Very good bbq and highly recommend! Came here before but this time it was a better experience. New food options and the bbq in my opinion has gotten better.

I love old fields and think this place is fabulous. The inside is so beautiful and the food is incredible. The service is also very fast! I would recommend the entire menu. I've been coming here for years but I can tell you the burnt end ribs are my family's favorite along with the French fries, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and sweet potato mash. We also love their cornbread, pulled pork and pulled chicken. Would recommend for takeout or sitting down!

This is based on takeout for an event and everything lack flavor (really need the bbq sauce). It was also dry unless you got a good peice of the fatty part of the brisket. We had the smoked chicken, brisket, and ribs. It might be different in the place fresh but it didnt live up to the hype. I wasn't expecting hometown bbq in red hook good but come on... Again, my review is based on takeout.

Not the biggest fan of BBQ but still wanted to try this spot out in Huntington Village. At first I was not sure it was the restaurant because I walked in and it had a bar but there is a sign that says "Head to the back, place your order then grab a table". This was different from other BBQ places I went to in Texas where you get the food right at the counter instead of waiting. Brisket 1/2 pound($16)- Pretty tender but was dry to me, luckily the sauces they had were good Chorizo sausage($6)- Was probably my favorite thing that was ordered, it had a lot of flavor and was still juicy Beer Battered Onion Rings($6)- Had decent crisp and flavor, wish it had a dipping sauce to go along with it Collard Greens($5)- Was cooked pretty well with decent flavor from the added chorizo Pickles($2)- Basic full sour pickle wedges Cornbread($6)- Moist and held its shape when eaten Overall the place has a nice sit down vibe which I enjoyed but the food/price did not meet my expectations. Hopefully they just had an off night Visited May 2025 Food- 6/10 Cleanliness- 8/10 Staff- 9/10

This. place. is. BOMB. Came here for dinner the other day before watching a show at the Paramount theater down the street. Ordering is nice and simple. Just go to the counter and ask for what you want and they give you a number and deliver the food to whichever table you decide to sit at. Food is absolutely delicious. The beef brisket was tender, moist, and juicy. Some of the best I've ever had. I also got the quarter of roast chicken which was bursting with flavor and also tender and juicy. They also got a bunch of their own sauces on the table for you to try. The peach habanero was my favorite. It is the perfect blend of not too spicy and not too sweet. Highly recommend it. Bring your friends, bring your family. You wont be disappointed!

Happened to be in the neighborhood and this was place recommended to me. It had a bar in the front and in the back is where you order with a seating area. I ordered the brisket and baby back ribs with corn bread. They were delicious. It was juicy and the meat fell off the bone on the ribs. Brisket was not dry.

Yummy food in a rustic location. The counter style ordering makes it easy to split checks with a large group. The food is so tasty and the price is good for the size.

This spot is within a few minutes of walking distance from The Paramount. Looking for some grubbin' good eats, we decided on some good ole BBQ. We didn't quite know how to order and the girl at the cashier was very patient in explaining everything. As much as I love brisket I decided not to get it due to lots of mixed reviews. Here is what we ordered: - Corn Beef - Sausage - Ribs Ribs can be a hit or miss but when it hits, it SLAPS!! Omg, it was so tender and juicy!! As was the corn beef. Lots of sides to choose from and it was hard deciding but settled on some collard greens, fried onion rings, coleslaw and corn on the cob. Our party of six all couldn't get enough of the corn bread. One order is enough to feed 3-4 people. Get this. Service all-around is an A+.

Buttermilk Fried Chicken Half Rack of Ribs (6 Ribs) Cornbread Creamed Spinach Red Skin Mashed Potato

We stopped by after a long day out and craving some good BBQ. And even though it was a bit out of our way, it was absolutely worth the detour. We ordered the red-skinned mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, cornbread, half rack of ribs, and the buttermilk fried chicken. Every single thing was delicious. The mashed potatoes and spinach were so flavorful, we actually ended up ordering a second round of the potatoes. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Perfect. And the ribs? Fall-off-the-bone tender with amazing flavor. We instantly regretted not going for the full rack. Though, truthfully, we were way too full by the end to eat another bite. We also tried two of their cocktails. Can't remember the names, but both were refreshing and hit the spot, especially on the hot day we visited. The staff was friendly and attentive from start to finish, and the atmosphere inside was just as impressive as the food. Cool, dark, and relaxing. It almost felt like we were transported somewhere else for a bit. Loved the vibe. Can't wait to go back!

One of my favorite BBQ spots on Long Island! Old Fields Barbecue used to be close to my home but they closed up shop during COVID. My wife works close to this location, I like to choose this spot to meet up for dinner. Ordering is easy peasy! Walk up to the counter, place your order and grab any seat. No frills or table clothes needed, just a roll of paper towels to get into some Que! We pretty much tried the entire menu, the brisket is thicc, the pulled pork has a great flavor and the ribs are meaty. I also love their homemade sausages, I'll usually get one or two links for my wife & I to share. Overall, one of my favorite BBQ spots on Long Island

You walk up to the counter and order your food. Then grab a seat and they bring it to you. No frills, just good ole bbq. We did the ribs and the brisket and both were perfection. The fries were ok, we could've done without it. The peach habanero bbq sauce is just the right amount of kick. Tastes like Texas!

4.25 Solid choice if you're in the area and you're in the mood for some good BBQ. Love how on a nice day like this past Saturday, they have the garage door opened to welcome you into the bar area. The decor has that rustic, barn/Americana feel to it with their wood tables and artwork. It is just a bit dark in the back though where the counter is to order your food before you sit. The staff is friendly. The person behind the counter was really helpful when we were ordering and even suggested not to order too much because we could always order more. The waiter later was also really helpful and actually sold me a cocktail (something I never really get). Food wise, we got the half rack of ribs, chorizo, brisket and burnt end ribs. We also got the mac & cheese, cole slaw, fries, onion rings, spicy feta dip, cornbread and they had a special of Mexican street corn. The sides were all really good. I just wished that they gave a bit more, but they are priced reasonably for what you're getting. Each of these were really good. Why not give this place a 5 then? I took a point away because unfortunately, the brisket was really dry and burnt end ribs were something I probably would not want to order again. I'm never really in this area, but if I were, I'd definitely come back for some more food.

One of my favorite spots for bbq in Huntington. The service is always great, whether I'm ordering for pick up, delivery, or dining in, it's always great. The restaurant is usually clean and has great music. Perfect place for family, friends and solo dates. My favorite is the Buttermilk Fried Chicken sandwich!

Is this a good place for single 30-something's to meet and mingle?

Absolutely! Atmosphere is rustic and comfortable. Great large bar and plenty of space to mingle. The drinks are delicious with local beers and craft cocktails. The food is great too! Plus they play great music.

The place itself is very nice and has a cool feel to it. It goes really far back and has two bars, with a little stage in the middle for local musicians and performers. In terms of the drinks they serve, they have a lot of good canned craft beer options (not sure what's on tap), that are served in a nice chilled glass. Their cocktails are very creative and taste delicious. My friends got an East meets West (Mezcal, mango puree, fresh lemon, basil simple syrup with tajin chili salt rim & basil leaf) and a Main Squeeze (Blood orange vodka, passion fruit nectar, aperol, elderflower liqueur, lime juice, thyme simple syrup topped with citrus foam & dried rose petals). The east meets west was really good, and the basil really complemented the mezcal in an unexpected way. The main squeeze was also really delicious and tasted like candy, except for a perplexing smokey aftertaste that we couldn't quite figure out. Overall though some very creative and potent cocktails that we definitely want to come back and try more of! My only issue was with how slow the service at the bar in the front was. I feel like those two cocktails shouldn't have taken 15 minutes to prepare (not an exaggeration). Maybe this is an issue with understaffing?

This place was a slice of pure sushi nirvana! If you're a…read moresushi aficionado like me, you've probably chased that elusive omakase experience where every bite feels like a revelation--fresh, innovative, and deeply respectful of tradition. House of Yoshin really delivered that. From the moment I stepped into this intimate, dimly lit haven on a crisp November evening, I knew I'd found a gem. We sat at the bar to wait for the preparations of the omakase table. They have a lot of interesting cocktails. Paloma is a must try. We kicked off with the Sake-Poached Oyster with Ponzu, a delicate opener that set the tone for elegance. The oyster, sourced that morning from pristine waters, arrived plump and silky, gently poached in sake until it surrendered its natural sweetness without losing its oceanic snap. A drizzle of citrusy ponzu cut through just enough, while flecks of menma (fermented bamboo) added a whisper of umami crunch. It was like the sea whispering secrets--light, refreshing, and utterly addictive. I could have stopped here and been happy, but oh no, the parade had just begun. The Chilean sea bass was also a hit. Soft, tender, and flavorful. Every bite was a joy As we prepared for the nigiri, the staff offered us sake pairings with each one. They really knew which ones paired best with each piece. When the sashimi came out, it was practically a love letter to the sea. The Tai (red snapper) sashimi was feather-light, its translucent slices fanning out like rose petals, dressed simply with soy and ginger to let the clean, sweet flesh shine. Then came the Amberjack (Kanpachi), lean and velvety, with a faint wasabi kick that made my eyes water in the best way. Striped Bass (Suzuki) brought a firmer texture, almost melon-like in its subtle sweetness, while the Golden Eye Snapper (Kawahagi) was a revelation--tiny, jewel-like cubes that melted faster than snow, with a hint of sea salt crystals for that perfect salinity pop. One of my favorites was the Ootoro. The texture was literally perfect and the piece just melted in your mouth. It was delightful. I also enjoyed the tune belly hand roll and te Uni Ukura Don. Just when I thought I couldn't take another bite, dessert arrived: Green Tea Creme Brulee. This wasn't your standard custard; it was a silky, matcha-infused cloud, torched tableside for that satisfying crackle. The bitter-earthy notes of premium matcha played against the caramelized sugar like yin and yang, with a hidden layer of white chocolate ganache for subtle sweetness. If you are considering this place, book it now! Five stars aren't enough; this place deserves a constellation.

Since it was the end of the evening, they only did the smoked enclosed glass presentation for two of the drinks, joking that we were probably over it for the third. That was a bit disappointing, but understandable given it was closing time. I'd love to come back and try their omakase.
