The only thing I encourage them to do is provide the same canvas size to the audience as the original work was done on otherwise things need to be squeezed in or left off altogether. We planned ahead and brought our bottle of wine and had a wonderful time. We went on an open studio night, so I did the door mat project, and he did the string art project. If you are crafty or creative, the studio is so fun! There are so many supplies and fun things. Audra was our teacher and she was great! She was very friendly and welcoming but gave us space to get creative and do our own thing. Everybody at the class on the night we went was very nice and we got to chat with everyone. From looking at some of the other projects they had displayed and listening to them talk about what they have coming up, I'm guessing I'll be back soon for more fun projects!

She kicked off the class by giving us the opp to choose an oracle card. The card offered an intention we could keep in mind as we progressed through our poses. At the end of class, we could read from the oracle book about the card we pulled & the bigger message it was giving us. Shylo also prepped the room with a delicious scented spray + sage. Grounded32 is a community space/nonprofit where anyone can participate in different classes - painting, writing, drumming, yoga & others - b/c the goal is to bring people together in a positive spirit. Aka "eradicate loneliness!" This place has been on my radar for a few months - so glad I got to check it out!

So I thought I would get a few of my girlfriends to go with me and have a fun night of wine and painting! This whole process was very smooth. From the user friendly website to chose what and where you want to paint, and reserving your date. I even got a reminder email with detailed instructions for my painting night. The image I chose for girls night was Moonlight at the San Pasqual Wine tasting room in La Mesa. The San Pasqual tasting room was located in a very cute and walkable area in La Mesa. There was plenty of street parking, and I didn't have any problems finding the location or parking. It is a 3 hour event, so depending on the location, availability of food varies. The winery offered cheese platters and a variety of wines. Since they didn't have food, we were allowed to bring in food from neighboring restaurants. I chose a glass of their sangria for my drink of choice. I absolutely loved it. It was the perfect blend of wine and citrus. The whole experience was awesome and I had so much fun! I love my painting and I already have it on my wall! I'm planning another one with the girls already! Jason is a really good teacher! He's patient, funny, and talented in addition to being able to survive a room of primarily women drinking and painting! I completely recommend Paint-A-holics for a girls night or a date night!

Trina has so many different types of "art" to engage the children with. One time my daughters played with different types of beads and made jewelry and another time they painted on an easel. The studio is very clean and welcoming. We are lucky to have this art studio in our neighborhood!
