The Chef's Orange Chicken is a favorite amongst the kids, and everything else is always delicious and hot. The restaurant was pretty nice, but we just got takeout and didn't stay long. The front desk staff was nice. The food was ok. I was disappointed by the sweet and sour chicken, i was hoping it would be more than fried chicken pieces + sauce in a container. The gyoza was a little chewy as well. This should be 5 Stars if you based it only on flavor. We had the string bean chicken, Mongolian beef, chicken lo mien, fried rice, steamed rice, and the veggie spring rolls (fried). All were great. The brown sauce in the Mongolian is amazing. Even the plain steamed rice was good, not over cooked. Definitely going back. The problem here was the wait time. And I get the pandemic, and it being a Friday night. But they said 20-25 min. Showed up 20 min later, told ten more minutes....35 minutes later food finally came out. Asked four other people who got food before ours and all said they order 20-25 min previously. 60 min from order to take out being ready. One of the best places for Chinese in the area. My go to restaurant when the need hits. Delivery is fast and very courteous. The spring rolls are delicious, like plenty of crunch inside and out. The regular egg rolls are big & have a nice pepper kick to them. Beef w/Broccoli is some of the best I've tasted. Very tender, sauce is perfectly flavorful and broccoli was the right amount of crispy. Sweet & Sour Chicken was perfectly cooked and the batter has a nice sweet flavor. The sauce is yummy too. The Singapore special noodles are my favorite tho, simple but still super complex with the spice and curry. Jade Garden is a fairly typical "Americanized" Chinese restaurant. That being said they have a good selection of options to choose from. The appetizer section of the menu offers a choice between spring rolls and egg rolls which is nice since it's becoming the norm to get only one or the other. They also offer the soft summer rolls. They even have shrimp toast which used to be ubiquitous at Chinese restaurants when I was growing up but now seems to have all but disappeared. At least in my experience the food has always been hot and fresh. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. Lunch combinations consisting of an entree, choice of soup, and a spring roll, crab rangoon and fried rice are available daily until 3pm for $8 - $9. Free delivery is available with a $15 minimum. Delivery has always been very prompt and in my 4 years as a customer I have yet to receive an order that was incorrect. We had a family dinner at this restaurant the other night. It's pretty standard American Chinese food, but well-executed for the most part. The beef and chicken dishes were tender and had flavor as expected. Service was well above average, the waitress was very attentive and refilled our drinks several times. The high point for me was shrimp toast. Done well this is an excellent starter and takes advantage of the region's fresh shrimp. This wasn't the best I have had but it was close enough. The other appetizers were just OK. The spring rolls were somewhat greasy. They have something called a curly wonton, which is actually not curly at all--it's quite flat. It's filled with some kind of ground beef that got a mixed reception. The crabmeat rangoons were just as expected. The tofu was kind of disappointing, rather chewy with an unpleasant texture. If you are looking for a Chinese fix, you could do way worse than this. The interior is pretty standard and inoffensive, but has decoration to rest the eyes on. The bathroom was clean and ready to go on my visit. I gave it a 3.6 and rounded up. read more

We ate in here for our first go around with Texas Chinese and went away satisfied. We realized as soon as we walked in that they mostly do a take out and delivery business since we were the only ones there pretty much the whole time. Eating in was lovely though as we snacked on wonton chips with duck sauce and enjoyed a gorgeous Pu Pu platter presentation. The egg drop soup was really good especially when you added said wonton chips to it. The fried wontons on the Pu Pu platter were definitely Texas sized as were the portion sizes and prices were very reasonable. Service could've been a bit more sweet but it was efficient. We had sesame chicken for our main course and it was meaty and perfectly fried. The sauce was delicate and not overbearing. Every thing came to us hot and fresh. A great experience. I had their spring rolls and they were just just piss poor and the peanut sauce it's just terrible. I had their chicken lettuce wraps there was just no flavor to the minced chicken stuffing it was like it was all just cut up so small with just no flavor at all.Their spare ribs I would probably say that it was the sauce that I didn't like him I didn't like the smell. This is just an average suburban Chinese restaurant serving average overly Americanized Chinese food. They're not even trying here. The fried rice only has egg - no veggies and tasted like it was reheated. The fried egg roll and wonton are just the standard frozen variety thrown in a fryer. The General Tso chicken is just chicken tenders with a sauce straight from the jar. Lunch portion with drink will set you back $11.57 for most items. Service is good. Literally downloaded Yelp and made an account to write this review. 8:30 pm and everything tasted fresh and like it wasn't just 'the last bit of rice before they close out'. We got egg rolls (the best we have ever had, full of flavor, crispy on the outside, full of deliciousness), the fried rice was perfect, not mushy, or oily, or sticky or salty just perfect fried rice to complement the hero of the night the orange chicken. Not like the orange chicken we have grown accustomed dripping is sugar sauce, to it was a perfect balance between sweet and a little bit of spice. Not a single bad piece in the bunch and I loved that I got the clear orange chicken flavor without feeling weighed down in sugar. The spring rolls were just average. No dining in because of COVID but the staff were fast, friendly and even ran the order out to the car when it was ready so we didn't have to come inside. read more

Tried this place for the first time as delivery. Food was hot and came fast BUT the fried rice and white rice was so dry. The tofu and fried rice had way too much soy sauce to the point that I had to blot it out of the tofu. Tofu was also over cooked. Just want to point out that adding a ton of soy sauce to something will not make it a Chinese dish. Ugh. Order also came with extra packets of soy sauce as if I wanted to add even more. read more

Pretty much average Chinese food. Haven't found anything really special in a dish here yet, but haven't found anything terrible either. Every thing does seem fresh, I just don't get real excited about this type of food period. Friendly family is running the place, so that's part of the appeal for me. The egg drop soup with chicken is really nice. Rich and velvety soup. The Lo Mien is also pretty good. They have several Tai curry dishes that I haven't tried yet.
