Hoggie Italian
Patricia P.

The sandwich was delicious with fresh ingredients and the bread was perfect. I had the Hoggie. The service was excellent too.

Meatball sandwich
Monte L.

This was my first time here, and I was very impressed with the meatball sandwich. The meatball itself is soft, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. The sauce is savory and meaty, and thick; I loved it. The bun was crunchy on the outside and very soft inside and covered with toasted sesame seeds. The service was friendly when I picked up the sandwich; it's a family run business and I believe the daughter rang me up. They appear to be genuinely nice. The place itself is small, cute, and cozy. It's a no frills interior. The fries are seasoned fries (previously frozen), and they're tasty, crunchy, and the seasoning is savory but not overpowering. You still taste the potato which I like. Overall, a great spot for a meatball sandwich.

Turkey and ham sub
Sandra C.

I was craving a turkey and ham sandwich and this place did not disappoint. Sub hit the spot , it was so good and best of all the man at the counter was so courteous and helpful and sweet . The woman that brought us our subs to the table was also so kind ! Definitely recommend .

three slices of bread!
Rex X.

roma market was closed early for new year's eve, so I popped into pietro's for a sandwich. the hot hoagie was great. smooshed down by the hot press, it was a nicely balanced sandwich. sometimes you want a mountain of meat with the bread acting ceremoniously as a wrap, but it's really nice to get a sandwich where the bread contributes equally. all that to say, the toasted sesame loaf made me v happy and it was interesting that they make it with three slices of bread. the sesame taste comes through so well that it reminded me of having sesame jianbing. as of this post, $9ish for a small (6 in) and $12 for a large (12 in). no clue why someone would get the small... I personally couldn't afford it. would come back and would recommend to someone if they were in the area and wanted a sandwich. plenty of parking.

Small pizza
Margarita B.

Fresh side salad, nice homemade dressings and good crispy crust on both of the pizzas we ordered. I also had the spaghetti and meatballs which was good but I would've liked more sauce. Nice family owned business & parking lot access for the area of Altadena/Pasadena CA area. Mid range pricing for portions.

If they had happy hour my friend would never leave lol

Fabulous sandwiches and pizza. Excellent customer service and made fresh! They must have new staff cause I came back off the burnt food a year later and yeah nothing but good reviews...

Pastrami Alla Pietros Hot Subs
MarVy S.

Pietro's is an Italian Restaurant that serves pizza, salad, pasta, and sandwiches. ::Food:: My favorite is their famous Hoagie cold sandwich! It has salami, mortadella, salami cotto, lettuce, mayonnaise, tomato, pepperoncini, and provolone cheese. I recently tried the hot Pastrami Alla Pietros which is served in a loaf of toasted bread with pastrami, mustard, and pickles. The bread is not always fresh, unfortunately. I got a sandwich that had an odd perfume taste and the bread was dry. We also ordered pizza but they forgot to add all the toppings. ::Customer Service:: Friendly staff ::Highlight:: The Hoagie! ::M's Notes:: -Parking lot and street parking -Indoor dining only

Then saw a unique appetizer salad item on menu "Involtini" $16. It was a great appetizer consisting of arugula, and goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto, with an impressive large thin sliced piece of Parmesan on top drizzled with a balsamic reduction. Very unique and good, I look forward to replicating at home with a little more balsamic. I ordered the Settebello $21 pizza as a main entree of which I thought was advertised with pancetta, mushrooms and Italian sausage. Pizza came out hot and fresh, but with prosciutto instead of the perceived menu listed pancetta. Pizza sauce was good, the sausage and mushrooms were great. Crust was a little doughy, not crispy but charcoal charred in places. Not phenomenal but not bad, middle of the road overall. Service started off great but fell flat to the floor. Drinks and food came out on time indicating bar staff and kitchen staff were on point. Waiting staff could up their game. No check up or check in. No offers for drink refills or another round. I had to ask for refills on water. Final bill $56.35 for one drink, appetizer and pizza for a solo dinner. Three (3) stars at best! Room for improvements.

Parking garages are all nearby or street parking around the building. The location has a number of tables and TVs to enjoy the games. The staff here were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. There were an abundance of ready made slices to select. Per the staff, they have vegan cheese options for whole pizzas, but none for ready made slices. Just as an FYI. They also offer a number of sandwiches as well. The number of items is vast and of great variety. Now for the pizza. The selection was a mix NY slices and square slices. I was looking for some to go. So I decided on the squares cause I love those slices! I went with Pepperoni Grandma and a Pepperoni Honey DeNiro. The staff will heat it up for you on the oven and even cut slices in half to enjoy them. I loved the flavors and the crisp edges. It had a great crunch in each bite and taste was solid. My favorite of the too was the Pepperoni Honey DeNiro. The hot honey on this slice made this option stand out to me. The mix of sweet and savory paired with heat is my kind of combo of flavor. :) I would come back again if I'm craving pizza and would think of the trying a sandwich too in the future because their menu looked good. Thanks, Brooklyn Square! ( ^_^)b

5/5 - Mac and Cheese I thoroughly enjoyed the mac and…read morecheese. It wasn't heavy or overly oily like some places tend to make it. The charred breadcrumb topping added the perfect crunch, and the portion size was ideal for two adults. It had that perfect cheese pull--and then some. 5/5 - Pepperoni Pizza (with added sausage) The pizza was excellent. I loved that we could add sausage, and the crust was amazingly light. My partner likes dipping pizza in ranch, and the crust (especially the edge) was perfect for that. If you're not a fan of overly saucy pizza, this is definitely for you--the sauce doesn't overpower the sausage or pepperoni. The cheese was evenly distributed, so every bite felt balanced. 3/5 - Broccolini The broccolini was just okay. I liked the char and the slight smoky flavor, along with the hint of lemon and cheese on top. However, I wish it had been blanched a bit more, as it was crunchier than I prefer. The tops were slightly over-charred for my taste, and the texture didn't quite come together. You order before being seated, which is a bit different, and then it's open seating--bar seats, booths, or tables depending on your preference. We chose a corner booth since there was a birthday party in the center of the restaurant. The space can comfortably accommodate groups of 5-10 people. One thing to note (not the restaurant's fault) is that there were children running around quite a bit, which made it feel a little chaotic at times. Since there aren't any activities or designated areas for kids, it would be nice if parents were a bit more mindful so everyone can enjoy their dining experience. The servers were extremely nice and attentive, especially when it came to refilling drinks. You may need to check in with them for things like to-go boxes, but overall the service was solid. Overall, I would come back again.

When you enter The establishment you are immediately aware of the great aromas coming from the kitchen. After walking through some tables and chairs, I was greeted at the counter by a friendly hello and 'how can I help you?' I asked a number of questions concerning the menu. I knew there was pizza but I wanted to know more about their sandwiches and salads. I found out that they do have daily / weekly specials that are a great value. I decided to order a special small Italian sausage pizza and an order of six nude chicken wings with ranch dip on the side. I sat down and waited for the order to be completed. There were a few people at some tables finishing up their lunch. While I was there the phone was constantly ringing with takeout orders. The walls had simple decorations that created a nice ambiance. When my order was called, I was given instructions on how to carry the bag as to not disturb the toppings and cheese on the pizza. As I walked, the smell of the fresh pizza and wings was enticing. The wings were just as I ordered. I enjoyed that they have not been overcooked. The wings were tender and moist. The ranch dressing dipping sauce was a great choice. I look forward to trying some of their other homemade sauces. The Italian Sausage Pizza was cooked just the way I like it. The crust had a nice crisp bottom and great flavor. The toppings of olive and onion were a perfect combination with the Italian sausage. I was happy that I ordered the small size rather than the mini so that I could enjoy some cold pizza the next day. Great flavor even on day two. On another trip I ordered the Italian Grinder Sandwich and a large Antipasto Salad. The salad was full of flavor and fresh vegetables and meats. The sandwich was huge. More ingredients than I expected with a great Italian flavor, the bread was incredible as well. I tried the sandwich both cold and hot and both ways the flavor was the star of this sandwich.
