To get here, there are parking lots nearby where you have to pay to park or street parking around the area. Inside, they have a nice setup with some seating and then an additional patio with more seating. Wifey and I ended up getting a spread consisting of the Sunny Burrito, Ham & Cheese Croissant, Lemon Bar, and a Strawberry Matcha. Everything we had was amazing and it was great fuel to start our day. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming.

A friend of mine suggested this spot for a mid-morning breakfast, and I hadn't been here in years…read moreso I agreed. I read that their parking lot fills up quickly but that there's a public lot across the street, so I parked there and crossed over. This cozy restaurant was fairly busy and we perused the pastry case while waiting in line, lots of tempting treats. My friend ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes which are topped with blueberries. A lot of their menu items have pork in it, but they were good about substituting. The burrito usually has schreiners chorizo, hash browns, cheddar, sunny egg and chili oil with side of salsa verde. I asked for avocado instead of the chorizo. We brought our own drinks so didn't order any. We grabbed a table on their patio since the sun wasn't over our heads yet. It's nice out there and I think they have some fans going to keep the air flowing, and there was also a natural breeze. Our food came out and they were plated beautifully. My burrito looked good, but it had too much hashbrowns and also there wasn't any chili oil, which was a bummer. Maybe they normally put it on the chorizo so they forgot to add it to my avocado. The egg was runny which I like: The salsa verde was delicious; I love cilantro and it had great flavors. I tried the pancakes and they were fairly rich but I liked the tart lemon flavor and the blueberries, one of my favorite fruits. This is a nice place to meet up (small groups) and I'm glad I visited again.

I believe the owner of Slain Studios is also the owner of Crete, and you can tell by the similar interior design. The concrete is sleek and modern, and is something you don't see typically here in Phoenix- it definitely feels like a shop out of LA. There's lots of room to sit, and it looks like a good spot to get some work done. I had been here before and tried the strawberry matcha like a year ago, and I have to say it's not my favorite. I think it was quite milky, and I wasn't able to taste the matcha really, but maybe it was a off day? I have been super into sea salt foam Vietnamese coffee lately, so opting for the Ca Phe Sea Salt was a no brainer, and this was perfect. The foam is sooo good, and is delightfully creamy, without being too heavy. The coffee flavor was strong, and I felt that it was very authentic to a true Vietnamese coffee. I will definitely be back for that! I did try the black sesame banana bread as well, and the butter on it was a great addition, but I don't know if I would order it again (not a huge fan of black sesame personally, and the flavor was pretty strong). The staff member was very nice, and he was able to give me a good recommendation on the size of the coffee, since I didn't want too much caffeine. He also offered to heat up my banana bread, provide the butter to go, and then even walked around the counter to give me my items. I really appreciated the great service, and I'll be back for that coffee for sure!

I was specifically interested in their piercings (Side note, I asked if Xolo Tacos is also owned by them, but it isn't). I visited for the first time on a Sunday afternoon, just missing the late morning rush, so I had ample options to choose from regarding seating (there's couches, tables, stools)! As a first-timer who loves specialty coffees, I inquired about which drink might be the sweetest and best suited to my tastes, and through shared decision-making, we decided on the Azucar Morena! It's comprised of brown sugar and molasses, which satisfied my taste buds and coffee fix. There wasn't a wifi password sign anywhere, but upon inquiry, I received it and proceeded to chill for an hour or so before closing. I loved that they kept the door open to let in more natural lighting and fresh outside air on that serene Sunday afternoon. Overall highly recommend this coffee shop for delicious, unique specialty coffees. I can't wait to return to try more, including the pistachio espesso and cafe de olla! Or I might even stick to my azucar morena that I loved so much

I ordered off the seasonal menu and I didn't end up liking my drink, it sounded good but the flavors didn't work for me. I had the strawberry fields iced latte with oat milk. Not sure what about it didn't work. However, my guy ordered a lightly sweetened iced matcha latte with oat milk and it was perfect. So, when I go back and order a drink I like better, I'll update from 4 to 5 stars. And sounds like I messed up by not getting anything from the pastry case. Next time!! The vibe of this space clicks with the other gem, clothing, tattoo and hair salons within the Carmody shopping center. You order from the unique menu offering baked goods, cortados lattes, non coffee lattes and specialty beverages. The Kuromitsu matcha latte is served iced due to the cold foam but my daughter requested she could try the kuromitsu match latte hot. ($7.5) with the kuromitsu on the side. Honoring the customer's desire, Yumi gladly accommodated. I ordered the miso caramel latte. ($7.) Both drinks were tasty. The Kuromitsu had a rich taste like molasses but with less bitterness. Mix this with milk and it's like a dessert! The miso and caramel combined sweet with savory to produce a distinctive taste. My daughter and I each believed we had ordered the better drink, but after swapping sips, we were surprised to find ourselves preferring each other's instead! Be sure to leave ample time for ordering and enjoying this one on one experience. The wait times vary depending on how many customers are ahead of you. Tanoshimu!

While I do usually get latte's here, i do occasionally get a matcha or try my wife's, and the matcha is equally as great. When visiting Yumi, it isn't your typical coffee shop experience, you don't wait in line to have your order taken, then wait for your order at a counter. Rather, you get to have a personal experience with Yumi (and sometimes her husband Brett) as she crafts you the perfect drink! Brett and Yumi are always great company and I really enjoy getting to chat it up with them each time we go! Not only is the company and drinks good, but the assorted, rotating pastries and treats are delicious! There are flavors that I wouldn't have thought of mixing or trying before. Each time I go, I always make sure to get something to eat, everything I've had has been delectable! Depending on the time of day, the queue can get a little long, however there are plenty of interesting magazines to look through spread out in the seating area of the Carmody that are fun to look through! If I could leave more than 5 stars, I absolutely would.
