    P10. Pho Brisket and Meatballs
    Bryan V.

Came here during my lunch break as my friend was craving Vietnamese food. The Pho with brisket and meatballs was just okay. The broth tasted very "instant" and didn't have much depth of flavor. There wasn't much protein either. It wasn't bad though. Unfortunately I'm just spoiled by Pho from Bellaire...

Broken tile in my egg roll I received today.

I'm pretty bummed because I ate here before, but this time there was 3 pieces of what appears to be broken tile in my egg roll. I'm so glad it didn't crack my teeth. Can't order from here anymore.

P18. Pho Shrimp (after adding chili oil &etc.)

Ambiance: Thursday after work I had a desire for pho, but I didn't know where because honestly it's hard finding good pho outside of the inner loop. We stumbled across this location and decided to give them a try. When we first walked in it was very calm and clean. It wasn't packed and the staff were very nice. Order: Small pho Shrimp to go: We did have to order the chili oil as it doesn't come with it (no extra charge). Once I made it home I mixed everything provided (pictures before and after attached). The pho was very flavorful and the small was a great idea as it is larger than expected. Service: Everyone was helpful Payment: The food was priced well and the payment was quick and easy Overall experience I definitely plan to return to try other items and would recommend.

This was my first time here. The service was fantastic and they were very accommodating to my vegetarian request. They even have a vegetarian selection on the menu. The food and my Thai tea were very good.

The P1. Pho Vinh Special was amazing and so flavorful.

I was happy to get a booth dining alone. There were a few customers there but it was not super busy. It was a clean and calm environment. I ordered the spring rolls and beef Pho. The spring tops were fresh and crispy just the way I like it. Although it was fried it wasn't greasy. My large Pho came out and it had nice flavor on its own. I asked for some chilli oil and the waitress promptly bought some out. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach because I had to take more than half to go. It's a win for me because I love left over Pho! I will say my entire dining experience was excellent. The price aligned with the quality food and service. I will definitely be back.

I'm always on the hunt to try new Vietnamese spots and sometimes have to travel to The Woodlands…read morefor work and thought that I would give Pho Viet Tastes a try due to high ratings on Yelp. Searching for a banh mi sandwich with tofu for a quick lunch takeout, I was pleased to see that the restaurant was close to interstate 45 for a quick stop on the way back to Houston (timing is everything to beat the traffic in this area - IYKYK). I ended up ordering both the tofu vermicelli and a tofu banh mi because obviously, you need to try more than one thing. It was fine. Out of the two dishes, the vermicelli was my favorite. It came with a generous portion of noodles, a small lettuce and shredded carrot salad, several large wedges of tofu in a kind of curry sauce, and the classic vermicelli sauce to drizzle over the whole dish. The flavor was good, although what I would consider a slight deviation from traditional flavors, and overall filling. Vermicelli is always a dependable choice and I was satisfied with this dish. The tofu banh mi, however was nothing special. I prefer the bread to be a bit more crispy on the outside with a soft interior and this one was fairly soft all over. Inside, the tofu really needed more seasoning, seemingly cooked without any added flavors except for the fried finish. I added some hoisin sauce but still it needed something more. I'm always eager to try new places but not sure that this one will be a repeat for me.

The food was very good!…read more I was hesitant at first because some of the menu seemed to be fusion items. In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.

Spring Roll Grilled Shrimp and Pork (2 rolls) [$6.50] Still a great flavor, both the roll and the sauce. Still the best goi cuon I can find in the area. A5. Fried Egg Rolls (3 rolls) [$5.50] Crisp, not oily, great flavor. These are a hit with both adults and kids in the household. P1. Pho Combination [$12.99] Great combination of meats including my favorites of brisket, meatball, tendon, and tripe. Broth flavor is not as strong over the years but still prefer it over other places in the area. R5 Combination Grilled Pork [$18.99] Combination of sausage, grilled pork, egg, shrimp, and meatloaf. Shrimp are almost always way overcooked but everything else is delicious. The meatloaf is especially good here. All in all, still my go to Pho spot in the area. I did want to mention that the prices are considerably higher than what they used to be but then again what hasn't risen in cost? I'm just glad the portion and flavor profiles are more or less the same so at least I know what I am getting. Now, the biggest thing that has changed is the service/packing of to go orders. Previously, these used to be a consistent set of young adults doing the service who were attentive and there to do a job well. The past several times I've gone, there is an ever changing group of young adults manning the cashier and wait station who have been slow, confused, and very often forget to pack things in my to go orders such as sauce, pho vegetables, and soups. I do check my order but there are quite a few components to check for and with kids, it's been a bit difficult to fully focus. Just something I expect the restaurant to be able to get right instead of depending on me to have to check each time. Disclaimer: I was in the restaurant business for a decade in my younger days so I understand the role and responsibilities very well. I almost always come on weekdays (which aren't as busy) so there's almost no excuse to not double check the orders or have a more experienced staff member check if you are new.
