My experience here was extremely disappointing. One of the dishes, priced at $35, was served with what appeared to be frozen mixed vegetables that looked like something you could buy at a warehouse store. The quality did not match the price. To make matters worse, the restaurant automatically added a 20% gratuity to the bill. The waiter later explained that this applies to bills over $120, but nobody informed us of this policy beforehand. It was an unpleasant surprise when we received the check. The most frustrating part of the experience was that the staff threw away the leftovers I intended to take home. When I asked about it, I was told that my husband had instructed them to discard the food. However, my husband was not even present at the time, making the explanation impossible and extremely concerning. Reservations are a must - walk in wait times are easily over an hour. Inca Paisa is definitely catered more towards a younger crowd - there's a bar, DJ, and live music, but it's LOUD. It was quite difficult to hear our waitress, and it was impossible for us to talk to each other during dinner. The ceviche was probably my favorite dish of the night. We ordered the Ceviche Mixto; it was well seasoned, balanced, and had a good variety of seafood. The other dishes (lomo saltado, super picada, chicken, and jalea peruana) were good, not exceptional. Had a great Sunday afternoon at Inca Paisa eating, drinking and watching the soccer FIFA match. This is a great place to watch any sporting event. The manager Tobias was amazing! It came with the beef rib, and they brought out three large pieces that were tender and full of flavor. Along with it came a generous container of soup with corn and potato--the broth was so rich and comforting, I could've had that on its own as a full meal. The plate also came with rice, a fresh little salad, and a piece of cornbread to round it out. All of that for $15 (after tax) felt like such a steal. Friday night around 9pm, restaurant was packed. Atmosphere was fun with live music and playlist when on break. Just a bit loud, very hard to hear each other. We had the Shrimp Stuffed Avocado which was ok, could use a little salt on the avocado and some more plantain chips. The mini beef empanadas were good. For dinner we had the Bandeja Paisa which was decent, middle of the road compared to other Colombian spots. Grilled Skirt Steak was ok, a thick cut of meat and was over tenderized. Beans were cold and undercooked, when asked them to heat it, came back only slightly warm. The Crispy breaded pork tenderloin was our least favorite, it was overcooked and dry. Day of the staff was nice, attentive (with the owner checking up on us.) The food was good, though the sangria tasted watered. On this most recent trip, the hostess ended up being our server because our actual waitress disappeared. We repeatedly saw her on the other side of the restaurant just chatting and not attending to any tables. The food was fine but nothing memorable, and the ambiance was just okay. What really makes this place a letdown is the service. To top it off, we ordered a lemonade that never arrived, so we asked for a Coke instead, which they did bring. But when it came time to get the check, we waited over 20 minutes because they said they needed to "replace" the lemonade with the Coke. Somehow switching out one item took a full operation. I was hoping for a little more heat, but they kept bringing something creamy and probably not vegan when we requested hot sauce. The vibe here is loud and lively! There were a few birthday celebrations going on while we ate, complete with sparkly candles and loud, joyful singing from the staff--it was fun just to be part of the atmosphere. The decor is colorful and funky, and the overall energy is super welcoming. There's also a bar with a nice selection. My family are Peruvian food fans. We usually do a big group dinner at Pio Pio every once in a while so seeing an option in NE Queens it was something they were into checking out. We had a fantastic waitress in Luisa who helped navigate the menu and adjust our order when I was about to order way too much food - her recommendations were spot on. Jalea - I almost ordered 2 of these based on the size of the dish I am used to Pio Pio serving. This had to be double the size of theirs with a large variety of fish, shrimp, calamari on a bed of yuca. Everything was fresh, but it could have used a hit of lime or citrus that I will ask for next time. Super Picada De Carnes - basically a large platter of steak, chicken, pork topped with tomato and served with chimichurri sauce. This is not something we usually ordered before, but it was a welcome change. The meats are all well done. Incidentally both platters say "for 2" on the menu - You would be hard pressed to see 2 people finish one of these on the own. They are huge. Rotisserie Chicken - The chicken is good and flavorful. Some sections were a little more well done than I would have liked, but all good. I went against Luisa's recommendation and ordered 2 of these and had 1 left over haha. Arroz Chaufa - Peruvian Fried Rice came as part of combo and it was very good. The salchipapa (hot dog and fries combo), avocado salad along with their sauces - white, pink and green were all tasty and added much to all the dishes. The red sangria is better than the passion fruit, but neither are heavy hitters. Not much alcohol in these and they do not have any fruit pieces (note: I saw on IG they add fruit to the glass - perhaps when you order an individual glass?) which is disappointing. These would do better with a some brandy for some kick. Inca Paisa is good for a group where you will get a lot of food for your money. The atmosphere is festive with the friendly helpful staff. Also double check your reservation - although our large group didn't have an issue I don't think they actually had our Yelp Reservation down even after I called the day before to confirm. read more

Good food with good friends! Inca Paisa comes with nodes of Columbian and Peruvian cuisine that blend perfectly together. Upon each table is a bottle of the Inca Paisa wine. I have yet to have this wine because the drinks are so yummy, but it's worth mentioning being that it sets the vibe for when you come here. The vibes are fun and food is GOOD! I came here with five other friends and Thank God I came with this group, because they came to eat! We started with some apps like ceviche and Papa en salsa Huancaina. That potato in the sauce was delish but the ceviche was everything. I could have licked the bowl. Our bread came out with the apps which had me dipping bread in the ceviche lime juice it was that good. The main event was a spectacle as we ordered Arroz con Pollo Colombian Style, Arroz Chaufa with steak (Peruvian style), Jalea Peruana (and insane amount of fried seafood), and a platter with Chicharrón. Each dish was just as delish as the next and we ate until we all felt like we could be rolled out of the restaurant. Like I said this place is a vibe, so much of a vibe that our server was having way to much fun and kept forgetting about us. He was very sweet but it was a little tough grabbing another round of drinks, sauces and other things. The food is average--decent, but not especially memorable. It leans more toward a polished, chain-style take on Peruvian cuisine. It's also not consistent depending on the day and the staff. Based on my experiences there's a disparity in how different guests are treated at times staff can feel dismissive and inattentive as if you are a burden or 2nd class citizen or something. I didn't know this spot opened in Bayside! It's their third outpost in Queens, so exciting. Came here for lunch with my neighborhood buddies and we totally enjoyed the great value of the lunch specials. The portions are very generous and very good if you have the appetite or if you want to share. Empanadas were good, not too oily and we ordered the chicken and beef ones. There was a great lunch special today with soup and entree. The soup bowl alone was just enormous on its own. I had the carne asada which was a little too medium well for my taste so I'll have to remember to tell them medium rare next time. (Not sure if that's a thing) My friends also ordered this fried platter of shrimp, fish, and calamari. Served over yucca fries. It says shareable for two but believe me, the portion was plenty for the four of us. We couldn't finish it. Just to mention, all of the sauces were delicious as well. Like a cilantro Verde and a creamy white sauce, forgive me, I don't know what it was called. My son ordered the crispy pork, steak and rice and beans combo with the fried egg, it was heavenly. And again, so big that it took up half the table! I recommend the desserts if you can get them - flan or tres leches is the favorite. There's a full bar if you want cocktails and beer. Then they bring out the menus full of food and sticky stuff between the pages . After they bring out the order had to wait 35 min get a soda that they forgot to bring the first time had to remind them about 4. Now the food sucks ordered Arroz Chufa mixed steak and chicken give you tons of rice and literally tiny amount of steak and chicken. Well, this visit was disappointing. Been a few times with great service, food and experience. Last nights visit? Was a bit of a letdown. First off the service was pretty slow and forgetful, one of our entrees came out completely cold. Beverages took awhile. Lastly, there was automatically gratuity was added for the first time we've ever had it added? Not quite sure why? Nothing on the website or menu says anything about it, even after a certain time. I'm in the industry so always tip a minimum of 20% even for shoddy service. All in all, I'm just assuming it was an off night considering we come here frequently. Jalen Peruana, this is a fried assorted seafood dish, the dish also had more yuca and potatoes than seafood, the fried seafood was okay. The young lady asked me where I would like to sit and I sat under the tree. Service was excellent. The food was great and very large portions. Drinks were also amazing. This place accepts cash and credit card, which is always good for the customers. Choices are always nice. The restaurant is very clean, bathroom very clean. For parking my date had to use an app because the machine was out of order. The only thing I would change is the volume of the music, bring it down a little. Please note that I previously left a very positive review for this restaurant. Truth be told, we love the food here and love that we can walk here. It's a great local spot! However, in 2 recent visits, the service has been - to be blunt- awful. Tonight, my husband and I went around 5:45, wanting to take advantage of the happy hour specials and have a nice meal. We sat for 15 minutes, with no one even acknowledging us. We understand the restaurant was busy, but then at least give us an, "I'll be right with you." My husband had to go to the bar to get us drinks. Ultimately, I was so disgusted, we left after finishing our drinks. Loved it, though it was extremely loud it was a great place to hang out after work with friends. The spot is small and a little crowded and there is one bathroom, but the service was good, the waiter was checking in on us the whole time, and made sure we had drinks. The food took some time to come out but it was worth it. However, one complaint I have would be the beans, it tasted like nothing, all I could think of is going to the kitchen and making a pot of beans for them. Besides that, everything else was extremely flavorful and well plated. There was a live DJ and a small dance floor, which gave customers some time to dance while the food came.
