The owner, Jenn, is amazing and kind, and she hand-selects every item to ensure it has real developmental value. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and know the store inside and out. I love this little shop! It has so many great items for gifts. The aisles are a little narrow for strollers but I definitely managed to get around. I've been here several times. Once to let my little granddaughter pick out her own stuffed dog since she loves dogs, and here she had an assortment to look at before picking hers. Then we (again bringing the granddaughter) came another time to pick out an unusual stuffed animal for a baby shower. Next we visited to pick out a travel stuffed puppy for an upcoming trip to Copenhagen. Selection is great and prices are similar to online prices, but here you get to feel the merchandise! I am so looking forward to my next trip here with my granddaughter who is now a one year old!! read more

wildlingstoys is a boutique toy store that sells educational and developmentally centered toys. It's a small shop but it's packed full of goodies. Shelves are arranged by suggested age to make shopping easier. We went in for three gifts for varying ages and found some unique items, which is why we were avoiding big box stores and online shopping. My favorites were found actually by my 7 year old for a 1 year old friend and a 2 year old friend. @slumberkins has a line of stuffies, with matching books, that guides through emotional intelligence. Although we picked them by which stuffies were our favorites, they each had a great lesson: building connections and a growth mindset. I also grabbed a matching set of positive affirmation cards for kids. Great find! To top it off, the team member asked if these were each gifts and then put them each in a nice gift bag with matching tissue paper. What a wonderful and unexpected surprise! This is such an adorable neighborhood store! There are very few small local toy shops, and it's fun to wander into a store like this needing to buy a gift for a child but without a set idea. I ended up walking out with a cute set of magnetic animal pictures and an 18 month old drawing kit to make a small travel fun pack for a 2 year old. The shopkeeper was helpful in directing me to the right area for the child's age range and then I searched from there! As a plus, my 10 month old was fascinated by the stuffed animals and wooden cars that were at perfect eye range for a stroller. I'll be coming back here to find a fun gift for another birthday party next month! Don't forget to stop by Cafe Mollie next door to get some delicious coconut coffee to drink while you browse. :) read more

Its inventory is purposefully curated for children of all ages, every toy/book/game is made from quality brands, each team member is friendly and helpful, the variety of items is extensive but not overwhelming, the shop just gives an immediate feeling of happiness when you're browsing. You will easily find the perfect item you're looking for (or didn't know you needed)! Horrible customer service. My parents went in to buy two prismatic Pokemon packs having a limit of two per person. They almost wouldn't sell two per person to two people. Then I ordered online 2 so I can go pick them up and they actually called me and say they did a background check and found I'm reselling cards. So they wouldn't sell to me. I have four children who wanted these Pokemon and I can't find it in stores. What kind of business does a background check on its customers for Pokemon cards? Really?? I wouldn't set foot in this store ever! read more

I noticed this little shop while sipping my coffee outside of Cafe Mollie. It is tucked in the corner next door and I probably would not have noticed it otherwise! My curiosity led me inside. It is a small shop but is packed full of developmentally appropriate toys, arranged by age group. I am always on the lookout for new toys for my little one and I ended up picking up a couple bath toys. This is a great little boutique to go to if you need to buy a gift for a friend's baby or little kid but don't know what exactly to get them. I love this locally owned toy store. It's sort of tucked back from the road so you have to know it is there but if you are looking for toys for the holidays or any other occasion for kids this is the place to go. What a rare little toy boutique! Loved the vibe here - staff wasn't pushy, very helpful and the store was divided by age group and activity type. Prices are reasonable, and they have small items which can be loved by all kids. I was able to find some cute books (same price as Amazon!) and some fun bath toys that I gave never seen before at any other store. So easy to pick out stuff ! They even have a sale bin and toys/activities and arts and craft items for older kids. Small space, but parking is easy, and it's in a plaza with other stores. Will be back due more! I went yesterday looking for a kite, I wanted to fly one at the park with my son. Anyway they have some coming in Spring. We did find an airplane to build and fly. After reading the review in the Republic, I was excited to shop here. I like to support small businesses and always looking for innovative thoughts in shopping for my granddaughters. I was very disappointed in the customer service and being ignored in such a small shop with no other customers. I walked in to a "hello" and ignored for 20 minutes until I came to counter for purchase. Never asked if I needed help or guidance in purchases or inventory.
