This is the second time I have come to this location. Had great free Sunday parking. The waitress was very attentive. Food was excellent!!! I added myself on the Yelp waiting list, which made it so much easier! The hostess was super sweet too!

Decided to give Phoebe's a try, as we were looking for a nice place to dine after moving our daughter into UT Austin. We stopped in around 10 on a Friday morning. It's downtown Austin, but there's a few inexpensive self pay parking spots located on the east side of the building....or west depending on where your coming from. But we were seated straight away. They have super spacious booths that can hold larger parties, we sat 5 and a pup comfortably! Their menu has awesome classic and great fresh take-breakfast and lunch options. Our server was cool and gave some great recommendations. (Caution- if they offer any options not originally mentioned- there is an up charge- and those add up quickly!) Once ordered our food came out pretty quickly and was delicious! Everything was fresh, tasty and fairly priced. Definitely one of our better Diner experiences! If your looking for a diner that offers great service and options to satisfy even your pickiest eaters, look no further! Happy Eating

First time at Phoebe's! My family and I were exploring Austin for the day (drove from SATX). We decided to stop by for brunch and everything we ordered was delicious! We were a pretty big party (8) and they accommodated us fairly quickly despite how busy they were! Our sever, Jenna was amazing and so attentive! My sis in law and I ordered an iced Vietnamese coffee and it was DELICIOUS! To eat I ordered; the kids blueberry pancakes for my daughter and the green chili chorizo hash for myself. Everything i tried was delicious! Definitely recommend! They have breakfast and lunch options with a good amount of choices! The decor is very cute and a more aesthetic vibe in comparison to more traditional diners! Loved it!

Pretty small restaurant so maybe make reservations. The food was good but I didn't think it was worth the wait. The service was fantastic the staff are awesome and they definitely go above and beyond for customer service.

This is the perfect restaurant to bring small kids to! They have these "wiki stix" toys for the kids to play with at the table, along with paper and crayons for them to draw. My kids both loved the kids meal cheeseburger. Now for the entrées - I got the crabcakes Benny and my husband got the crabcake sandwich. Both were phenomenal. The crabcakes were crispy and so delicious! We are not from here, but we will definitely be back the next time we're in Austin.

Minus 1 star, just because of area/parking. Stinks nothing else is close to explore, outside of government buildings. That being said, WOW. Yummy to the tummy here. Banana bread, banana fosters French toast? Thick slice of this moist and soft with so much crunch from the walnuts gem. 3 people could definitely split this dish. Goat cheese grits? Yes please....so creamy, but grit texture is there. Really pleasing taste, if you love goat cheese like me. Fresh fruit and some good ol eggs and bacon dish. Space is small and cute, staff was exceptionally friendly. Stop by, even if you gotta pay to park

I love this place. I'm so glad I read the reviews about the cheeky monkey cause I never would've ordered it but after reading about it and everyone raving about it I have to agree. It's a great appetizer. Everything else was delicious and the service is always great.

Great brunch spot! Love the chile relleno! So unique and tasty especially with the chorizo added! The migas with chorizo are also delicious. I do think it could use more masa cake, but very good dish. If your lookingfor a classic breakfast, the bad ass bacon and eggs are a great option and the chocolate chip pancakes are great! Good vibes and atmosphere with friendly service. They even have good bathrooms! Highly recommend!

Without exaggerating, this is the best breakfast I've had from any restaurant in a long time. I asked for a brisket burrito in a bowl with no tortilla, which the super friendly server was happy to accommodate. She recommended a big slab of bacon on the side. It was perfect, the eggs, the brisket, the potatoes, the flavor, the bacon. Perfect diner coffee as well. Really well done.

They have a interesting breakfast twist here. I did enjoy my chicken fried steak. And their Vietnamese coffee was pretty good

We really enjoyed the experience overall! The diner had several unique flavor combinations and plenty of interesting options to try. We ordered a variety of items, and the standout favorites were definitely the brussel sprouts and the fried chicken served with the chicken and grits - both were absolutely delicious. The chicken caesar wrap was good, but the dressing being served on the side took away a bit from the full caesar wrap experience since it was difficult to evenly add the dressing while eating. Service was great, and there were so many friendly staff faces throughout the visit which made the atmosphere feel welcoming and enjoyable. Would definitely come back to try more menu items!

4.5 Stars A cute lil diner with classic, stick-to-your-ribs brunch food with a Southern twist. Food: Brisket Benny ($16.99) was hefty. They did not skimp on the biscuits. The biscuits sort of taste like sweet cornbread. The hash brown casserole was rich and creamy. The pancakes ($6.99) - were nice, lots of blueberries! Staff were really nice. Only nits: There was obnoxious pop music playing the background. It's not their fault I hate pop music though, lol.

    1) Sunday= free (& easy!) street parking 2) No wait for seating 3) Staff all super friendly, laid back but also efficient (shout out to Daisy- excellent server!) 4) My friend loved her green chorizo hash. 5) I completely enjoyed my brisket burrito - just wish they had drained fat off the brisket before adding it in (the puddles of fat that pooled each time I set the burrito down were a little much) although we ALL know, fat= flavor! 6) ambiance is cute- we loved the Bourdain pic/quote! Would certainly return if I were in the area. Recommended, 5 stars

My eggs Benedict was served on a unique bread - not a traditional English muffin - that kind of fell apart as I ate it. The flavor was great though. I should have gotten regular home fries, because the hashbrown casserole was cheesy and I wanted something to soak up the hollandaise and egg. Their burger is easily one of the best I've had in Austin, especially paired with their thin, crispy fries. It's my go-to order almost every time. One thing I love is that they switch up the steak portion of the menu a few times a year, and it never disappoints. Right now they have the steak au poivre, which is incredible, although I'm still craving their steak frites and hoping it makes a comeback. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back. I definitely recommend making a reservation since it tends to get pretty busy, especially during peak hours.

My biggest issue started before I even got seated. There is a QR code that you're required to use to join the waitlist/queue, but this is not clearly communicated on their website. You essentially have to arrive at the restaurant and figure it out once you're there. For a restaurant that is known for having long waits and high traffic, I feel like this information should be clearly stated online so people can plan accordingly. Once I joined the queue, I was number 43 and ended up waiting about an hour and a half before being seated. I understand that popular restaurants can have long wait times, but the lack of transparency about how the process works made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. Once inside, the ambiance was actually quite quaint and charming. That said, considering how much traffic this restaurant gets, I was surprised by how limited the space is. I honestly think expanding the property would make a huge difference, although I understand that may not be entirely within their control. One thing I will give them major credit for is the menu. Online, the selection makes it look somewhat limited, but once you're there, they actually have 50+ food options, so there is plenty to choose from. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, my entrée was disappointing. I ordered a shredded beef taco with salsa and substituted a side salad. The beef was extremely tender, but unfortunately, it was also very dry. The salad was another disappointment because the vinaigrette was honestly not good. I don't think I've ever had a vinaigrette that I actively disliked until this meal. Thankfully, my fiancé had a much better experience. He ordered an enchilada and said it was one of the top five enchiladas he's ever had, so clearly there are some standout dishes on the menu. That definitely made me curious about trying something different if I ever return. I also really enjoyed that they offer hibiscus tea. I was very happy to see it on the menu, although I personally think it would be better served on its own rather than incorporated into one of their mixed drinks. The drink itself was just okay, but the hibiscus flavor was great. Overall, I can see why this place has become an Austin staple, but I think the experience could be improved significantly by making the waitlist process much clearer online and by improving the consistency of some of the food. The menu has a lot of potential, and clearly, some dishes are excellent! Unfortunately, mine just wasn't one of them.

We arrived and in a few minutes we were seated at a table and immediately given water in mason jars and asked for our drink order. I opted just got an Arnold Palmer but the drink menu had some cute cocktails and mocktails, as well as a nice selection of beer and wine. Instead of bread, our server brought us a basket of seasoned popcorn. The popcorn had almost like a Cajun flair, but it wasn't spicy. It reminded me of the Ground Round chain from when I was a little girl. We decided to try the corndog shrimp appetizer. I couldn't decide on an entree because everything looked so good, so I did the Parmesan chicken and my coworker did the steak salad. The shrimp arrived so quickly with four large pieces of shrimp on a stick wrapped in corn dog batter and fried to a golden brown, with a blueberry mustard dipping sauce. The shrimp were delicious and while I didn't get much of the blueberry in the mustard, I enjoyed the sweetness it provided. My Parmesan chicken was a crispy and juicy breaded chicken cutlet with a lemon cream, artichoke hearts, and what appeared to be prosciutto on top. It was served with a side of pesto couscous with grape tomatoes and cucumbers. I wish I had ordered mashed potatoes on the side, because I wanted something to soak up the lemon cream sauce, which was the highlight of the chicken. We also were served 3 mini cornbread muffins with honey butter. My coworker said the salad was just okay, and was a little on the small side. The desserts were definitely a MUST and if you visit Moonshine and don't save room for the Espresso Brownie or the Peanut Butter Pie, you're going to regret it. The brownie was so fudgey and warm and served with ice cream. It was decadent. The peanut butter pie was the biggest slab of PB pie I've ever had with a thick Oreo crust. I wish I had someone with me to share it, it was huge. Overall, if I lived in the area I would definitely be back to try other things.

Mañana is located at the South Congress Hotel has coffee + tea, bakeshop and grab + go offerings (primarily water, kombucha, paletas and juices). Of course I was there for a latte spiked with black sesame vanilla (their most popular latte) according to my barista, which I paired with an almond bear claw. This was not your typical bear claw as it was not eye-squinting sweet but bursting with almond flavoring primarily in the center. It was almost like a crescendo in a symphony when you got to the center of the bear claw. My latte was flavorful in a subtle way with the sesame vanilla permeating throughout the latte. It is important to note that they make their own pastries and tacos each day. The pastries are a bit pricey costing more than my latte. The coffee shop has floor to ceiling windows on two sides with one of the windows opening into a courtyard with additional seating. The beautifully titled coffee bar immediately grabs your attention. In addition, service was quick and efficient. I was in and out the coffee shop within 10 minutes. I parked right in front of the coffee shop as it was early before the meters started to tick.
