This is such a fun place to go and pet sweet kitties. They have a coffee bar and over 20 cats at a time that they rescue from the community. Best part is all cats are available for adoption. The staff knows all there names and is so knowledgeable about all the cats likes and dislikes. Make sure you make a reservation!

Today my boyfriend and I visited this cat cafe for the second time and fell in love with it all over again!! The staff were super sweet and genuine, we were a tad bit late but they still let us in. I ordered a matcha with oat milk and cane sugar, it tasted very authentic. Loved it so much and it is honestly one of my top places to go to for a date!!

Visiting from California, we were so stoked to spend an hour at the Cat Cafe! I wish we had something like this here! We got a "CatPuccino" and an "Ameowicano" from the cafe (they also have a Caramel Meowcchiato). During the hour, lots of the cats were sleeping while we enjoyed our coffees at a table, but there were a few running around. About 1/2 hour in, it was feeding time, so of course all the kitties were up and about. I loved it!

I found another cat café while on my travels-hurray!! I'm loving this trend of adoptable cats being housed in fun coffee shops where patrons pay a fee to visit and can sip on a drink while entertaining the cats. It's a win-win really! You pay $18 per person (even children) per hour. You can order drinks from the counter outside the cat room, then take it in with you and find table or chair to lounge in. Most of the cats are friendly, although there are some with orange collars that may not be too keen on people. Be respectful of all of them, and maybe a little cautious of those with the orange collars. The staff here is friendly and attentive-they care about the safety of the cats and will monitor guest behavior either by walking around the room or observing the cameras. They ask you to abide by the ten cat-commandments listed on the wall before you enter and just overall be cool. Don't pester the cats and they will likely come to you. While walk in's are allowed and accommodated when possible, it's best to make a reservation online. If you are bringing children, reservations are mandatory.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Phoenix this adorable cat cafe is the perfect place to spend an hour and relax with a coffee or meet a potential new fur friend to take home. I highly recommend this cat cafe for its cleanliness, staff and CATS. The kitties were really the stars of the show, I sat down with my tea and waited for them to come to me I had a few curious friends during my hour visit. I will definitely come back!! The adoption costs are very fair.

My boba sistah and I planned an outing here with her little one on a Caturday, very appropriate. I'd been about 5 years ago when it was still in Tempe, and I was excited to come back. The café is located on Garfield street, can't get more cat friendly than that, and I was lucky to snag metered parking right in front. We walked in and got in line at the café portion, where you can order drinks and snacks and check in for lounge time. Missy, who runs the cafe, is wonderful and was getting drinks made and people checked in for their reservations. There were at least a dozen, maybe two dozen cats roaming around. Some dozing, others playing and giving cuddles. It's nice to see people come and socialize with the cats and consider adopting them as well. Folks of all ages seem to enjoy their time here and it a nice way to spend an hour. I've always loved the concept of a cat café (catfe) and La Gattara is doing great work finding furever homes for these majestic creatures! Check their website/social media for fun events like yoga, art and bingo.

What better way to spend your Caturday than to hang out with some incredibly cool cats? I love the concept of this cat cafe. By paying a nominal fee for an hour you can cuddle and play with frisky felines and also sip on some drinks. Almost all of the cats here are available for adoption and there is one resident cat at the cafe, Charlie Chaplin, who is no stranger to the Limelight as he has his own book published about him that you can read about in the cafe. While reservations are highly recommended, they do accept walk ins if there is enough space. We had reservations for the first hour in the morning and there was a steady influx of people coming here on Saturday after us. After you check in with the hostess, you may opt to get drinks at the cafe where you will place your order. It will be brought to you once you've gone through the rules of interacting with the cats and have gone into the cat lounge. Our main reason for visiting was that my toddler absolutely loves cats so we went here so she could have fun. There were so many cute and spunky cats to observe and play with! There was even one that loved to get exercise on a large wheel, what a character! The rescue people here were so nice and friendly and were great with the kiddo. There was definitely one that I would be tempted to take home with me if it weren't for the fact that I'm allergic (I gotta thank Big Pharma for Zyrtec during this kitteh hour) and we already have way too many pets in the house. The toddler asked when we could go back again right after we got back home. As for the drinks? I had a calico chai, partially because I was feeling like having some tea, I like calico cats, and the drink sounded delicious. It's a chai latte with dark chocolate, white chocolate and caramel. It was way too sweet for me though so maybe I'll opt for something more simple next time. The rescue is independently owned and operated and they work with a lot of TNR (Trap-neuter-release) groups so you might notice some of the cats have tipped ears which indicates at one time they were a stray/feral that was part of the program. Overall it was a purrfect way to spend a weekend morning and we can't wait until we go back! Details: - Make your reservations online - Open since 2017 - Independently owned, woman-owned, non profit rescue - $15 per person per hour - Cat yoga, drag bingo, comedy nights, and paint nights offered in addition to lounge hours - All children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult and every guest must follow the written rules at the cafe as well as verbal instructions given by staff - Every cat in the lounge is spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and FIV/FELV tested before entering the lounge - Adoption fees are $100-200 depending on the cat - Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk for all guests before they enter - Masks are optional unless noted - Coffee, tea, smoothies, Italian soda and hot chocolate available at the cafe

We enjoyed this place very much and got to interact with so many cats and the staff were so nice. You need a reservation and you need to be on time, there cannot be too many people in the place at once for the comfort of the cats. If you are not a cat person or don't understand animals it may be a little disappointing for you. You need to be nice, patient and willing to work for the cats attention. They aren't just going to come up to you and be your best friend. They take a little coaxing. While I believe the place was clean you have to understand this is a place filled with 20 ish cats at any given time. Cats have a little funk to them, there is litter boxes all around, and food. Cats also have accidents from time to time and there may be lingering smells from all these things, which is all fine because this place is helping to get cats adopted and into loving homes. 10/10!

A really delightful cafe with drinks, snacks, and, you guessed it, cats! The atmosphere is laid-back, with plenty of places to sit, ramble, and even work - if one wanted or needed to and, apparently, you can rent the space for events! The large space is divided up into smaller spaces, giving patrons and cats plenty of legroom to lounge or wander. The staff is friendly and helpful, and there's even validated parking! I was particularly happy that I got to experience a space like the cafe, a place open for people who don't or can't own pets, but who want some furry interaction from time to time. One can get their fix, so to speak, in a controlled environment that is safe for both cats and patrons alike, and then be about their day. Most of the cats were amenable to being interacted with, and those that didn't want to be touched kept their distance...which is to say the full gamet of cat-like natures and personalities were on display! The PHX Cat Cafe is a excellent way to draw attention to cats that need adopting, while giving people a place to lounge and relax. Cats also get some needed socializing, with humans and other cats, which will increase their chances of being adopted into a forever home. There is an hourly fee of $18/hr, but it's fair for the service offered to us and provided for the cats. The venue was also very clean, no small feat for a space draped in nearly two-dozen cats (and attendant litter boxes)! I hope more places in Arizona open up along similar lines. Oh, and the cat-themed drinks are delicious!

OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS CAFE!! What an amazing concept! La Gattara is a nonprofit rescue that provides a safe environment for patrons to interact with adoptable cats. It gives much needed socialization to the kitties while also allowing people like me to get our cat fix (I have 3 cats... but still). I love that I am helping to support the rescue by purchasing coffee here. They also offer a bunch of cute cat-related items, such as soap, cat toys, cat ears and apparel. It is very clean and the cats have such a great space to play! The cafe also offers fun events including: morning yoga, drag bingo, and paint night. Reserve your time slot on their website to ensure you get a spot during the lounge hours! They accept walk ins but it's best to secure a time just in case it gets busy. I will be back here soon and I'll be taking all of my fellow cat lovers with me! Thanks Missy for running such an amazing establishment for the benefit of the cats. You will always have me as a regular and advocate going forward!

Best place I think I have ever been in downtown. The cats come out of there comfort zone once you sit by them. LET THEM COME TO YOU. Now lets talk about the problem. The problem is these parents who think this is a daycare. DO NOT take your kids if they are going to torment these cats. Today a man who had two small children was on his phone majority of the time, allowing his kids to run off and do whatever. The youngest child was literally HITTING this poor tabby with a toy and hand. The cat kept trying to run away while this child ran after this cat. Full on abusing this cat. Throughout the whole 35 minutes of both of us being there, the child abused three cats. I unfortunately was too afraid to get up and say something to staff, thankfully i did after they left. I regret not letting staff know, as these cats deserve better. Replying to the other comments about staff, suck it up. Nicest staff who actually cares about their cats. If your child got scratched from a cat, your child was obviously not listening to the 10 rules and understanding personal space. These cats give signals and warnings PARENTS raise your kids correctly its not that hard.

Ask the Community - PHX Cat Cafe

...so with the $18 admission fee per person, do you get a free drink? Or do I have to pay $10-15 per drink for my daughter and I to enjoy? Can I just bring our water bottles? I love cats, but I'm not about to drop $40-60 for an hour

As a non profit organization, the $18 entry fee per person helps to cover the care expenses of the cats and it does not include any extras. You are welcome to bring outside… Read more

What is the parking situation here? Do they have their own parking outside or do you have to find a parking structure?

There is an airgarage lot right next to the building and on street parking in close proximity as well. There is not designated parking for our customers so sometimes in the evenings or on weekends the lot next to us does fill up.

Do they have a kid friendly menu?

In addition to coffee and tea drinks we also have smoothies and coffee free frappes. We do not regularly serve food other than small bags of chips and cookies and usually coffee cake and lemon loafs

Is there a calendar anywhere about what events are taking place on certain days?

I believe there is calendar or upcoming events listed on the website.

Can you bring your cat here for play date?

No, you only come to visit the cats there. Don't bring your own pets!

Do kids or infants pay?

I brought my young teens and they had a great time. I did see other families there with small children who were having a lot of fun but I didn’t see any infants.

All-American K-9 Dog Training

My husband & I rescued a fearful and nervous dog from the shelter who has been re-homed a few…read moretimes. The shelter we got her from recommended another dog trainer/behavior specialist that we consulted with first, however we didn't have great feelings about that option so we decided to look elsewhere. We came across All American K9 & the phone call we had with Bob sold it all. He was not pushy, selling, nor trying to sway us for a board & train. Matter of fact, he recommended private sessions instead of the board & train - which is what we were pushed to thinking was the only option from the previous behavioral specialist consult. We also read all the reviews of All American K9 - all those 5 star reviews are definitely there for a reason & I'm proud to be writing one myself! Our dog struggles with aggression out of fear, lack of confidence, and nervousness. After the first private session, there was a noticeable difference in her - confidence is building & fear/nervousness is dwindling. Bob teaches you all the right information & tricks in the training sessions so all you have to do is go home & continue them! We love that we are the ones handling our dog while he is educating us in real time. He is a pretty personable guy too, easy to get along with while your slotted session flies by. We can't thank you enough Bob!!! These private lessons have been the best thing we could have done for her & us as her owners! In conclusion - if you love your dog, invest in the time & money and you won't be disappointed with All American K9

A colleagusuggested that I try a dog trainer named Bob Solomini that he had used in the past. His passion and confidence in Bob convinced me and even though I was very skeptical and worn out I decided to give it one last try. I am excited to tell you about my invaluable experience and what I learned from it: -my dog was only a small part of the problem, but the majority of the behavioral problems stemmed from me. Dogs aren't born knowing how to behave the way humans would like them to, so we as responsible dog owners need to teach them. -we don't automatically realize what we are doing wrong and unless a true professional who really cares can teach us the correct way we can't be sure that we will ultimately have a happy relationship with our pet. -after four years of pulling my hair out and stressful walks with my dog I wound up moving to a new neighborhood, and my dog was totally out of control when I walked him. When he saw people with dogs, he went crazy and I could not stop him from barking and pulling. In fact, he pulled me down a couple of times where I sprained my ankle and another time where I hurt my knee. In fact, most of my neighbors walked the other way when they saw us and complained about my dog's bad behavior. After the first lesson, I immediately knew that I had found something different. Humane, focused,, professional, and results driven. I am so lucky that I found all American K-9 and especially Bob Solomini. I love walking my dog now, and all of my neighbors have praised the incredible transformation that they see. This was literally a life-changing experience for my dog and for me. I am so thankful that I found somebody that really knows what they're doing and really cares -not only is Bob a great person, but also the Best dog trainer that I have ever met. I highly recommend this trainer and business to anyone who is serious about having a great dog!

We had previously completed seven sessions with another trainer at Rob's Dogs and while that experience was fine for basic obedience, it felt like 'training' rather than the deep level behavioral correction we actually needed. Thankfully, because of the Rob's Dogs lifetime guarantee, we were connected with Joel. From the first hour, the difference was night and day. Joel immediately identified the core issues and provided professional, actionable insight on how to actually shift the dogs' behavior, rather than just running through commands. We already feel significantly more confident moving forward and have total trust in the tools and guidance Joel has given us. If you are struggling with behavioral issues that go beyond the basics, I highly recommend working with Joel. We are incredibly optimistic about the progress we'll make in our upcoming sessions.

Although the dog has been through several training programs, she had recently reverted back to being reactive on leash: barking, pulling, and lunging at any dog that barked at her or gave her a "look". Thankfully I found Rob's Dogs through a search online. Rob offers dog training either through individual sessions sold as a packet of 8 or 3, or you can elect to do a board and train method. Since my mom's dog had done two board and trains with other training facilities in Florida and Texas, I opted for the individual sessions sold as a packet of 3. Not to disparage the other training schools, I want to note that the dog had learned a great deal of commands, but she was a little rusty and selective when doing them and was selectively reactive on leash around other dogs. What we needed was a trainer that could come to my mom's neighborhood and see the dog being reactive in the environment where she was going to be walked. Thankfully Rob's Dogs offered this as an option. It cost a significant amount to do this, but it was possible. The additional cost was for the mileage and drive time to my mom's place. We had a meet and greet at the facility. Rob, the owner, met with us and got the back story on the dog and the current behavior problems. He took the dog and walked her around a bit and near other dogs, tested her response to commands and leash pressure. He explained the package options available to us. He also made us aware that we would be using both a prong collar and e-collar to reinstate her former training. We had these tools, but my mom hadn't used them with the dog since she left Florida, and I had never used them. We were assigned a trainer who was contracted by Rob. Lauryn was super friendly and had a love and full understanding of the German Shepherd breed. She herself had a German Shepherd. She went over the operation of the two collars which I was not familiar with at all. Rob's dogs sent us a link and password so that we could watch some important training videos. His website also had some very useful training tips. I highly recommend watching/reading this information carefully and then reviewing it again each week. It's easy for owners to slip into bad habits quickly which results in their dogs behaving in ways they don't want. You will have to enforce rules and get into a routine. Restrictions can be lifted once the dog consistently behaves as desired. You will find that YOU will have to do the hard work. The trainer and Rob's Dogs will assess your current situation and give you the tools and training to use those tools to reinforce good behaviors. It won't happen overnight. You will need to work with the dog for at least an hour each day to reinforce the seven commands and expectations. As I mentioned, we only had three sessions. This training was going to determine whether or not my mom could keep and handle her dog. Immediately after the first session, we started using the tools and putting restrictions in place inside the house to set the law of the land. Right away, we noticed a difference. While the dog was already really well behaved in the house, it improved her response to us when we walked her outside of the house. The prong collar made a drastic difference in her behavior when she saw other yappy dogs on the walk. I no longer had to worry about her lunging, pulling or barking incessantly in an aggressive stance. She still got up, moved forward, and barked once, but it was all very controlled. I didn't have to use all of my strength to hold her back. The real test came when my mom was able to walk her dog around other yappy dogs. After session two, my mom was easily able to do this, and I felt confident that continuing this training would allow my mom to keep her dog. Her German Shepherd is sometimes still reactive, but it is much more controlled and manageable now. In time, and with continued consistent practice, I believe my mom's dog will eventually stop the reactivity altogether. She has already shown amazing progress and only slips occasionally. If you are looking for effective dog training (well, really we know it is human training to learn how to effectively communicate with the dog), then consider Rob's Dogs. You will work hard to get your dog's behavior issues resolved, but the longterm results will allow you to have a wonderful relationship with your pet.
