The manager, Matty, is incredible--so kind, and genuinely invested in making your experience special. She was so attentive in helping me plan my event. Everything went seamlessly! This is one of the original guided painting studio experiences. I've been going since 2013. It never ceases to amaze me what we can do in two hours! Last Friday night, my daughter and I painted a desert scene and the teacher was great. The only thing I encourage them to do is provide the same canvas size to the audience as the original work was done on otherwise things need to be squeezed in or left off altogether. What a great space to paint and work in. Many watercolor, acrylic painting and drawing classes are offered here for children and adults. There are no mixed media classes at this time. The painting studio had a wonderful view of the lake. Lighting is great and a good inspiration for your works. I asked if artists could use this space as a studio. While the space does not currently offer that, staff thought it was a good idea. The staff told me they would forward my suggestion to management. Staff were friendly and helpful. My family has enjoyed almost a decade of amazing experiences at Creative Colors. From summer art camps, teen workshops and family painting events, we have consistently been impressed. The staff is incredible, responsive, accommodating, professional, friendly and excellent role models to kids/teens. They seem to meet every artist where they are at... building confidence along the way. This was so fun. Your really do paint a photo you can frame. My first time ever and first time with watercolors. It was pretty cool to watch it unfold. Much better than I thought it would be. Creative Color art Studios, aka Carrie Curran's art studio, is not somewhere I'd recommend. I paid hundreds for a summer program and had a family emergency and had to cancel my classes. I called quite a few days prior to when the classes were scheduled. It was very hard to talk to someone and they told me they don't give refunds for any kind of reason. I understand if that's the policy but that's just so scam-like. Even a 50% refund would have been appreciated. Why do they need all of my money if I cancelled with tons of notice prior? They were also very rude to talk to on the phone. I guess they don't care about their customers. read more

During the fall break, we decided to explore some different options & Creative Color Art Studios was hosting a 4-day camp from 8 ~ 3 pm that seem to have all that we were looking for. My kid truly enjoyed all the different activities that they did throughout the course of the week as they stayed engaged with a variety of different art projects. With COVID, it was a check-in via curbside (actually at the door) so I didn't get a chance to really explore all the details inside but took my kids daily sharing of activities that it was a positive experience. read more

My daughter loves this camp they do a great job of doing actual art education not just arts and crafts without direction.

I signed my daughter up for a week summer camp and she fell in love with the staff and the program! SO worth every penny and I plan on signing her up again next summer. My 6 year old daughter loves going to the holiday art camps. She learns so much and at the end of the day comes home with a beautiful painting to display in her room. We are looking forward to attending the "gift making workshop" in December. She attended last year and she made wonderful artwork for each one of her family members and they were even wrapped! Oh my gosh! Decided to go with three of my best pals for my birthday and we all painted our pets. It couldn't have gone better! My kids love going here in the summer to take the art classes. The owner gears the classes for each age group and I was pleasantly surprised by what my kids brought home to show me at the end of four days. The class price was reasonable and the school supplies most of the items That the kids and head. The staff is professional and were great at helping the kids. I have now done at least 5 or 6 paintings with Carrie, 2 of which were the paint your pet and it is absolutely enjoyable! When you compare her students' pet portraits to those from other painting instructors, hers are far and away better! Enjoyed very much this Saturday's painting class, Mimosa & Monet at Hermosa Inn! This is the best way to spend a lovely spring morning, learning new techniques and coloring from Carrie! My son and I spent some quality time together having fun in the beautiful garden of Hermosa Inn doing art activities. Carrie guided us with easy steps from a blank canvas to a glorious piece. What a great concept! I was invited by a friend, so I really didn't know what to expect. The BYOB is a great idea...we brought in our own snacks and the whole atmosphere was so inviting. Carrie was a great host and very engaging. So...you go in get the snacks and wine table ready....Carries gets everyone setup with their own canvas, paints, brushes and apron. You sit down and discuss what you will be painting..it's already been decided, but whoever puts together the event, chooses what will be inspiration. Anyhow, once you get started and the painting begins, Carrie turns on the music and you paint away. At the end, Carrie is great about taking pictures and getting everyone's painting, so a nice touch. Had so much fun here at the "Paint Your Pet" class with my mom! The owner, Carrie, paints the hard parts - the eyes and nose for you - shh! We learned a few painting tips at the beginning of class but spent most of the three hours painting, with Carrie and her assistant walking around and giving advice as needed. I was amazed by how well everyone in the class did! We think art is this elite thing for the super talented, but really, we all have an artist inside. I just went back yesterday for my second class with Carrie. I'm just shocked at how well my paintings have come out... she breaks it down so that it is so easy to follow along. For a person who has never painted in her life, this class has been just so much fun for me. I plan on going back since there are a few more paintings I want to try. I had no idea learning something that seemed intimidating could be so much fun, but Carrie's ability to teach techniques without fear or hesitation revealed I have skills! Our 1st class was on a location with Carrie at a lovely hidden gem boutique hotel resort with the most breathtaking scenery/grounds : proof (!) she is truly an artist with the ability to find gorgeous beauty wherever she goes. We bought a Daily Deal from Living Social to do the Van Gogh Vino Night at this Studio. Although we're not artists it sounded fun and was something creative and different to do. It was a blast! The staff were fun and friendly and there was a party energy helped along by carefully selected popular music. People bring their wine and snacks and have them while making a 'masterpiece'.... At the end of the evening we all left with a beautiful( well in our eyes) semi-original acrylic painting and heck we all just felt good! I'd highly recommend this for a couple or a group of friends, it is well worth the price. read more

BYOB wine and painting is a great idea! Awesome little studio walks you through painting your own little masterpiece! Bring a bottle of your favorite wine and they will provide all the supplies for painting. It's a little scary but I was able to channel my inner Van Vogh and was able to re-create a portrait of Daisies. This is a great place for a girls night out.
