Wonderful space and the teaching is great. It was my first crochet class and I learned some basics, got to take home tools and instructions. The class was taught four ways: verbal, visual demo, hands on practice and with detailed written instructions as well. Amy is a pro and friendly too! The 1.5 hours flys by and is a great value. I took the Wing It quilling class, taught by Jessica the night before and had such a great experience that I signed up for the crochet class on the spot. Jessica's class was a fun way to spend an evening revisiting a craft I'd done years ago and really enjoyed. Both classes included all the instruction and tools you could want! The space was clean and well organized, and my instructor was so kind and helpful. I did an intro to crochet class and it was worth the money. They teach you using various teaching methods, like written instructions, photos, demonstrations, and verbal instructions. I took a class last week on making your own sugar scrubs at Sunshine Craft Co. It was taught by Laura from Scrub Studio Soaps and she was amazing! The directions were clear and easy to follow, she assisted us when needed, and brought a large variety of botanicals, powders, and fragrances for us to choose from. Laura even had ribbon and labels available to decorate our jars afterwards! What a lovely space. Amy is absolutely delightful, so good w my 7 yo granddaughter. We came in on Saturday for the kids craft workshop. Heather, the woman who lead it is wonderful as well. My granddaughter made a pinch pot pool. It was a group of about 9 kids & at no time were any of them out of control. They were totally engrossed in the craft. Then we came back at 130 to paint & decorate a treasure chest. They have different craft activities during the week as well, geared to kids or adults. I highly recommend checking them out. read more

I ordered an online macrame craft kid for my mom, sister and myself to do one afternoon. My mom and sister are not craft-y and fully expected it would be a disaster, but the kit was great. There were easy to follow instructions and even a link to a youtube video. The craft was very easy and everyone's project turned out great! read more

I met Amy at a fair and bought one of her craft kits. I was so excited. I LOVE to craft and have been looking for classes and community. My main craft is macrame and Sunshine Craft Co luckily had a class coming up. The class was amazing. She was so patient and is a great instructor. I didn't feel rushed and she kept running around to help anyone who needed it. Then I went to her craft n mingle community craft night. People bought various crafts to work on and hangout. I was so excited to find Sunshine Craft Co. Attended and participated in my first studio class, Intro to Embroidery. Amy is so welcoming and the space is inviting and comfortable. Our class was provided with step by step instruction and reassurance throughout. I was given the practice supplies and learned some basic Embroidery stitches. The adorable Embroidery project to take home was complete with everything needed to be successful, including additional instruction. We loved our time at Sunshine! My hubs and me booked a paint pour class. I brought a bottle of wine to share. We learned about different techniques and possible pitfalls in a brief overview presentation and then we worked very independently on our own. I loved that Amy had 3 different canvas shapes/sizes to choose from and she had additional ones for sale. My only disappointment was there wasn't enough colors to choose from. I understand mixing colors is a fun and important part of painting but you need at least all primary colors to do so. The group gathered was friendly and chatty. Amy was there for any questions and to cheer us on. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back! read more

This past weekend I attended my first macrame workshop at Sunshine Craft Co. It was actually the first macrame class that I've ever taken! You never would have known though because my project didn't turn out a Pinterest fail. The piece is actually very Instagramable with its beautiful design. This is all thanks to workshop instructor and shop owner, Amy. The workshop was well organized and a fun way to spend a few hours. Amy did a great job of demonstrating different macrame knots, and answering all attendees questions. I learned a lot about macrame, and can honestly say that it's one of my new favorite crafts. I can't wait to take another class at the shop; there are so many neat ones to choose from -- calligraphy, candle making, cross stitching, macrame, and the list goes on. read more
