It's the same as all the other Shed restaurants. Came for lunch with a friend, we each got a burger and a cocktail. We walked in with no reservation during the week at about 3 pm and sat no problem. The burgers and sandwich's are all à la carte so if you want fries you need to add. We shared regular fries and sweet potato, both were great. Same with our burgers, cooked perfectly to order and really tasty! Really cute, chic, little place for a quick easy bite that has casual food elevated. read more

Arrived on a Saturday morning in the summer around 10:30am and it was pretty busy, but there were a lot of tables outside, so I was able to get seated immediately. It's honestly really nice sitting outside, and the tables are more spaced out. I also like that there's a putting green in the back, which is a cute activity to do after your meal. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. I got the pancakes and added berries ($1.50) as well as a side of fries which were delicious and crispy. The portions here are huge, so we got to take home leftovers. The bathrooms are also clean (ladies room had two stalls) and the servers are nice. I would def return! read more

I cannot believe that I never wrote a review for this restaurant. This is my go-to brunch spot. However, I love their lunch and dinner too.The food is always delicious, the drinks are refreshing. The presentation of the food, the atmosphere, and the service are exactly what I am looking for, for a relaxing brunch, lunch, or dinner. The prices aren't outrageous either. I have had almost everything on the menu, and am consistently happy with my dishes. My ultimate favorite is the shed bowl. I ordered that this time around with my friend. She ordered the shegg sandwhich and really enjoyed it. The only downside side is that they don't take reservations unless you are a larger party. I've been wanting to try out The Shed for a while, and I'm glad I finally did. They told us the wait was 30 minutes, but it was more like 10-15 minutes. There were a few things that prompted this 3 star review. Overall, the vibe is nice and cozy, they have a bar area in the back and tables in the front and on the side. Service was not great. We noticed our waitress was obviously friendlier with the other tables beside us, chatty and having small talk with her other tables, but when she came to us, she seemed quick and not very friendly. In addition, she took away my plate when I wasn't even finished eating our shared appetizer, the pork belly. I was so shocked she didn't even ask me if I was done eating, but she asked my other friends if they were done. Because of that, I ended up eating without a plate for the rest of the food that we didn't finish yet, which was not convenient at all. The food was mid honestly. The pork belly wasn't overcooked but it was pretty lean and almost no fatty at all. I had the Biscuit Benedict with the salmon, and my friends had the steak medium rare. Maybe the steak was better, but the biscuit Benedict (was huge, so I didn't finish) was just fine. Nothing special. I'm happy I tried this place out, but not sure that I would come back. It was a little tuff to find this restaurant but boy it was worth it. Excellent food and really excellent service. I had the Chopped Cobb Salad- it was delicious and very large, brought more than half home. My spouse had an incredible roast beef dip on a roll with cheddar,fried onions and horseradish also brought halh home. My buddy had the BLT which he really enjoyed and also brought half home. When I arrived there was a 20-25 minute wait for 2 so we sat at the bar. The server was very attentive. The ambiance was contemporary with nice are work on the walls. I ordered the Backyard Burger. It was delicious! I was hungry and ate it all! It had the perfect seasoning and toppings for an excellent taste! Shout out to the chef for a great recipe! It didn't come with fries and the server made sure I knew while I was ordering. That was thoughtful and nice. I decided to take it as is with the coleslaw and pickle. That was a great choice because the fries would have made me too full. In retrospect, the sides that came with my burger were a healthier assistance and I'm grateful for that. I got the salmon on a bed of corn, peas, shallots and spinach with a honey mustard vinaigrette My friend got the shed bowl with steak and replaced goat cheese with feta cheese I absolutely love the salmon entree at The Shed because they ask how you like it cooked. I always prefer this because if it's anything over medium, it feels overcooked and dry to me. I won't get salmon anywhere else! My waiter suggested putting the sauce on the side, which I appreciated that suggestion. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a nice crisp on top. Very few places have I ever seen serve deviled eggs. I must say while these were soft and flavorful they were not ones that stand out above the rest. Though don't get me wrong the rest of the food was impressive! Steakhouse burger - cooked to the perfect temperature requested and construction of the burger executed immaculately! Not a thing was misplaced. Nothing overflowing or missing. The blue cheese was a nice thin layer giving the burger a great little funk. The house steak sauce could have been more pronounced but the crispy onion really brought it together. The bowl, surprisingly large! Great amount of all elements. First time here, the ambience and food was what drew us to eat here. The Shed is located in a new modern designed shopping plaza. The inside is clean, bright and modern with a feel good atmosphere to hang out and enjoy food. The workers were pleasant and polite. The food itself was outstanding. The waffles were probably one of the best flavored waffles I've had. Chicken was good but possibly dark meat would have been juicier. We were gifted a gift card to go to one of the Shed restaurants when we were living in Long Island two years ago. Back then, we couldn't take out the time to go. Since we were in the island for a friend's wedding; we decided it was the perfect time to have Brunch and use our gift card before heading home. Plainview just happens to be the closest one on our route back. They do not take reservation, but lucky for us the wait time was not long. It took us less than 10 mins to get a table. Very friendly staff, and we noticed it is a go to Sunday Brunch spot due to the line when we were done. Everything that we got was extremely delicious. Imagine... I cannot have spicy food due to my low tolerance but this wings were "worth eating them." Our sever Steph recommended my drink "The tropical Cooler" which I appreciate, since it was delicious, loved the taste of the passion fruit on this drink. It's a good place for brunch, trendy, nice interior, has outdoor seating (saw some blankets which is nice for colder weather) but I don't think it's worth the hype. More likely than not, there will be a wait. While there's a decent amount of tables not nearly enough for the amount of people coming to dine, reservations, no joining the waitlist early. I feel like if you were allowed to join a waitlist in advance it'd be nice. But you're willing to wait for average brunch food then you'll prob like this place. The question I've had the two times I ate here with my friends: where is the salt and where is the flavor? The parking situation is a bit chaotic during brunch time but once you get a spot and come in, there's a team of staff ready to greet you at the door. Our server was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. The food... OMG... The Food was absolutely delicious! Both my husband and I got an order of their southern style biscuits with butter and berry jam, SO GOOD! Along with their steak and eggs which was cooked perfectly to our liking. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, the home fries were some of the best I've ever had, just needed a little bit of salt/pepper and the dressed greens had a perfect blend of peppers, onions and vinaigrette. The hollandaise sauce was a perfect accompaniment to the whole dish! Very delicious After we paid the check which was about $130 bucks for a beer, a cocktail, biscuits and two entrees, we were again greeted by the staff at the door and was thanked for our patronage. The shed Plainview offered a great hospitable experience that left us extremely full and happy. Came here on a weekday for lunch. It was nice that they serve brunch everyday. They have outdoor seating and we opted to sit outside to enjoy the sun and good food. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles which came with a side of hot habanero honey. I appreciated them bringing a bottle of maple syrup which was warm and not straight from the fridge. The waffles were fluffy on the inside and a little crisp on the outside. Fried chicken was fried perfectly and paired perfectly with the hot honey drizzled. Service was amazing and attentive. Beyond impressed! I tend to prefer trying restaurants in Manhattan, Queens, or Brooklyn... But after eating at The Shed (Plainview) a while back, I'm hooked. We don't have a Shed in Queens, so I'm always finding reasons to get out to LI, and visit The Shed. Really nice spot, easy parking, EV chargers right there, and way less hassle compared to going out to spots here in Queens or Manhattan. I don't know where to begin. ALL DAY BRUNCH has become a bit of an addiction. Their pancakes & french toast are always worth the trip. And don't get me started on the biscuits. I normally go to restaurants and get the same one or two meals every time, but eating here, I've been trying more of the menu each time, and haven't been disappointed yet. Last time I was here, I tried the Shed Bowl, and shared some fries & fried pickles with friends. Apparently I made it to 2025 without realizing how good fried pickles are. One more reason to go back. Also on this last visit, one of the managers (Rick) took extra time to make sure we were all happy, provided us wine service, and it was all really impressive.
