I have had a hard time finding a restaurant that makes good Chinese food around here since moving here from Ohio and this place is awesome. I always have the exact perfect quantity and consistency and the food that they put out and hands-down the best wonton soup I have ever had in my entire life. The wontons are so stuffed with the meat. It is crazy good. And their crab Rangoon are huge. They are always so friendly no matter when I call. The orange beef has big slices of crispy and tender beef. The sauce has a little too much soy sauce instead of orange or sugar. The white rice tasted fine. The fried rice tastes like a lot of soy sauce with a few bits of scrambled eggs. The Chicken with Broccoli and Garlic Sauce had a good amount of crispy broccoli, water chestnut and carrots. The chicken was tender parts mixed with the brown sauce. The fried egg roll was crispy and a good size. The smell of cabbage is very strong. You can dine-in with your takeout but will need to keep the area clean. I saw you could dine-in with tableware too. read more

This place was really good. The noodles could be better but the food was of great quality and it was fresh. It is made to order so you do have to call in ahead if you have a big order. Their girls were OK and their spring egg rolls were falling apart so not my favorite but they were so good. The only reason why I am not giving a five star is because you are unable to get your plate with noodles it Hass to be fried rice. If you want the noodles or lo mein you have to have a separate order. It was a bit pricey but it seems that it can be made up with the fact that they are made to order. Food is ok for the price but it's is not a dine-in they only have 3 tables available and no host or waiters you need to go to cashed first order hopefully you had time to look at the menu before you get here order your food with the cashier a pay first no refills on soda they give you a can and they don't show they have iced tea available just hot tea but the inside looks like they are remolding and on the table they have plastic spoons, forks and knives uncovered and a bag of napkins. For one the disgusting bowl of rusting pennies, dusty/dirty entry when I first walked in should've been a red flag. But I had eaten here once like 2-3 years back so I figured it would be okay. I was WRONG. I ordered the sweet & sour chicken and General Tso chicken. Something must've burned while cooking my general chicken & instead of starting over, they drowned it in sauce and still served it to me. The sweet and sour chicken didn't have any flavor. I used to come here 10 years ago and the lady who worked the front counter was an older lady who probably was manager/owner?? Now it's all staffed by a younger group. As others have stated there isn't much in the way for delivery outside of pizza in the Spring area, so having a restaurant that has served the community for more than 10 years deliver is great. We ordered the combination dinners ( affordable at $8.25 each ), sweet & sour pork with fried rice, hot & sour soup, an eggroll and a fortune cookie, as well as sweet & sour chicken with fried rice, hot & sour soup, an eggroll and a fortune cookie. We added on an order of fried biscuits for $2.99 and the total came to somewhere around $23. The staff taking the order over the phone may take a little longer to understand your order, but they get it right every time! The delivery time was fast and the driver courteous. I haven't been to Golden Jade in years. I usually like to eat pho, but today was in the mood for Chinese. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff are very friendly. Their family meals are a great value. $35 for dinner for 3 which included soup, appetizers, fried rice, and 3 entrees. The soup and apps were good. The entrees were plentiful, but a little bland. For dessert they served some almond shortbread cookies that were actually quite tasty. There wasn't many people dining inside, but I did notice a large number of people coming in for take out. Had lunch here with my daughter yesterday and it was absolutely horrible first of all how can you mess up water? It tasted very bad! I knew it was bad when I tasted my hot tea and I had to order a second tea bag and the water was like warm..... Next The amount of proteins to Vegetables were 2 to 10 (2 proteins to 10 Vegetable pieces)....meaning if you ordered a seafood dish you really ordered Vegetables!!!! I also ordered a House special lo mein dish and it came out so sloppy and cold I was so upset. I came here long ago and I THOUGHT it was good then but I was sadly mistaken......it has gone absolutely gone downhill. The fortunate thing out of this whole situation was I took my daughter before I took a client. I will never make this mistake again I should have gone to my (go to) which is Hoi Yin down the street! Other than pizza, we have NO other restaurants in Spring that deliver. So I get a flyer for Golden Jade the other day. Now my FAV Chinese take out is Great Wall, but with so much traffic we decided to be lazy & order from what we were hoping to be a great place. It was almost 8:00pm when I called in my order. It seemed like maybe all of ten minutes & they were ringing my bell!! I said, Dang! Super Fast!!! Let's eat!!! My boys split the sweet & sour chicken with fried rice, husband had the Pu Pu Platter, & I had my all time fav....General TSO Chicken & an order of the Crab Rangoon!!! YUM......not at all!!! So here we go.... The ribs on the Pu Pu Platter were very dry & crispy; everything else on his platter was decent...nothing to write home about. My General TSO Chicken, super dry & hard. Way over cooked. That was a shame because the sauce that it sat in was great but not great enough to cover up how dry the chicken was. The Crab Rangoon was the worst I have ever tasted. It literally tasted like it had been fried in old grease & had a nasty fried chicken taste to it. I spit out my 2nd bite. My boys said the sweet & sour chicken was good to them but pointed out that it was no Great Wall!! I feel as if I lost $45 & still never had dinner. Maybe I caught them on an off night...or maybe I should say I hope I caught them on an off night. I see the only other review says large portions. This is true, just unfortunate that the dinner combos didn't even come with an egg roll or soup. I am curious to read future reviews. Like I said, maybe I caught em on a bad night, but until I see some other reviews on this establishment, I will still consider pizza to be the only food delivered in my Spring area. read more

We stopped in for lunch today and took a chance without reading any reviews first! Just asked the gps for Chinese close by and chose Golden Jade. Glad we did! We ordered two lunch specials, the curried beef with peppers and onions, and the Kung Pao chicken. Both came with a soup selection, fried or white rice and an egg roll. The waiter came over quickly, dropped off menus and some crispy wonton strips and took our drink order. He brought our soups right out and the food came pretty quickly, hot and seemingly cooked to order. The Kung Pao was good, with great, very fresh vegetables. The fried rice was average, as was the egg roll. The curried beef was good again very fresh vegetables, same rice and egg roll. The service was great. The portion size was better than average. And the price was also very nice. Our two lunches with two drinks (hot & iced tea) with 25% tip was just under $21!!! Maybe Suzanne got unlucky and caught them on a bad night??? But, we would definitely go back again. If you have the inside track on great Chinese, especially NW, please pass it along! read more

I usually go to a different take-out place, never was really happy, so I'm glad I found something different in the area. This place was really good. Everything tasted fresh. I had the pork egg rolls (they also offer a vegetarian roll)- very crunchy, perfect amount of filling. Standard, pre-packaged sweet n' sour sauce comes with. I had the General Tso's chicken- bigger than average chicken strips, fresh tasting. Also was like a more home-made sauce on top. Found out that they deliver to my area, so this will probably be my new "go-to" Chinese spot. read more
