My family and I came here the other night. It was quite crowded and small. A very petite place. They have a nice little bar and some tvs on. They also had a live singer, it was a little loud so you couldn't hear each other and couldn't see due to it being very dark inside. But it was a vibe. We ordered the Spanish flatbread which was good. Also the truffle fries. The truffle fries came with a lemon aioli which was absolutely amazing. They also make homemade honey mustard which was also so good. It was a nice little spot but definitely more for couples than families as most of the portions are for 2. Or they give out small plates with only (2) on it. read more

Another hidden gem that adds to the unique Huntington experience. A friend and I wanted a bite to eat after getting out of our shift at a local restaurant. Bar Petite had a full menu until 12, live music and rave reviews. A restaurant offering more than late night bar food after 10pm is rare. We started with the orange wings which as the menu stated are a must, loved the zest. We got the burger which could have been cooked a bit less but that wasn't an issue because the truffle fries were incredible. The tuna tartar was fresh and spicy. The low lit ambience of this intimate restaurant is one to be desired. Alexa our server was informative and helpful. Check this one out you won't be disappointed. read more

Great food options. Amazing tapas. I only wish this place was bigger. The burnt ends in the sashimi tuna were excellent choices.

Absolutely love this little bar. You have to go when they have live music. Their musicians are so talented. The vibe is perfect for hanging out with friends. The drinks are good and the food is pretty good for bar food. Definitely not a dinner place, but apps and drinks are great. read more

Great place what can I say. One day early last spring I was searching for a place I could make traditional Gibson I called bar after bar I hit on this bar. He said absolutely it's a regular stop now every couple of weeks. The staff and the music are great and the food is really good quality on top of that late kitchen! read more

Cute tapas style eating. The drinks here are especially good and we sat outside to eat and enjoyed a nice summer evening. Not a ton of vegetarian options, but the flatbread was good. read more

This place is amazing. My wife and I were at least 15 minute late for our reservation (sorry, again!) and they STILL had a table waiting for us. If you've seen the space you'll understand how impressive that is. The food was out of this world. All of it. The staff is super friendly and more than accommodating. The live music tonight was also incredible. If you haven't checked this place out yet then you should stop doing that to yourself and enjoy truly fantastic food. read more

Stopped in for drinks off a promising menu, but as soon as we walked in, it smelled like a dive bar. Seemed like they had usual local crowd, but the drinks were watered down and overpriced. Two cocktails, including a pretty basic whiskey were about $40. My wife ordered a cocktail that was a bad mix of bitters and didn't have much alcohol. We passed on food after noticing a cheese board was more than $30. read more

Great vibe and live music. Drinks are on point and bar tender accommodates. We loved the street corn and Thai burnt ends. Love this spot.

First time at Bar Petite was a great experience. Greeted warmly by Kate to a cozy atmosphere. Nice cocktail options, had the Bees Knees which was perfect for a hot summer night. I love a small plate menu so you can try many options, which the 3 of us did. Started with an Italian board. The truffle cheese and fig jam were exceptional (forgot to take a pic). Then the fun began. We had truffle fries (with 2 dipping sauces) vegetable flatbread pizza with a crunchy crust which I love, fire roasted artichokes so flavorful with roasted tomatoes, pan seared potstickers with a soy ginger dipping sauce, delish, Cajun shrimp had a nice kick and beef ravioli with a Marsala mushroom sauce( not the typical version) which for me was the outstanding dish. What I love is they made 2 piece plates 3 pieces so each one in our party can have their own (for an extra cost of course). Kate our server was extremely delightful and accommodating. They have music most nights which just added to the lovely ambiance. They also have outdoor seating and a parking lot on the side. Bar Petite might be petite but their flavors are Grande!! read more

I went on a Thursday during happy hour with a girlfriend of mine and was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp burger and the wedge salad were amazing not to mention the price was very reasonable. Friday night- unusually warm for the first evening of November- sat outside. Happy to get a table with no reservation. small plates were very good and the burger was a messy, gooey, yummy treat. I also loved the bacon wrapped apricots with gorgonzola and arugala. Not a fan of the Spanish flatbread. The crust had no chew. More like a wonton. The music was great and the service was quick. Definitely returning. read more

Great little place. Bartender, servers and owner genuinely care about their customers. Food offerings are really good.

I've been coming to bar petite for a while now and it is hands down the best tasting food in Huntington. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever, the drinks are perfect and so is the service. It's a perfect date night or girls night spot. The food is incredible everything on the menu is flavorful and comes out hot. Any review that speaks negatively of the food is lying or they don't know good food lol! read more

We sat at the bar on a Friday evening. We did not know what to expect but were hopeful because of numerous positive reviews. We started with cocktails. One large dirty martini that was served with olives stuffed with blue cheese; excellent drink. The other was a drink made on the spot - a new creation - based on our drink preferences. Very well done and came with a guarantee of refund if we didn't like it. But we loved it and appreciated the personal attention we had received. Food was excellent. First, the grilled octopus was a must have. It was tender and seasoned perfectly. It was served with a "green" (possibly pesto) sauce and grilled tomatoes that complimented the octopus perfectly. We also ordered a flat bread - the Italian - that was amazing. So...you've had pizza before, as has everyone, but the balance of flavors not us flatbread was amazing. Salty goodness balanced with the tiny crust and smooth cheese made this such an excellent dish. Although I made it sound like a pizza it was way more than that. We also ordered sesame tacos. Awesome. Crispy shell and very flavorful tuna. Finally we ordered the crab cakes. They were solid, not as good as the other items, but very good. They were not overloaded with breading, which is a positive, but we're slightly soft and lacking texture. Btw..the French fries were amazing. Please don't come here (wink wink). It will take away a space we would like to occupy. read more

RECOMMENDED I hosted a dinner for eight at Bar Petite on July 10, 2019. In contrast to most other Huntington venues, I found parking easily in front of the closed Jema storefront. Had I looked, there was ample street parking closer to the restaurant around the corner on Stewart Avenue since this area of Huntington is more "industrial" and less restaurant dense. The restaurant is very small and sparely decorated. It features an outstanding Happy Hour between 5 and 7 ($8.00 Martinis!!). This evening also featured some fabulous acoustic guitar strumming and singing of great 60's and 70's tunes by a person whose name I did not get. The friendly bartender (the owner ?) introduced himself to my group as we arrived. He poured me an outstanding Tito's Vodka Martini. He was very attentive to our group. We were seated promptly at our reserved time of 7:00 p.m. I was the last to order, choosing the Truffle Fries ($8.00) and the Pub Burger($14.00), a beauty on a Brioche Roll with Applewood Bacon, Caramelized Onions and Guinness Marinated Cheddar. A gripe.... the website menu does not state that the burger comes with fries and the waitress did not tell me and let me order the Truffle Fries when I would have preferred the Crab Cakes (which were outstanding based upon a taste I got). Although I do not ascribe any ill intent upon the poor overworked young lady who was responsible for every table in the restaurant, this does factor in my review. Anyway, the kitchen was quite slow. My burger took 45 minutes to arrive and I was the second to last person to get their food. The Pub Burger was worth the wait. The Brioche Roll was tasty. The burger shined with great beefy flavor. Yum! One of the best bar burgers I've had. The Truffle Fries arrived in a huge portion which could easily feed three. They too were delicious. My companions enjoyed the Meat and Cheese selections, the Bacon Wrapped Apricots ($12.00), the BBQ Pork Sliders ($14.00), the Fish Tacos ($13.00 and the Crab Cakes ($14.00). We left stuffed and satisfied, too full for dessert. BOTTOM LINE: Bar Petite is a winner. Definitely worth a return visit. read more

I love everything about this place! The drinks, the food, the staff, it's perfect! There's a difference in a drink & a craft cocktail and this is the place to get it. We were taken care of by Eric, and that's exactly what he did "took care of us" the attention to every detail was above and beyond. We loved our drinks, then the amazing food started. Everything we had is a must get! We started with some brie, grilled artichoke hearts with a lovely aioli were delicious, the Sicilian rice balls....OMG!!! I could eat them every day and still want more. We both had the braised beef ravioli and loved that too. I was so impressed with the food & drinks they were all delicious and the presentation was beautiful, but the real standout was Eric, he was the only one working the floor and bar & did it with such excellence and precision. My drink was the bees knees and it was so good! Eric suggested something similar, a gin Rickey & that was great as well. You know I think it came down to someone was "at work" vs someone who loves what they do and takes pride in it. This is my fav place on LI and I don't think anywhere else will be able to beat it. I simply adore Bar Petite. Can't wait to go back. read more

Really nice tiny place. It really is petite, but was very good. We had fish tacos, grilled artichokes, pulled pork sliders and the Spanish flat bread. I had two gin rickeys. We enjoyed all the food. They had some inventory issues but were able to resolve them for us so no complaints. It's right outside the hustle and bustle of the village so it's nice and quiet. They had a live musician playing Spanish guitar which I personally really enjoy. The menu (attached) is tapas style and the food comes out slowly, one plate at a time, we were there for hour and a half. At times I almost felt like I was on vacation. It seems like it a regulars type place some table knew each other. The help was nice. My wife really enjoyed it also. We will definitely be back. read more

This place is a total win! Has something for everyone and the food is delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and they have a great indoor/outdoor set up. Small, but cozy. We got takeout and everything was hot and packaged nicely. The risotto balls were to DIE for, I can't stop thinking about them. The grilled artichokes were just as good, and the rest of the food was also excellent. My vegetarian sister said the salmon burger was one of the best she's had! Would definitely recommend for a great dinner in Huntington, especially since it's easy to find parking :) read more

Excellent food and service. Popped in for a quick meal and drink on a Saturday night, just passing through town. This is clearly a regular crowd type of place, and they treated us just like regulars ;-). We were able to sit right at the bar; the bartender Erick was phenomenal and super charismatic . We ordered a flatbread and the risotto rice balls... I literally wanted to order more to go to eat the next day. My husband and I couldn't stop saying we wish we had a cute place like this for date night back home in Michigan. Thanks for the great experience. Don't hesitate to stop in to this place ! read more

AMAZING happy hour and quality drinks. I came by with my husband for their excellent happy hour special. I had the best dirty martini I've ever had for $8! Blue cheese stuffed with a lot of love. My husband got 2 bourbon-based drins. I'm not usually a fan of bourbon but both were really good. I'm anxiously awaiting the day I return! read more

First time at this bar but have to say food is excellent. The service with only two staff members a bartender and waiter puts many other places to shame. They are fantastic in what they do.
