Atmosphere & Vibes: The vibes here are great--comfortable…read moreand inviting with a dim, cozy setting and plenty of seating. I prefer doing take out though. Food & Favorites: I mainly come for the empanadas, which have a nice variety of flavors, from classic to more experimental options, all of which are still really good. They also offer some solid platters, and the sweet plantains (maduros) are a favorite for me! Overall Experience: A great spot with delicious food and a relaxed atmosphere, making it a go-to place for a satisfying meal.

Every worker was amazing. The empanadas were the best I've ever, ever had. Crispy outside. Great filling to ratio. Seasoned well. Not oily. The flavor was soft and delicate. The sangria was delicious. I highly recommend. The blackberry margarita was outstanding. Almost had a hint of a michelada to it. We ordered the platano relleno. Definitely order that. Again the best one I've ever had. Sweet, fresh and the juxtaposition of seasoning to meat and cheese and plantsin was beyond delicious. They also have good Columbian sodas. The apple and cola weren't overly sweet. The pork chicharon ceviche was again the best I've ever tasted. The chicharon here is impeccable. The onions weren't soggy and weren't potent. The blended well with the citrus and chicharon. The bandeja paisa was outstanding. Every protein was cooked perfectly. We ordered steaks that were juicy. The veggies amazing. The cgar grilled tasted yes. Theres an onion and tomato side I could eat plates with the rice. Thats how good it was. The guava and apple empanadas were like fall in the mouth. Well be back. Everything else was phenomenal too. Mango, chicken. Xoxo.

The hostess from the coffee shop next door comes out and tells us that they are also Mr Mario and that we could order from the same menu. Taking a quick look, we decided to sit in the coffee shop. Ambience: a modern cafe vibe, like a larger more upscale Starbucks. It was relatively empty on an early Friday night. The menus weee on IPads, so you have to navigate and scroll through several screens. Food: we ordered: They were out of Rib soup, the special of the day?! Tostones with guac and chicharron - fried pork belly with guac and tostones. Comfort food at its finest 5/5 Chicken consomme - a little salty. 3/5 Grilled chicken cutlet - well seasoned, cut thin and tender. 4/5 Service - very friendly staff. Had a little language barrier challenges while ordering but we made it work. Tip was automatically added for a party of 4.

The drinks were off I couldn't exactly point what was wrong. Maybe the Coke was flat I'm not sure but it just wasn't good. As for the food, my friend got the steak (well done which he says is the only way that steak should be eaten, I beg to differ) as well as the chicken. The food is incredibly land, and my chicken was honestly wet for a lack of better terms. I can't recall the last time that pechuga (chicken breast) was wet and that's probably because it's not supposed to be! The only reason that I gave this place two stars is that the employees here were nice, but I wouldn't return especially when there are many better spots nearby- not necessarily for Colombian food but great food in general.

This time, I ate in on Mother's Day with my boyfriend and my son. My son and I ordered a calentando with huevos pericos and arepa with cheese. Everything was packed with flavor and delicious. My boyfriend ordered a migao which is all types of Colombian breads and cheese soaked in hot chocolate. I especially loved the presentation and it tasted just like Colombia. It was a little hectic and warm in there since it was Mother's Day and there were many customers ordering to go but I was very satisfied with the food.

Most of the time we order takeout, and the food is packed well, still hot when we get home, and always fresh. Whether eating in or taking out, the quality is the same every time. Our go-to is the Picada para 4 Personas, and it never disappoints. The platter comes loaded with pork rinds, sausage, blood sausage, salami, and steak -- all cooked perfectly with great flavor. It's a big, satisfying dish and perfect for sharing. A reliable neighborhood restaurant with excellent food, good service, and great value. Highly recommend if you're looking for authentic Colombian dishes done right.
