The Rust and Gold Huntington, NY @therustandgold The Rust and Gold is located in the heart of Huntington, offering a laid back atmosphere... but packs in the flavor with its food and specialty cocktails. A great spot to grab a bite to eat, or a night out on the town! For food you have to get The Golden Onion - a giant onion sliced and fried to perfection! We also really loved their Bronx Chicken Parm Sandwich made with vodka sauce and hot peppers on a garlic ciabatta. Their Bang Bang Shrimp were also delicious and you can't o wrong with their 8oz prime blend of chuck and brisket burgers! Their cocktails were tasty, balanced, and presented beautifully. You have to get their signature frozen espresso martini! We loved the rest of the drinks we got, truly can go wrong with any drinks here. We love it here and we know you will to! Come check them out! Follow us on Instagram @drinklongislandny for full video and many more spots!

Me and my friend's go to spot for apps and drinks! The cocktails are always good and the staff are all so kind. I really like the dark, pub amosphere. I think they have a DJ on weekends! My usual choice of snacks are the mozerella triangles and corn dip but today I tried the popcorn chicken since it's the first time I've seen it on the menu. It was pretty good! I forgot to use the lemon but the herbs in the dish compliment the chicken really well. If you like tequila, the Tequila Drink is a must! I highly recommend this place.

Trivia night was fun. Participants were competitive lol. Food came out great. Mozzarella triangles were real delicious. Gabbi was a great host. Spicy margarita was a hit.

Drinks and staff are great . The bar is so much fun and I love how em they always have good stuff on the TVs . Not your average sports bar but a good one at that. Food could be better . It needs more love.

Came here after the Huntington Tree lighting. Good thing we got here early because this place fills up fast! We chose to sit at the bar. The bartender greeted us immediately and offered menus. I had a spicy margarita and the gold castle burgers. The margarita was spicy but perfectly made! So tasty! The gold castle burgers are three sliders with cheese, onions, pickles and ketchup. I have to say they were absolutely amazing!!! They were a generous size. So flavorful, fresh and cooked perfectly. I asked for medium rare and they were exactly that! They came with French fries. I love French fries but these tasted as if they were cooked in an oil that has been burned. Was disappointed and didn't eat them. They had all football games on various screens. A fun place overall with a great vibe.

I came here on a Thursday night with my friends and it was busy! Probably because of the Huntington Christmas Spectacular nearby. The ambiance was amazing as you walk into an open space where everyone is just chilling and having a great time. The bar is in the middle with bright decorations all around the walls. There are many games to play and enjoy with friends as well as a photo booth! On the left side wall is a chalkboard with menu items recommended. We sat on a high table and everyone was struggling not knowing where to put their jackets. Luckily, I was still cold so I kept it on the entire time. Everything blew my mind! I thought it would be like bad bar food but the corn dip was unique and delicious, mozzarella triangles were cheesy and fresh, and the chicken quesadilla was very good and not dry at all. Tried green tea shots for the first time and you absolutely don't taste any alcohol, just the herbalness of the tea. I love frozen drinks, but unfortunately the Pina colada was seasonal. So I tried the salted caramel espresso martini which tasted like something between an iced coffee or coffee ice cream. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area!

I guess it was an off night when comparing my experience to the other reviews. We arrived and waited about 10 minutes for a hostess to come to the front, a line forming behind us. We sat down and the waitress promptly came over and took our drink order. My hubby had the tequila drink, he enjoyed it, and I had the frozen watermelon margarita. The frozen margarita was just really sweet and tart, like too much watermelon concentrate. My hubby took a sip and thought it was disgusting, but it was tolerable to me. For appetizer we had wings, half Carolina, half buffalo. The wings were good, although the Carolina sauce was not what I was expecting. Carolina style is usually more vinegar based but these weren't. They came with a nice amount of blue cheese and I would get those again but only in the buffalo sauce. I'm a huge fan of fried pickles and these were a total miss for me. They taste like frozen fried pickles, very bland and just not tasty. For entrees we got a Tennessee hot chicken sandwich and bacon balsamic blue cheese burger. The Tennessee hot sandwich was not hot at all. Like we were staring at the chicken to see if there was even sauce on it, the chicken was not crispy etc. Definitely a skip. The balsamic blue cheese burger was also a skip for me. It was so bad. Extra well done, the balsamic glaze smelled so horrible and way too much, making the meat taste sour. The redeeming factor for both dishes were the onion rings and waffle fries. We both left super disappointed, and wish we spent the $130 elsewhere. It's also uncomfortably loud in there. We were shouting across the small table and still couldn't hear one another. One and done for us

The food is solid. I would come again sooner if I lived closer. Came here with friends after watching the new Barbie movie and it was great addition to our day. I got the classic crispy chicken sandwich and the Rocket Fuel drink that allegedly has a dangerous amount of rum (and boy does it, I could taste the rum). The sandwich is delicious! The inside isn't as crispy but probably because I saved it for the end (and ate around the edges). The chicken itself was not too drThe sauce and cole slaw in the sandwich really compliment the whole meal. I only wish I had another stomach to eat it twice! The fries are crispy and fresh. Not too oily and still flavorful. The indoor dining is adjacent to an opening so you can feel the coolness of the AC but also appreciate the sun and air directly. Our waitress was also really nice and helpful with any requests we had.

Had a fun dinner hanging outside. Kids played corn hole and connect four. The food was fair. We ordered popcorn chicken and a bunch of sandwiches, wings Korean and Buffalo flavor. Typical size, the sauce flavors were ok. Burgers are small which is why they ask you if you want double patties, you do. Caesar was drowning in dressing. Drinks and beer selection was nice. Service great! Great hang out plus some good bar food.

Food was average but not bad I wouldn't mind coming back. The mozzarella sticks wasn't that great the vodka sauce made it. The highlight of my meal was the chicken quesadilla that was good! I got the chicken snack wrap it was good my fries were good. My husband didn't really think much of his sandwich. But I'll be back for that chicken quesadilla. I also wished they had more of a variety of cocktails. Waitress was nice and checking on us often. We didn't have to wait too long for food which is always a good thing.

At this festive family dinner, I worked hard to eat everyone else's food in the name of journalism. The service was outstanding; the Austin East Cider was enjoyable, but perhaps more important on this hot day was the frequently filled ice-cold water. My proprietary algorithm steered me to the burger section but I spent too much time attempting to narrow it down from there. The appearance of North Country Thick Cut Bacon as an ingredient meant the winner was A Million Bucks, juicy and filling. The pretzel and crab dip were enjoyable, no surprise there, but the most unexpected delight was the Garden Heart Iceberg salad. Perhaps that's a startling repudiation of my anti-lettuce sentiments, but the aforementioned bacon turned up here too.

This is a popular local bar with indoor/outdoor seating. Lots of other drink/food spots nearby for bar hopping. Relatively young crowd. Ample waiters for the tables. They used to have games, but seem to have got rid of them.

Came here for drinks and food with a friend to watch a rangers game. Ordered montauk wave chasers and some bar food. Service was on point for a busy night. We got the Buffalo chicken dip which was awesome. A mix of savory and hot, each and every bite got better and better. The mozz triangles are a must. They come with vodka sauce! I consider myself a mozzarella stick connoisseur and let me tell you... those things had a nice cheese pull that could go for miles. That's super important to me when I get mozz sticks haha. We also got chicken wings the Carolina bbq and the sesame Buffalo i believe we're the flavors we ordered. Super crispy and saucy just the way I like em! The food is good, but if you come here late at night expect it to be a party. This place knows how to have a good time if you're looking to drink in Huntington village and on Tuesday nights they have bingo!

The place itself is very nice and has a cool feel to it. It goes really far back and has two bars, with a little stage in the middle for local musicians and performers. In terms of the drinks they serve, they have a lot of good canned craft beer options (not sure what's on tap), that are served in a nice chilled glass. Their cocktails are very creative and taste delicious. My friends got an East meets West (Mezcal, mango puree, fresh lemon, basil simple syrup with tajin chili salt rim & basil leaf) and a Main Squeeze (Blood orange vodka, passion fruit nectar, aperol, elderflower liqueur, lime juice, thyme simple syrup topped with citrus foam & dried rose petals). The east meets west was really good, and the basil really complemented the mezcal in an unexpected way. The main squeeze was also really delicious and tasted like candy, except for a perplexing smokey aftertaste that we couldn't quite figure out. Overall though some very creative and potent cocktails that we definitely want to come back and try more of! My only issue was with how slow the service at the bar in the front was. I feel like those two cocktails shouldn't have taken 15 minutes to prepare (not an exaggeration). Maybe this is an issue with understaffing?

So let's dive into the great and the questionable. The Great: Service, ambiance and food quality - they rotate the menu every month depending on the freshest ingredients and build a menu to honor and respect the Japanese cuisine. Truly a beautiful journey on each curated plate. Since they rotate out the menu what I tasted today will change so I won't go into each detail of the dish. The questionable: This is purely personal and from my perspective, please go and try this place out regardless. The booking is relatively easy on line through tock, the cost on the counter is $200 pp they will take on the 20% service fee so you can go and enjoy without having to think about the bill - which is nice ! But to me it's a bit non personal- I prefer to tip at the end depending on my experience as a whole. This is purely my preference as I do overtip. I ordered a drink as I didn't pre book the drink experience because I had a minor with me. Then I felt that I should overtip which I did when I paid for the drink. Let's talk about the menu- the food was truly amazing especially the ingredients but maybe it was this set of menu. It was composed of more soup/wet dishes than I would have liked. Perhaps August menu would be different. Overall I gave it 5 stars because I believed they uphold the traditional kaiseki tradition and respected each element presented. I will be coming back for the winter menu to see what they can create next!
