glass items for sale. They provide bottled water for students as well. Our class was in a second newer building just across the parking lot. Our instructor was Sarah. She was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and extremely patient with novice glass artists like myself. The class was set for three hours but it was a long process with many steps, so the class ran over. I didn't mind. I was happy not to be rushed through the process. All in all, it was a really fun evening! They are offering an upcoming stained glass class where you can make a Mother's Day frame. I will definitely return in the future to try another one of their classes.
