I love old fields and think this place is fabulous. The inside is so beautiful and the food is incredible. The service is also very fast! I would recommend the entire menu. I've been coming here for years but I can tell you the burnt end ribs are my family's favorite along with the French fries, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and sweet potato mash. 4.25 Solid choice if you're in the area and you're in the mood for some good BBQ. Love how on a nice day like this past Saturday, they have the garage door opened to welcome you into the bar area. The decor has that rustic, barn/Americana feel to it with their wood tables and artwork. It is just a bit dark in the back though where the counter is to order your food before you sit. The staff is friendly. The person behind the counter was really helpful when we were ordering and even suggested not to order too much because we could always order more. The waiter later was also really helpful and actually sold me a cocktail (something I never really get). Food wise, we got the half rack of ribs, chorizo, brisket and burnt end ribs. We also got the mac & cheese, cole slaw, fries, onion rings, spicy feta dip, cornbread and they had a special of Mexican street corn. The sides were all really good. I just wished that they gave a bit more, but they are priced reasonably for what you're getting. Each of these were really good. Why not give this place a 5 then? I took a point away because unfortunately, the brisket was really dry and burnt end ribs were something I probably would not want to order again. Meat was a bit too dry for me but a good place for a hangout. It's casual and the food is pretty agreeable amongst large groups. I will say the beans were very ketchupy, the soda was very watered down, but the ribs have a really nice sauce and my group seemed to really enjoy the place. The mac and cheese was reliably good, and my picky son who is a self-proclaimed mac and cheese expert approved of it! The cornbread loaf wasn't much to look at but it was moist and delicious with little delicious bites of corn inside. Collards and creamed spinach were both good, though not memorable. Sometimes these dishes are made too salty for my taste, but I found their versions to be just flavorful enough without being overly salty. The vibe is casual and comfortable, in a dimly lit dining atmosphere. The bathrooms were clean when we went, which is also a random plus for me. When we went my boyfriend and I got pulled pork, burnt end ribs, and a side order of macaroni and cheese. The prices were honestly ridiculous for the amount of food we received. The "Texas style" pulled pork was $13. For this price I thought it might come with a bun to make a slider, but it was just a tiny lump of very fatty pork slapped down in the middle of a metal tray. The burnt end ribs were a little too tough inside, despite being smothered in sauce. The mac and cheese sauce was too runny for me, and it was served in a tiny dish smaller than my palm despite being $8. The food experience is probably better if you order more, but we really didn't think the amount and quality of what we got was worth the price. read more

Server will bring you drinks but then they expect gratuity on the whole bill when you've done half the work. Not the greatest system. Then the waitstaff greets you with a smile . 8n purchase we were fortunate enough to meet the most delightful young lady Eleanor who was an absolute ray of sunshine. She took our drink order and recommended the mango jalapeño margaritas and said they could make it even hotter if we would like which we did and wow they were delicious. Now onto the star of the show the food. We ordered a 1/2 of a smoked chicken, brisket, 1/2 rack of ribs, collard greens with pork and coleslaw. When we parked the car on the side street as soon as we got out we smelled the incredible scent of bbq wafting through the downtown Huntington air and we knew we were in for a delight.
