I'm Vietnamese and understand Vietnamese and today was probably the worst experience I've had at a nail salon due to my nail tech but my nails turned out great after a different technician (Crystal) fixed them! I really hate giving ratings like this but I just can't get over how my nail tech treated me. I booked a shellac with design but changed my mind to rainbow French tips. The service said from 1:20 - 3:00pm which was pretty accurate, but my nail tech was pretty unfriendly. I started the appointment letting her know that I was pregnant and have had experiences of having my cuticles bleed very easily when getting trimmed while pregnant and she basically didn't say anything but was gentle with my cuticles and let me know after cutting them these she tried to be gentle as possible. But then when she did the French tips, she wasn't making it thick enough to cover the white crescent part of my nails and kept telling me she couldn't go wider - I think it was miscommunication although my example showed thicker French tips. Then a customer came to my rescue and asked Crystal to help me and Crystal came and asked what I wanted and did exactly what I was asking for. But while Crystal was helping me, my nail tech was talking to her in Vietnamese not knowing that I am Vietnamese and understand it all! What I heard was that she mentioned I was difficult from the start which I didn't believe I was and at the end she even said I acted like a Princess... she might have been having a bad day but it was just a terrible experience. I think it's totally okay to speak to each other in another language, a lot of the time I hear Vietnamese nail techs talk about their kids, vacations, or help each other but I guess it's just weird hearing someone talk crap about me not knowing I understand. I didn't want to make a scene and even tipped decently bc I got what I asked for all bc Crystal fixed it. And Crystal was nice and friendly from conversations I overheard from her during my service in Vietnamese and English and she was super positive and also helpful to the other tech. She told the tech she can borrow a tool if she wanted to practice. I can totally see why Pink Polish is so popular - they do really good work and some of the techs are true artists! I would probably come again but I'd definitely request a specific tech and make sure I get the one I requested rather than letting them choose for you. read more

Really appreciate this place, I've gone several times for pedicures and always enjoy my time and the service! I have had two appointments now where I've needed to change something- like seeing if they could squeeze my mom in for a pedi at the same time as me, or my friend needing to cancel their appointment with me at the last minute due to an emergency- and they have been so accommodating and kind! Updating my 4 stars to 5! Why? Because I swapped out my SNS for gel polish here and it lasted 2.5 weeks! I've never had gel last that long! It lasted until I broke a nail lifting heavy weights. My pedicure also lasted a good 1 month before my toe nails grew too long. Two other good things are the owner listens to feedback, and the time their massages that come with each mani/pedi. Quality of service has gone downhill greatly since they first opened. I have several examples and incidents but the last pedi I received a few months ago, the tech was too harsh and made my big toe bleed. They gave me a discount and she had apologized. I find that the older techs tend to be aggressive while the younger techs lack thoroughness. Today, my tech was harsh as well when working on my cuticles but no blood drawn. I did flinch and pulled my feet away from her a couple of times. She also gave me a dirty glass that had lip marks - assuming it wasnt cleaned thoroughly or a dirty glass was used by mistake. I won't be returning. One too many times I extended grace as I do appreciate the front of house staff and easy online booking. read more

Im really sad to give this review, over the last few times I've been here it's been progressively worse for my acrylic fills. I got a brand new set the other day and a nail immediately broke (not doing anything too strenuous). I came in today to get it fixed and my cuticle was flooded with acrylic and it is way to thick and lumpy. I asked to have the side fixed but it was just lightly filed. They do such an excellent job here- I got my nails done by the owner Crystal and she could not be any more patient or kinder. I have long natural nails that I just wanted a thin layer of an overlay type product (but NOT a dip manicure). They offer a hybrid overlay here-the pros are it is not heavy as acrylic and it is light like a gel overly. I have super lifting nails...I just have an oily nail bed and I am rough on my nails. After my first appointment and 3 weeks later ZERO lifting! The filling process is so much easier and nicer with a hybrid manicure-no heavy filing or picking or powder flying everywhere with that odd acrylic smell that lingers in the air. The price is higher than a gel or acrylic but well worth the price! also because the product is lighter it doesn't flatten out your nail bed (you still have that natural curve). If you want a Hybrid overlay you cannot make an appointment online so you do have to call (not everyone does the service who works there). But when you call to make an appointment the person who makes your appointment is so super nice! I also like that you can make an appointment here-they do not overbook and the 2 times I have come in they are either early or right on time- none of that overbooking business here. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming here! the reception staff, even the nail technicals who are not doing your nails always have a pleasant smile for you and are just kind. The nail technicians seem to really like one another and are respectful of each other. I am always offered a beverage and a comfortable chair to sit in (in the case I am early). I LOVE that the owner pays their nail techs a living/fair wage! That is important to me- being a licensed cosmetologist myself I adore that they take care of their employees (most of the service industry is NOT that way). So if you think the prices are a little on the expensive side it is because they pay their employees a living wage...I will pay more to make sure someone else can live at the minimum-comfortably. Very disappointed. I came in on 5/3/23 as a new customer for a dip with Nina. She was wonderful! Before I left, I made sure to schedule 3 weeks out with Nina and I put it into my calendar on my phone. I come in today 5/24 and am told that someone requested her a month ago and they offered someone else named Megan to do my nails. Not sure why the gentlemen at checkout at my 5/3 appt would've initially put me down if someone else was already scheduled. So I requested to have my dipped nails soaked off. Super frustrating because I really liked Nina's service, but there's lack of organization and it's an inconvenience to reschedule. At checkout on 5/24 after getting my dip soaked, I was told they did receive my review and instead of the salon owning up to the miscommunication, made me feel it was my fault and that I was initially scheduled with Megan. Not sure how it's my fault when I was asked if I wanted Nina again. Completely unprofessional to say it's the customers fault. I should've gone elsewhere and not given them my $18 to soak my dip off. Didn't even offer a percentage off for my soak off due to their lack of poor scheduling. read more

We finally found our new mani/pedi spot! We were passing through on our way to a work retreat in Union, and I was frantically calling (the very few)as many non toxic nail salons that Google gave me within the vicinity (knowing it was going to be a long shot to get a walk in same day appointment) for three pedicures within the next thirty minutes. Thankfully Pink Polish came up as my final phone call! The person who answered was so friendly, very accommodating, and was able to fit us in within the thirty minutes requested! The salon is beautiful, restrooms clean, the technician's we had were so amazing and friendly, did a great job on my husband, daughter (mani/pedi), and I's pedicures and the best part the feet and leg massages--oh my goodness give yourself a treat and kick it up a notch and make sure to get the Spoil Me or the Pink Treatment you will NOT regret it! My gel toes are so pretty and the attention to detail with the massage to the painting of our nails was greatly appreciated! Our family can't wait to become regulars here and definitely have no issues making the hour commute to support a minority/women owned establishment with the top notch service and the most fantastic customer service. I love, love, love their check out ticket system too--no more weird vibes of someone hovering at the end of a treatment like other nail salons. You take your ticket to the reception desk and pay for your service there. Other nail salons in the greater Seattle area definitely need to take notice of Pink Polish because they're really doing things different here. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because I was under the impression that I was getting the $35 dollar pedicure, but no one specifically asked me which one I wanted, so they charged me for the more expensive $45 amount. I wish they had been more clear with the pricing and specifically asked me. When I mentioned how I was under the impression that I was getting the $35 pedicure, that front desk gal told me, "There's nothing she can do. And when you schedule an appointment you choose the one you want." I was a walk in customer and it was my first time here. I was not given any option. All I said was I wanted a pedicure, so I assumed it would start at the standard amount unless requesting the more expensive one.
