Weird enough, we had to ask for something to drink after we had already placed our food order and was well into eating. Whereas; other patrons walked in the door after us, and received their beverage the moment they sat down. Matter of fact, the waitress passed by us and saw we didn't have any water and provided water to the couple who had just sat down. She literally could have stopped at us first but chose not to...that cost this establishment my business. I've been going here for years, before they were mamas pho n more they were a different restaurant and before that they were zero degrees. They changed their business a few times, but I kept coming back mainly because I enjoyed the food and the drinks. But it seemed when mamas pho n more took over they completely changed into a completely different place, the outside menu on the window is tacky, the crates and boxes of supplies and food lining the restaurant inside isn't a good look. And the decorations from Valentine's Day have been there for well over a few years, I suppose they don't wanna take stuff down? I've met the owner back when she originally moved in and she was nice, until I sat at a large table to do my work one day and she told me that rush was coming soon and that I needed to leave soon. I left right away because I get it I took up a big table, but you decide you need to kick me out? I suppose that's why they have the reserved signs now on the big tables. Before mamas pho n more decided to change up their menu, the drinks were really good I always got the fruit green teas but now I don't even bother, because it's just not that great for the price of 6 plus dollars. The smoothies are powdered and don't taste that great, had to refund them once. Don't get me wrong I come here like almost every other week, I love the pho, the pork spring rolls, and the pork bahn mi. My biggest gripe is with the main server/woman up front, every time I go she has such a cold attitude towards me, don't know if that's just her personality but every time I come in she recognizes me and I'm just like "let's just get this over with." A few examples of her rude behavior was where I didn't know where the takeout boxes were so I asked for one and I guess I was sitting right next to them because she said: "you coudnt get it yourself?" Another instance was when I ordered a pork spring roll and then when she brought it out it was the pork bahn mi and I'm like well I didn't order that, and she's like but you did? To my surprise, for a pho spot in Tomball, this place is actually pretty good! It's a small little mom and pop place, but those are the best places, am I right?! I was a bit hesitant at first since their menu included a variety of dishes that didn't quite fit the usual pho shop vibe, but everything turned out to be delicious! We tried the wings and fries, which were surprisingly tasty, and I've also had their beef pho, chicken pho, and bun bo hue. All solid choices. Great pho! The broth has that rich pho flavor. I wish there were more noodles and toppings collared to other places in Houston. However, I was happy with our restaurant choice and so was the family. We only tried the seafood pho (extra meat), brisket pho and children's pho. Clean and inviting interior. Parking lot can get busy however there was enough open spots when I came over lunch. Well before I could finish half, my large bowl of rare steak and brisket pho came out. I took the meat out cause I really prefer it served on the side since it cooks in the broth. I have never been treated so poorly by a restaurant in my life, and I left genuinely shaken and humiliated. I went in for lunch with my mom, ate, and then paid at the counter like any normal customer. I inserted my card, added a tip, the payment went through, the cashier said "thank you," and we left. Five minutes later, as I'm sitting in the truck about to pull out, the employee comes outside to my vehicle with the payment device and ACCUSES me of not paying. I was so confused. Not "Oh, I'm so sorry, we think there may have been a mistake." Just "You didn't pay your tab." I cannot even describe how shocking and humiliating it is to be talked to like that, especially in a parking lot where other people can see and hear. I told her I had literally just paid her, and she still insisted I hadn't. I even offered to pull up my bank account and told her to check her cameras. Then she pulls up the bill -- and above it is MY NAME from the payment I had just made. That's when she suddenly realizes she had pulled up the WRONG TABLE when she checked me out. Instead of apologizing, she tells me I need to pay the difference... which was $8. And she still acted like I was the problem. I told her how humiliating the whole situation was & that I was leaving a review. She couldn't figure out how to void that transaction and pull up the other one so only then did she mumbled "It's okay, you can go, sorry " while the entire restaurant stared at me like I'd actually tried to walk out on my bill. I left in actual tears. I've never been so embarrassed over something that was 100% their mistake. If they had simply said, "I'm so sorry, it looks like we charged you the wrong tab, can we fix it?" I would've been totally understanding & paid the difference without hesitation, I know mistakes happen. Instead, I was treated like someone who was trying to skip out on the bill over an $8 mistake they made. Not cool. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. In my opinion, it's one of the better ones, and hasn't ever let us down. It's a cozy little place with good food, reasonable prices, and decent service. For dinner tonight, we had the following: 1. Gyoza appetizer 2. Spring Roll appetizer (shrimp) 3. Chicken Pho 4. Vermicelli combo (chicken, pork, shrimp and an egg roll) I probably wouldn't order the Gyoza again, not because it was bad; it just wasn't anything noteworthy. All of the other items were pretty tasty. The springs rolls were crisp and fresh. For the vermicelli, the meat was tender and cooked perfectly (not overcooked). I can't really speak to the Pho, but it was full of white chicken breast, and the wife said it was delicious. All told, this was a very nice meal.
