I visited Pio Pio 11... nice cocktails and great yummy food. We love the chicken! Of course! Delicious! The place was really noisy (I feel that was extra noisy?) But We love the food and crafty cocktails! Want to go back there soon!

I ordered from here today, and maybe it was just an off night, but the portions were disappointing. The rice containers were filled less than halfway, and one felt noticeably lighter than the other. It's listed as saffron rice, but it didn't taste like saffron at all. On the positive side, the chicken was tender and juicy, but the overall portion sizes didn't feel worth the price. Hoping this was a one-time issue, because the quality could be great with better consistency.

Cuisine: 8 Service: 7 Decor: 7 Value: 7 I really miss the original Pio Pio on Woodhaven Blvd. Been going there for a simple lunch or a whole roast chicken to take home ever since I moved into the neighborhood. The simplicity of their business model specializing in just Peruvian roast chicken really appeals to me. I love specialty stores. Therefore, I had quite a bit of reservation about this much larger new location with a huge menu. For that reason, it took me a while before visiting this branch. Thankfully, my worries were unwarranted. Our meal this past weekend was fantastic. Flavors were great and food was all cooked very well. We already knew the chicken was going to be tasty, but we were all really impressed with pretty much everything. We began with some Anticuchos that were grilled to perfection and paired with a delicious sauce. Moving onto the Cebiches Mxto, which had very tender seafood that was swimming in just the right amount of acidity. These were both amazing appetizers. For entrees, along with Juanita's Chicken, we shared two other wonderful dishes. The Arroz con Mariscos was extremely flavorful. Most importantly, all the seafood was cooked properly and not overdone. As for the Lomo Saltado, they use filet mignon instead of the typical cuts most other restaurants do. Hence, the price is higher than usual, but the beef is also more tender. The rich sauce was superb. Btw, we ordered a side of Fried Yuca, which was yummy too. Now that I have finally experienced this new Pio Pio, I'm glad to report that it passed with flying colors. I will be returning regularly for their roast chicken and apparently a whole lot more.

Nice place. Inside appeared clean. Service was good. We were seated immediately and given our drinks within minutes. To start, they gave us a cup of green sauce but nothing to go with it, no corn kernels (like other Peruvian places). The calamari looked delicious but the texture was chewy and felt fake. I didn't eat it. The chicken was tender but had an unfamiliar taste . The Lomo Saltado was good. It was a bit expensive and I probably will not go back.

was in the area and we were in the mood for some hispanic food. Found this place so pretty right in the corner nice big windows very inviting. Party of 4 me, my husband and two daughters. We were seated right away place wasn't too busy. They sat us in a big table for 6. We didn't look at menu prior and realized when we got there it was a little pricey. That was our fault! Anyway, we got a pitcher of sangria ! It was really good and definitely gave us a buzz lol we also ordered the Matador combo. Whole rotisserie chicken which was delicious btw! Rice and beans and it definitely could've been more of it, it's supposed to feed 4 ppl. avocado salad was good you can tell ingredients where fresh but it also could've used more dressing. salchipapas, and tostones the garlic sauce was spicy and delicious. The waiter and staff were pretty attentive will come again .

My mom and I explored Pio Pio 11, a new location in Forest Hills, Queens NYC. We totally enjoyed delicious chicken empanadas, traditional Peruvian chicken fried rice, and Peruvian seafood. And I enjoyed a Pisco Sour that immediately made me think of my time in Lima, Peru. This place is always packed with family and has such an elegant vibes! The staff are attentive and so very welcoming!

One of my fave lunch spots recently. The lunch special for $15.50 is a total bargain. Huge portions. Comes with one side and your chicken of a 1/4 portion of white or dark meat plus a generous salad plate. The drinks are so yummy and happy hour starts at 2pm. Love the white sangria and pisco sour so far.

PIO PIO IS A MUST!!! Pio pio has to be in your to go list at least once in a life time. For me all the time. Since they opened this location i do not need to travel far. Previous location was on Woodhaven blvd, i refused to go was too small, inconvenient, bad service and terrible smell all the times. Forest Hills is a very convenient location now!! Decent size, big windows. Gotta love lunch special $15, cannot beat that. Chicken, salad and a side order. Also a soda. And the GREEN SAUCE. Now i can able to go more often. MON - FRI 2-6pm drink specials as well for $8. Welcome PIO PIO

Second time here or should I say first time eating in bc last first time I just took out. My friend & I met for lunch and we both got the lunch special which is a great deal! I got the Maduras plantains while she got the tostones. Both are yummy! The tostones came with this yummy dip. Service was great we stayed longer than we planned but no one kicked or rushed us to go even though we paid bill. Ambiance was nice but it did get noisy and hard to talk/hear people when there were more people bc the ceilings are high and sounds can be cavernous thus echoey.

Pio pio is one of my favorite restaurants, glad to see them expanding. They have the best sangria & green sauce in NYC! This location is a lot bigger than Woodhaven blvd & has better parking than both Woodhaven blvd & Northern Blvd. Quick, friendly service. The menu is a little bit different, best part is the $14.50 special which includes 1/4 chicken, salad, & a side. My go to is white meat with rice & beans. We also had Avocado salad & salchipapa's, everything was delicious. Quality & taste on par with established locations. Large bar area, dining area is suitable for small groups , not the location for large groups.

Nice addition to FH. The space is very open and seating is comfortable. Our round table for four was pretty cramped though. Service was decent. Peruvian chicken was perfectly cooked and super juicy. The paella was a bit soupy, but the rice was very flavorful. The dish was packed with seafood. The ceviche was pretty good. Overall, their seafood seemed very fresh.

Came here Saturday night for dinner and was shocked we were seated right away! Usually there's a very long wait. From the time we sat down and ordered, I think our food was brought out within 5 minutes of ordering. Luckily it wasn't a busy night so no one rushed us out. The food is always good. Service is ok if not a bit slow when you need something. I found it hard to find anyone to get anyone's attention. It's also very loud inside

Hey, solid 3.5 for this chain. After you get past the waitstaff's attitudes, the food is okay. Calamari were unevenly cooked. The saltido dish was filled with flavor and the steak cooked perfectly. The paella rice was good, but most of the seafood in it was overcooked. Loud and colorful, we had a good date, but stick to the chicken and sangria here.

It was a…read moreSaturday around 10 p.m., and finding an open place to eat at that hour was not easy, so this felt like a practical option on the way home. I live in New Jersey, and I knew that if I didn't eat somewhere near the airport, I was probably not going to eat at all that night. We ordered papa a la huancaína, a tamal, and leche de tigre, and the total came to about $48, which Its affordable by the area standards. Peruvian food is not necessarily cheap, so my issue was not mainly the price. My issue was the quality and the care behind the food. Its important to note here I am Peruvian, so I say this with real knowledge of the cuisine and with disappointment, not malice. The papa a la huancaína came with about four or five potato pieces, half an egg, one lettuce leaf, and no olive. Quantity-wise, the potatoes were fine, but the sauce told the whole story. It barely tasted like ají amarillo, and the flavor felt muted and commercial, like it was made more for cost control than for enjoyment. Huancaína sauce should have character, richness, and that unmistakable Peruvian flavor. This one felt flat. The tamal was decent in flavor, so I will give credit there, but it had only one slice of pork, no egg, and very little ají. It was a good size, but still did not feel worth the price. Again, it felt like the ingredients were being stretched too far. The most disappointing item was the leche de tigre. This is a dish that deserves much more respect because for many people, ceviche and related dishes are among the most recognized parts of Peruvian cuisine. This preparation did not feel delicate or authentic. It tasted like corners were cut. As someone who knows Peruvian food and has worked in restaurants before, I understand that using enough lime to properly prepare fish is expensive in the U.S. But that is exactly the point: if you are going to serve this dish, then do it right. If not, don't present it as something special. $21 for this? Honestly, I felt CHEATED. What frustrated me most is that this restaurant clearly has potential. The decor is nice, ready for selfies and Instagram pictures; you can tell effort was put into the presentation of the space. But to me, it felt like more attention went into ambiance than into the food itself. My impression was that the restaurant is aimed more at people who are not very familiar with Peruvian food and may accept a more mediocre version of it. For someone who truly knows and loves Peruvian cuisine, this was disappointing. I've had much better Peruvian food in less polished places in New Jersey, especially in Paterson. The decor at Mixtura may be prettier, but the food I had there was, at best, low-end mediocre. I ate it because I was hungry and it was late, and I appreciate that they were open when I needed a meal. But I would not go back, even in the same situation again. If you are Peruvian or very familiar with authentic Peruvian food, this may not be the place for you. If you are simply craving something nearby and are not especially focused on authenticity or quality, then maybe it will work for you. But for me, this is a one-time visit only. Sorry, its a NO-GO for a second visit.

The meat was still sizzling as we got to the table and the potato's were very creamy! I then had sopa de gallina and it sooo delicious and flavorful, definitely recommend during a rainy day.
