Food was amazing really liked the ambience. The servers were really nice and overall restaurant was very welcoming. We decided to try the restaurant out during restaurant week. And for starters, we had the eggplant and also casino clams. My boyfriend had the chicken al vodka, which was amazing and I had the shrimp oreganata. The drinks were strong. We had the old-fashioned and had a glass of Pinot Grigio. Dessert was good as well. We had the cheesecake and the chocolate lava. Will definitely be going back again.

We came with a large group for a birthday celebration. The zucchini special appetizer was delicious, I had the gnocchi for dinner and added broccoli. It was very filling and some of the best Italian in the area. The service was exceptional, and the drinks were very strong.

Great deal! Very nice decor, seated right away with party of 4. Did have reservations. Waiter was wonderful (sorry didn't get his name) drinks were on point so was the dinner $49.99 appetizer clams, salad and entree 11/2 pound lobster with veggies (string beans and carrots) with jasmine rice. And choice of dessert. Everyone should try

This place has an adorable atmosphere! My husband and friends came on a Thursday evening and they had a restaurant week menu which is a prefix menu with selected choices of appetizers, entrees and desserts for $46 PP, great deal which we did! We ordered clams, a pear salad and burrata to start. All great and the pear salad was refreshing! Then had shrimp pasta, and braised boneless beef short rib. The pasta was good but the short ribs were soft and flavor was spot on with potatoes and vegetables! If you eat meat, I recommend ordering this dish! It's a one of the favorite dishes here (yelp) for a reason!

We have been dining at Piccolo's since the restaurant was first opened. Our dining experiences have always been superior, and the service is first class. The restaurant has a traditional wood accented ambience with an open-door dining room when weather permitting. When you enter the restaurant, one will find a cozy bar area tucked to the left of the dining room. We have enjoyed many family dining celebrations at Piccolo's; anniversaries, birthdays, reunions, and presurgical dinners which are the most humorous event. Many of our favorite dishes include Shrimp wrapped in Bacon Special, Tuna Steak Special, and stuffed artichoke when available as an appetizer is ridiculously good. And it was available on our recent last visit. Other favorites we have enjoyed at Piccolo's include eggplant meat balls and the seafood specials which are always good. One of our favorite restaurants on Long Island.

They recently refurbished it, with a new granite bar top, plusher seats and a much bigger menu. These changes all get a big thumbs up! My wife and I visited last weekend for cocktails (their version of the Paper Plane is the BEST), and I had a cubano sandwich that satisfied immensely. Sapsuckers rules, period.

Recently this establishment has gotten even better with an improved decor, (they have brought over tables, chairs and other items from the recently closed Red Restaurant), adding a level of sophistication and charm. They have also improved the bar area as well. The menu now is larger and offers some of our favorites, and soon to be yours, from once sister restaurants Red and Osteria da Nino. All the food is outstanding as is the friendly attentive service of the servers. Today Monica and Kelly served us lunch and suggested the fried cheddar cheese curds to accompany our beers, a terrific choice- these are an adult version of fried cheese sticks. We had mentioned that we wanted to share both a Wedge Salad and a Philly cheese steak sandwich, to our surprise both came out thoughtfully divided equally to share making the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you are looking for a quick bit at the bar or a sit down meal this is a perfect choice.

The place itself is very nice and has a cool feel to it. It goes really far back and has two bars, with a little stage in the middle for local musicians and performers. In terms of the drinks they serve, they have a lot of good canned craft beer options (not sure what's on tap), that are served in a nice chilled glass. Their cocktails are very creative and taste delicious. My friends got an East meets West (Mezcal, mango puree, fresh lemon, basil simple syrup with tajin chili salt rim & basil leaf) and a Main Squeeze (Blood orange vodka, passion fruit nectar, aperol, elderflower liqueur, lime juice, thyme simple syrup topped with citrus foam & dried rose petals). The east meets west was really good, and the basil really complemented the mezcal in an unexpected way. The main squeeze was also really delicious and tasted like candy, except for a perplexing smokey aftertaste that we couldn't quite figure out. Overall though some very creative and potent cocktails that we definitely want to come back and try more of! My only issue was with how slow the service at the bar in the front was. I feel like those two cocktails shouldn't have taken 15 minutes to prepare (not an exaggeration). Maybe this is an issue with understaffing?

We came for after-dinner drinks and dessert, but none of us were in the mood for anything sweet, so we ordered the fried chicken instead. It was absolutely delicious, and the sauce that came with it? I could drink it by the glass. Three of us ordered the Smoked Old Fashioned, which is as much of a performance as a cocktail. Since it was the end of the evening, they only did the smoked enclosed glass presentation for two of the drinks, joking that we were probably over it for the third. That was a bit disappointing, but understandable given it was closing time. I'd love to come back and try their omakase.

So let's dive into the great and the questionable. The Great: Service, ambiance and food quality - they rotate the menu every month depending on the freshest ingredients and build a menu to honor and respect the Japanese cuisine. Truly a beautiful journey on each curated plate. Since they rotate out the menu what I tasted today will change so I won't go into each detail of the dish. The questionable: This is purely personal and from my perspective, please go and try this place out regardless. The booking is relatively easy on line through tock, the cost on the counter is $200 pp they will take on the 20% service fee so you can go and enjoy without having to think about the bill - which is nice ! But to me it's a bit non personal- I prefer to tip at the end depending on my experience as a whole. This is purely my preference as I do overtip. I ordered a drink as I didn't pre book the drink experience because I had a minor with me. Then I felt that I should overtip which I did when I paid for the drink. Let's talk about the menu- the food was truly amazing especially the ingredients but maybe it was this set of menu. It was composed of more soup/wet dishes than I would have liked. Perhaps August menu would be different. Overall I gave it 5 stars because I believed they uphold the traditional kaiseki tradition and respected each element presented. I will be coming back for the winter menu to see what they can create next!
