Been eating here for years, never a bad meal, the way bbq should be, stop by or get delivered (this food travels well) Ribs are fantastic, chorizo great, burnt end baked beans are off the charts I can go on and on, go see for yourself, you won't be disappointed! read more

Traditional style BBQ joint. I thought the quality of the food was really good. Mac and cheese is definitely cheesy. Corn bread is huge, perfect for sharing. Ribs were cooked perfectly, practically falling off the bone. Brisket was cooked nicely as well. I didnt realize 1/2 lb of brisket was only 2 pieces, so if you're planning on sharing, consider ordering 1lb. The pulled chicken was good - it had a lot of flavor, maybe too much for me, but overall delicious. It is counter service, casual ambiance and has a nice bar in the front. Definitely will be back! read more

Excellent restaurant!! Nothing fancy, but fantastic food served by great people in a full service restaurant. Meats were all outstanding, tender, moist and full of flavor. Sides were also outstanding with veggies tasting fresh and crisp and starches warm and delicious. Service is handled by what appears to be a large family. Our waiter was super accommodating and friendly even though the restaurant was slammed. This describes everyone who came to our table. Best experience top to bottom in quite a while. Highly recommended!!! read more

The food was delicious! I will there had been a bit more greens in the collard greens, but the different sauces were very nice with tender ribs. The mashed potatoes were my favorite and the cocktail was a nice amount of sweetness. read more

I love old fields and think this place is fabulous. The inside is so beautiful and the food is incredible. The service is also very fast! I would recommend the entire menu. I've been coming here for years but I can tell you the burnt end ribs are my family's favorite along with the French fries, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and sweet potato mash. We also love their cornbread, pulled pork and pulled chicken. Would recommend for takeout or sitting down! read more

This is based on takeout for an event and everything lack flavor (really need the bbq sauce). It was also dry unless you got a good peice of the fatty part of the brisket. We had the smoked chicken, brisket, and ribs. It might be different in the place fresh but it didnt live up to the hype. I wasn't expecting hometown bbq in red hook good but come on... Again, my review is based on takeout. read more

Not the biggest fan of BBQ but still wanted to try this spot out in Huntington Village. At first I was not sure it was the restaurant because I walked in and it had a bar but there is a sign that says "Head to the back, place your order then grab a table". This was different from other BBQ places I went to in Texas where you get the food right at the counter instead of waiting. Brisket 1/2 pound($16)- Pretty tender but was dry to me, luckily the sauces they had were good Chorizo sausage($6)- Was probably my favorite thing that was ordered, it had a lot of flavor and was still juicy Beer Battered Onion Rings($6)- Had decent crisp and flavor, wish it had a dipping sauce to go along with it Collard Greens($5)- Was cooked pretty well with decent flavor from the added chorizo Pickles($2)- Basic full sour pickle wedges Cornbread($6)- Moist and held its shape when eaten Overall the place has a nice sit down vibe which I enjoyed but the food/price did not meet my expectations. Hopefully they just had an off night Visited May 2025 Food- 6/10 Cleanliness- 8/10 Staff- 9/10 read more

This. place. is. BOMB. Came here for dinner the other day before watching a show at the Paramount theater down the street. Ordering is nice and simple. Just go to the counter and ask for what you want and they give you a number and deliver the food to whichever table you decide to sit at. Food is absolutely delicious. The beef brisket was tender, moist, and juicy. Some of the best I've ever had. I also got the quarter of roast chicken which was bursting with flavor and also tender and juicy. They also got a bunch of their own sauces on the table for you to try. The peach habanero was my favorite. It is the perfect blend of not too spicy and not too sweet. Highly recommend it. Bring your friends, bring your family. You wont be disappointed! read more

Happened to be in the neighborhood and this was place recommended to me. It had a bar in the front and in the back is where you order with a seating area. I ordered the brisket and baby back ribs with corn bread. They were delicious. It was juicy and the meat fell off the bone on the ribs. Brisket was not dry. read more

This spot is within a few minutes of walking distance from The Paramount. Looking for some grubbin' good eats, we decided on some good ole BBQ. We didn't quite know how to order and the girl at the cashier was very patient in explaining everything. As much as I love brisket I decided not to get it due to lots of mixed reviews. Here is what we ordered: - Corn Beef - Sausage - Ribs Ribs can be a hit or miss but when it hits, it SLAPS!! Omg, it was so tender and juicy!! As was the corn beef. Lots of sides to choose from and it was hard deciding but settled on some collard greens, fried onion rings, coleslaw and corn on the cob. Our party of six all couldn't get enough of the corn bread. One order is enough to feed 3-4 people. Get this. Service all-around is an A+. read more

Had this saved for awhile I had no idea you go order at the counter and I was like table for 3! Definitely want to come back here. Good casual dinner if in the area. read more

Food was really good service wasn't that great roads were a little dry, but other than that everything else was great

Meat was a bit too dry for me but a good place for a hangout. It's casual and the food is pretty agreeable amongst large groups. I will say the beans were very ketchupy, the soda was very watered down, but the ribs have a really nice sauce and my group seemed to really enjoy the place. Our waiter messed up a few times but nothing bad at all but she was so apologetic and very sweet. She gave us free beer for the hiccup which wasn't necessary but it goes to show they're good people! read more

One of my favorite BBQ spots on Long Island! Old Fields Barbecue used to be close to my home but they closed up shop during COVID. My wife works close to this location, I like to choose this spot to meet up for dinner. Ordering is easy peasy! Walk up to the counter, place your order and grab any seat. No frills or table clothes needed, just a roll of paper towels to get into some Que! We pretty much tried the entire menu, the brisket is thicc, the pulled pork has a great flavor and the ribs are meaty. I also love their homemade sausages, I'll usually get one or two links for my wife & I to share. Overall, one of my favorite BBQ spots on Long Island read more

We stopped by after a long day out and craving some good BBQ. And even though it was a bit out of our way, it was absolutely worth the detour. We ordered the red-skinned mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, cornbread, half rack of ribs, and the buttermilk fried chicken. Every single thing was delicious. The mashed potatoes and spinach were so flavorful, we actually ended up ordering a second round of the potatoes. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Perfect. And the ribs? Fall-off-the-bone tender with amazing flavor. We instantly regretted not going for the full rack. Though, truthfully, we were way too full by the end to eat another bite. We also tried two of their cocktails. Can't remember the names, but both were refreshing and hit the spot, especially on the hot day we visited. The staff was friendly and attentive from start to finish, and the atmosphere inside was just as impressive as the food. Cool, dark, and relaxing. It almost felt like we were transported somewhere else for a bit. Loved the vibe. Can't wait to go back! read more

our waitress was amazing here! so attentive, suggested jalapeño watermelon margarita, so good!! we ordered brisket that was really yummy but more on the dry side, their sauces saved the day, for this, my favorite was peach harbanero! sides are small but delicious, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and the guacamole all 10/10 outdoor seating available (this is where we sat) took my dog and was treated like A prince, outdoor speakers and good music, will go back. read more

4.25 Solid choice if you're in the area and you're in the mood for some good BBQ. Love how on a nice day like this past Saturday, they have the garage door opened to welcome you into the bar area. The decor has that rustic, barn/Americana feel to it with their wood tables and artwork. It is just a bit dark in the back though where the counter is to order your food before you sit. The staff is friendly. The person behind the counter was really helpful when we were ordering and even suggested not to order too much because we could always order more. The waiter later was also really helpful and actually sold me a cocktail (something I never really get). Food wise, we got the half rack of ribs, chorizo, brisket and burnt end ribs. We also got the mac & cheese, cole slaw, fries, onion rings, spicy feta dip, cornbread and they had a special of Mexican street corn. The sides were all really good. I just wished that they gave a bit more, but they are priced reasonably for what you're getting. Each of these were really good. Why not give this place a 5 then? I took a point away because unfortunately, the brisket was really dry and burnt end ribs were something I probably would not want to order again. I'm never really in this area, but if I were, I'd definitely come back for some more food. read more

WOW! It was Father's Day and hubby picked this restaurant. I 9 times out of 10 do not like BBQ! But maybe I was eating it all wrong! This place turned me around to the BBQ world! It was crazy good! I can not wait to go back, I want more of the ribs! When you go, do yourself a favor and get at least 2 wonders is the rib! And do not skip on the bacon! Get it! What an amazing Friday night dinner with family. We had a moderately large group(8), they had plenty of seating. We were a bit confused about the self order at the counter- then sit- then server takes drink order, mini tray plates. But after that everyhting moved as a regular sit down restaurant. The food was so amazing tender/juicy meats, fresh sides, generoua array of BBQ sauces at table, delicious strong cocktails. Ribs, Brisket(lil dry), Pulled pork, fries, mashed potatoes, sweet potato mash, mac&cheese, broccoli, creamed spinach!! I forgot the drink names. Our server Gabby was so wonderful to us, patient with all questions and requests. Chef/Owner took time to chat with us about the banana bourbon infusion, Awesome guy. Rave reviews from the group, must return!! read more

I was hanging out in the area and saw this BBQ spot and decided to get a quick filling meal. The atmosphere inside is super cool and unique, the interior design definitely matches the description of the restaurant. To order you go up to the counter and order what you want, you'll get a number tag to bring to whichever table you'd like and the servers will come out and serve you! This was my first time but i was highly impressed! The brisket was juicy and falling apart, the ribs were smokey and delicious. The mac and cheese was super cheesy. Walking in, the setting and ambiance was chill and welcoming. Staff and service were professional and so nice! The food, however, left something to be desired. Their sides (mac and cheese, coleslaw, fries) were the highlights. Pork ribs fell off the bone, and were the best "meat" Dish we got. The pulled pork was unfortunately dry and chewy. The chicken was even drier, and both had to be slathered in their sauces (all pretty solid) to eat through. All in all, i did not hate the place, but it did have some disappointing moments. Would not mind giving it another try, and ordering some of the other options on the menu read more

Old Fields Barbecue - Coleslaw, Mac & Cheese, French Fries, Half Rack of Ribs (6 Ribs), 1/2 Smoked Chicken, Pulled Pork (1/2 lb.) - Barbeque Near Me - Huntington, New York

Food: everything was very good! I feel like a lot of bbq places have great mains but really subpar sides. This place had really good everything. We tried pulled chicken and pulled pork (flavorful and tender), burnt end ribs (fall of the bone with Korean glaze), the collards had different types of meat and tasted like it had some great combo of sugar and vinegar, the green beans were crunchy and flavorful, the cornbread was to die for, and the brussel sprouts salad was refreshing! Now I wouldn't say it was the healthiest meal but it definitely hit the spot lol! Service: all the staff members were extremely nice and attentive. Ambiance: we brought our daughter and there were a lot of families around us so it was very comfortable and family friendly. There was also a bar area. Drinks: the two drinks we tried were also good. I'll definitely be back. I kind of want to try everything now! Hahaha read more

LOTS OF MEAT. Delicious sides. Old Fields has some solid BBQ, for Long Island. We had the Brisket, which was extremely tender but falling apart a bit - almost like pulled pork consistency which I wasn't expecting for brisket. We also ordered the ribs, which were okay, but not exceptionally memorable in my opinion. We did really enjoy all the sides. The mac and cheese was reliably good, and my picky son who is a self-proclaimed mac and cheese expert approved of it! The cornbread loaf wasn't much to look at but it was moist and delicious with little delicious bites of corn inside. Collards and creamed spinach were both good, though not memorable. Sometimes these dishes are made too salty for my taste, but I found their versions to be just flavorful enough without being overly salty. The vibe is casual and comfortable, in a dimly lit dining atmosphere. The bathrooms were clean when we went, which is also a random plus for me. We went during a non-peak time, but I'd return again if I'm ever in the area and in the mood for BBQ! read more

It looks nice inside, and the order setup is interesting. You enter near the bar and have to walk all the way back to a deli counter to order food. When we went my boyfriend and I got pulled pork, burnt end ribs, and a side order of macaroni and cheese. The prices were honestly ridiculous for the amount of food we received. The "Texas style" pulled pork was $13. For this price I thought it might come with a bun to make a slider, but it was just a tiny lump of very fatty pork slapped down in the middle of a metal tray. The burnt end ribs were a little too tough inside, despite being smothered in sauce. The mac and cheese sauce was too runny for me, and it was served in a tiny dish smaller than my palm despite being $8. The food experience is probably better if you order more, but we really didn't think the amount and quality of what we got was worth the price. read more

This BBQ joint remains high on my list for a great night and a great experience. The food is outstanding...the service friendly! The Brisket is mouth watering and the sauces delicious. The restaurant itself is clean and adds to the whole vibe of the place! I loved everything except.....the pickles. I'm a huge pickle fan and this time around they just tasted a bit too sour. So good! Love the setup too. You order at the counter, pick a table, and they bring the food out to you. Yes, not a new concept, but it's very restaurant style for a "food court" type system. We had the brisket, ribs, mac and cheese and they were all so good. Tender, flavorful, just what classic barbecue should be without all the gimmicky frills. Great service, everyone was super nice and the place was clean. Of all the choices in Huntington, this is definitely a stand out.
