    Beef Pho
    Sabrina H.

Came here for dinner a couple of weeks ago on a weekday and there was no wait! Service was super nice and tentative, so it was a great time. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue, Pork Patty Spring Rolls, and Beef Pho (you can customize your own pho!) The Bun Bo Hue was pretty shrimp paste heavy, so I wasn't used to it, but it grew on me! I think I would've preferred if it was a little more lemongrassy, but overall it was still yummy. Always love ordering Nem Nuong spring rolls, and these hit the spot perfectly. Would recommend getting! The pho was good, more on the lighter side for flavor but still good! It was pretty quiet in there but not too quiet, with some other tables around talking and such!

Second time coming to this spot. I like to come here whenever I'm in the Sunnyvale area. Food is always tasty. Tried the beef rib Pho today for the first time and I'm a fan.

The service was great and staff were accommodating when we had a big group. The portions were pretty big! The flavor was decent and the Vietnamese coffee was legit.

Phoever is a great spot if you're looking for clean interiors, efficient service, and decent Vietnamese food in the area. I've definitely had better Vietnamese food in San Jose, but this is probably one of the better options in Sunnyvale. We ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee, custom pho with brisket, shrimp rolls, pork rolls, and the chicken/shrimp vermicelli bowl. Overall, everything was good. The Vietnamese iced coffee was especially solid - flavorful, the right amount of sweetness, and not overly strong. My only complaint was that the rice noodles in the pho were a bit too thick for my liking, but the broth and overall quality were still good. Overall a reliable and convenient spot when you're craving Vietnamese food nearby.

Solid local pho spot that offers the option to customize/build your own pho bowl! Broth is really good and they also have a choice between fresh or thin noodles. Portion size is also great but the one thing they could fix is the quality of their meat. Most of the beef options are super fatty and I finally tried the beef rib this time around but it was COLD. It seems like they cook it ahead of time and just throw it in the soup to serve when ordered, which is simply not enough time for a thick rib to warm up. As soon as you bite into it you can feel the temperature difference.

This place is clean and bright. It's spacious too with many open tables. It's a comfortable environment to dine in. They have built-your-own pho (pick your own meat & toppings) in the menu. This is great for folks only preferred certain items in their pho. We ordered with tendon and meat balls. Also tried the Bun Bo Hue. Noodles are cooked well and broth is very flavorful. Both eggrolls and spring rolls are good too. Service is decent. Waiters and waitresses are can speak English well.

Came here after watching a movie at the AMC Theaters across the plaza. I really like the interior presentation. It's clean and well lit, although it's a fairly small unit. Service was quick, got seated immediately had their water includes a slice of lemon for freshness which I appreciate over plain tap water. I got their Combo #2 pho since I wanted to try out their oxtail. It was decent. Very flavorful and I don't if their jalapeños are fresh cut but after placing a few cuts in the broth, I could feel the spiciness kick in. Portion is smaller compared to the tradition pho places but overall really good and still ended up full at the end of the meal.

I came here at night, and there was plenty of seating. The restaurant isn't too big, but it's clean and cozy. I ordered Pho with tai (rare steak), gau (brisket), and short rib with regular noodles. If you want to try the fresh noodles, there's an extra charge. The broth was flavorful and piping hot. One downside is that it was a bit too oily, even though I didn't order the fatty broth. The steak was tender and decent, and the short rib was also tender, though not a big piece. The side of basil wasn't very fresh, and I wish they gave a larger plate of vegetables. You order by ticking boxes on the paper sheet they leave on the table. Utensils and napkins were already set when I arrived. There's one thing I'm wondering about, the service fee they charged me, even though I was dining alone. It wasn't a big amount, but I think customers should be informed about it. I already left a 15% tip on my bill. -1

Brisket pho and brisket with beef ribs, pork and shrimp egg rolls

Came here for lunch on a Saturday late afternoon. I was worried they would be busy because of the farmer's market, but surprisingly it was not that busy. I like their custom menu of pho bowls. I had just their brisket, and my mom custom-ordered brisket and beef ribs. It was a lot of meat. Super considerate with the meat. The broth was also pretty good and I think it said, it was a 16-hour broth. The meats were very very tender. It melts in your mouth, which makes it very easy to chew. That's what my mom and I really love about. We also ordered Pork and Shrimp fried egg rolls. Couldn't really make out the shrimp tho... And it was very deeply fried. Not sure if they re-fried it. The restaurant is clean, but some of the tables weren't clean when we were seated, so we were moved. Overall, the experience was good. At least a goodbye or thank you would have been nice when we were leaving.... after I was about to say thank you (or wanted to, when I looked behind me as I opened the door to look at the staff as a courtesy)

    Kristine V.

Great pho, the broth was really good. The place is kind of small, but luckily when we went it wasn't so busy.

Review for take out only. Prob not the best not the worst pho I've had. But in terms of value, it can't be beat as long as they keep the Uber eats deal. There is currently a BOGO deal on certain items like the chicken pho, chicken rice dish, and grilled pork vermicelli. I really like the chicken pho and feel the broth is tasty and soothing. I also tried their grilled pork vermicelli dish and feel like the pork could be much better. It wasn't juicy and was a bit dry. Portions were solid no complaints. Overall, pretty middle of the pack pho spot but great value with the Uber eats deal and a solid option if you're looking for a decent pho in Sunnyvale.

Got the combo #3 with thin noodles. The broth was good and this place is the only pho place that will give you load of meats. We got our food pretty quick and I did appreciate their customize your own pho topping option. Will try that next time

Packaging is done well no food spills, ordered via uber eats and took advantage of the buy one get one free coupons, ban mi was pretty good and flavorful, chicken pho was alright as well. Didnt get any of the typical sauce packets you get at most pho places with the order so was disappointed. The chicken pho broth was good.

Are all of the vegetarian options vegan? Is the peanut sauce served with the tofu rolls vegan?

That's good question and I am not sure. I believe you need to specify vegan so they use proper broth/sauce. Check with them -- it will be worth it if they can go all in vegan.

Does the vegetarian Pho have msg?

I even moved my chair out of the way to give them more space, but the staff still kept bumping into it as they walked by. If the table is in such a busy walking area, maybe consider moving it or rearranging the space so customers can actually eat comfortably without constantly being bumped into? I really hope the restaurant improves both the food quality and the seating arrangement because this was not a pleasant dining experience.

We wandered around Grocery Outlet and Savers to pass the time. I came with a group of 6 people. We ordered the sichuan spicy fries and fried chicken cutlet to share. The fries were the spiciest item I had that day, wow! I ordered the Sichuan chicken cold noodles, extra spicy. They were not spicy at all. I left everyone at the table try them and they all agreed it was not spicy. Kind of disappointing, I expected them to be spicier than the fries at least. My partner had the chengdu zajiang noodles, mild spicy. They were good, the signature dish of the restaurant. I would return, but their spice levels are very inconsistent.

The front staff added us to the waitlist quickly, and our server was very kind and attentive throughout the meal. One thing I wouldn't completely trust is the estimated wait time. We were told 15-20 minutes, but Yelp showed us as #19 in line. After about 30 minutes, Yelp prompted us to check in with the host and we were still around #14. We checked in anyway and surprisingly were able to get seated, so if you're hungry, I'd recommend checking in with the host periodically instead of relying completely on the app. This place is busy, went on a Monday around 6:30 PM and restaurant was full with waitlist was at 30. They require one entrée per person, but each entrée comes with your choice of white or purple rice plus a whole spread of side dishes with unlimited refills. Our favorites were the kimchi, quail eggs, and what I believe was a fried shrimp paste patty. For our appetizer, we ordered the seafood pancake. It was my first time having a seafood pancake prepared this way. It was more like a crispy seafood patty and came with a unique, slightly spicy dipping sauce. I'd give it around a 6-7/10. For our entrées, we had the seafood tofu soup (mild) and Wagyu bulgogi. The tofu soup came with scallops, shrimp, and a snow crab. It was good but just okay for me, around a 7/10. The Wagyu bulgogi was really tender and flavorful and also came with a side of miso soup. I'd give that around a 7/10 as well. The service and little touches were probably what stood out most. They give you a towelette to clean your hands before eating and a small complimentary red bean dessert at the end, which made the experience feel a little more elevated. Random observation: the utensils are surprisingly heavy. They feel nice and high quality, but the chopsticks made it a little difficult to pick up smaller things like chives. Parking is available in the back, but the lot is pretty small. Other con is we did notice some small fruit flies. Overall, the food was solid, but the ambience and service impressed me more than the food itself. I'd definitely come back to try some of their other dishes!
