Fun spot, good food. Way more roomy than I thought it would be from the front. I can't say enough about the staff. They were short handed this particular night and you wouldn't have known it from they way they served and treated you. Top notch place. Go stop by!!

This has been my go to pizza place for the past 11 years. Ordered a penne pasta ( pasta was great) & pie through slice app Sicilian pie with half cheese and half added broccoli and onions. The cheese side was fine and great. The onion side of the pizza was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen or tasted. Kids said the onions were like slugs. We always get onions from other places and they are thin cut and cooked ..I don't know what they were thinking to put like a pound of half raw oily onions on that half, as well as soggy broccoli. So gross. The whole bottom of that side was wet and you couldn't even pick it up without it tearing. I did contact slice about the issue. I told them I don't want a full refund. Just a partial for the half with the broccoli. They offered to send another one. I was like hell no. Never want to experience pizza with onions like that. And to say I spent $50 dollars for the pie and side of pink sauce pasta. A lot of money. They didn't agree for a partial refund. So here I am leaving my review. Lost a costumer.

    Half sausage and half mushroom..

Taking a walk down my pizza memory lane, reflecting back on the good times, some days I'll tell you "the best of times". The innocence of the times of playing Missile Command, Robotron, watching Monster Club, Heavy Metal (the movie) Anwar Sadat getting wacked, Star Wars figure set (still gottem), 875 Dow Jones and 10.25 percent inflation when US finances were credible. My Catholic grammar school principal Sister Terrance (aka Terrible Terrance) pointing, but not looking at me in front of my parents stating " this fellow -- this fellow belongs, or ought to be placed, in a very strict corrective institution". And, a few short years later - military high school here I come -- score one intuition point for the cloth. But most of all I remember the great pizza, the perfect food for any meal for any time for me. Morning, noon, night and late night refrigerator raids. Both then and now and the options of pizza parlors were -- and remain quite plentiful, it's NYC dontcha know. Now, I'll tell you that I didn't dip my day old (potentially older) cold mushroom pizza into my morning coffee back then, watching the grease streaks swirl around like circular comets tails, swirling around the bobbing mushrooms floating on top, which might sound yucky - but, don't knock it till ya try it. So when I went to visit a friend, I went with half mushroom and half sausage - I believe it was a 16 inch pie and a grilled chicken Caesar Salad to infuse some ruffage. Any Hobbit would have jumped for joy at the mere sight of the heavy wristed can flip as the mushrooms were piled atop more than what I've seen here in Forest Thrills, that's for sure. The crust was plyable like foam rubber and although not crispy, it was a pleasantly soft bite and structurally sound to keep the toppings from running down hill and away.

The bar itself seems to be clean & incredibly well decorated with memorabilia, the concert tickets lining the bar were fun to reminisce to. The bar tender was wonderful..nice & attentive. Here lies the problems.. No where on the website or on the social media listings does it remind you that: 1-There is a cover charge for music (not a problem, this should be expected) 2-They only accept cash (of course there is an ATM, duh)(NYS should insist that if an establishment only accept cash, their ATM does not charge a fee) 3-No food (we figured this out by reading reviews, not a problem, eat 1st) 4-After all of this, it seems there is also a 2 drink pp min...also not a problem, but what was annoying is that a well drink is 13 dollars. A club soda 5 dollars, which was because it is one of the 2 drinks..ok, fair. But this is not NYC or a high end nightclub. This is what I expect at The Paramount or Jones Beach. Maybe others feel the same way ? we arrived after the band was already set up & ready to go and there was no one else in the bar..for quite some time after as well. Even as we were leaving 2 hours later, there were too few people there to appreciate this fabulous band. All in all we had an interesting experience, but all 4 agreed we would never return.

This includes the olive oil cake, bbq pulled pork nachos, crispy Brussel sprouts, smash burger (although not consistent in size), and chicken picante. The restaurant is relatively new (just reached third year anniversary), so perhaps the kitchen needed more time to prepare dishes more consistently. For the most part the food now matches the social media hype. TIP: Others have recently noted slow service, incorrect orders. I have been visiting at the start of dinner service, and have not encountered this, so some of these issues may potentially be avoided by arriving before inexperienced service staff are overwhelmed. Most people will be seated on second floor which requires walking up a staircase. If special accommodation is needed I suggest informing restaurant in advance.
