Weeks later on a Saturday afternoon, I finally made the pilgrimage only to discover one of my new favorite coffee shops in Phoenix! There is limited curbside parking right out front (which I fortunately snagged without paying) and no parking lot I could see, but ample surrounding street parking nearby, including next to the librar,y less than a block away. I opted for the "Fan Fave" (on the small chalkboard to the left of the register that also lists available syrup,s including pumpkin spice, vanilla, honey, mocha, brown sugar, rose,and mint) "Brown Sugar + Vanilla + Cinnamon Latte". They offer 12oz and 16oz, and I opted for iced with light ice in a 16oz, which came out to $6.55 after tax! WOW! Given all the different flavors in this specialty drink, I was fully expecting to pay about ~$8 and round up to $10 with tip, like I usually do. My drink was delicious! From the perspective of a sweet tooth, I thought the brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon were an amazing combination, in a latte that did its job of giving me the energy boost I needed. I found the cinnamon to be a bit overpowering, but it gave the drink another dimension, which I appreciated. The ambiance and interior were so serene. They leave the front window open with seating, acting like a porch, and allowing the cool autumn air in. The soft sunlight prior to sunset also peaked through in between the nearby buildings. There is ample seating, with ample wall charging, and free wifi without a password. I found the elevated booths with high single/double tables to be super unique and not something I've ever seen at a coffee shop before. Overall, I love this coffee shop to death. My drink wasn't my favorite latte I've ever had, but it was definitely delicious and satisfying, especially for the price. The first time I ordered it unsweetened was accidental, but trying it without sweetener or flavor was what made me realize that their matcha may be the best I've ever had. I've also had their Mas matcha latte and it is also absolutely delicious and simple and still allows me to taste the matcha through the vanilla and sweetness. I've been to other places that serve Kettl matcha, but none have tasted nearly as rich as Futuro's. The atmosphere itself is true to its name. It is futuristic, simple, and beautiful. It is full of unique art pieces of all types, and they sell their coffees and teas as well. I feel at peace inside and they always have vibey music playing at a perfect volume and incense lit. The service itself is one of a kind and makes me feel like I'm at a 5-star restaurant. They bring your items out on a beautiful tray and will always serve your drink with a cup of water on the side if you order it for here. They will even package your food up for you, which I would never expect from a coffee shop. It can be busy at times with a bit of a wait because the drinks are all made one at a time, but it's always worth the wait. The place isn't very big but has plenty of seating given the space. For working from home, they do have wifi but limited outlets. Their pastries served from a local bakery are also delicious.

I've been to the South Phoenix location a few times but it's out of my way and I don't find myself in that area too often. This is a smaller location than the original but it has a similar look and furniture, which is comforting. Hopefully the same vibes carry over. I decided to go inside but they do have a drive-thru available. I appreciated being greeted by a clear "No ICE" sign on the entrance door, rock on. Tres Leches is big on community and supporting everyone, especially those who are more vulnerable and being persecuted. There were similar additional signage inside as well. The barista at the register was friendly and welcoming. I ordered the cafe horchata in an OG size (24 oz), and initially wanted it hot but since their horchata is made cold, I got it with light ice instead. My drink was ready within a few minutes and I was on my way. When I sipped my drink, I only tasted the coffee on top so I used my own straw to mix it with the horchata at the bottom. It was delicious and hit the spot on a warm day. I love the combination of the sweet rice drink and the bitter coffee. I love 3LC and respect them for their community work, especially against ICE and supporting Palestine. Will def be back! Wishing them all the success.

Plus the barista is always there no matter what time or day I go. That to me deserves at the very least a shout out. I also ordered their mini blue corn donuts with berry glaze (6 for $4) because they're very good. And I got one of their cute stickers ($3). Service was friendly and welcoming. The affogato was pay as you can donation which is a nice touch. The espresso was strong but mixed with the ice cream was a good balance. I love that they use real cups and plates here, very eco friendly. There's also a water dispenser with reusable cups at the counter. The bathroom was cute with a cabinet plastered with cool stickers. This indigenous and queer women-owned business prioritizes community, well-being and anti-colonialism. They have done fundraisers for Palestine and for mutual aid and care about each other. There is a 'Christmas Tree' in the back - at least, I called it that, but I was gently corrected: it's a place for people to voice their wishes and for visitors like me to come forward if they can make that wish come true.
