I've been to Mama Bread a few times now, and it's quickly become one of my favorite coffee spots. The atmosphere is beautiful, welcoming, and peaceful--I believe it's a Christian café, which adds to the warm, inviting vibe. The coffee has been consistently great. The first time I visited, I tried the iced chai. As an Indian, I'm pretty particular about chai since I usually make my own at home. It definitely had a nice kick of spice, but I realized iced chai just isn't for me. That's completely a personal preference, though. On my most recent visit, I ordered a vanilla latte, and it was excellent. The food is just as good as the drinks. I've had the pesto turkey sandwich and their breakfast sandwich, both served on their incredible homemade sourdough bread. The sourdough alone is worth coming back for. Service is also so good! Here's my honest feedback for this coffee place: To start off, the ambiance of this place is phenomenal! The greenery, design, and decor are beautifully done. It feels like a magical coffee shop where you'd want to come in for a meeting or to work. Plus, the lighting is amazing--definitely a great spot for Instagram pictures! The service, however, was disappointing. When we walked in, we didn't receive a friendly welcome. I understand it was morning, but the girl at the counter seemed uninterested and didn't offer any help, even though it was our first time there. The customer service was very poor. Our second visit was a complete 180 turn from our initial visit. Took over an hour to receive our food, 2 sandwiches and 2 cups of soup. We were told they were "backed up" even though at least three groups that arrived after us were getting their food. After we finally got our food, the girl that handed us the food decided to i guess stand up for the team unprompted. She said "We're backed up, Saturdays are busy. It's really pretty, clean and peaceful here. I tried the ' London fog' and wasn't sure what that was, but the barista was very helpful and told me it was earl grey tea with milk and she liked to add some other flavors. It was exactly what I needed, it was light and warm. The cinnamon roll was outstanding! I ate the whole thing and it was as big as my head. It was not overly sweet and had a wonderful texture. Sorry to say, the rosemary sourdough bread was so bad. It was really dry and with all the dry rosemary in the dough it's like chewing tree bark and pine needles. Cute place for afternoon tea/lunch etc... however their bread is not fresh. I went there on July 4th and asked the person behind the counter if the displayed bread was fresh and she said yes. After the purchase while walking to my car I noticed the bottom had green mold all over it. I brought it back in and inquired about the mold and the same person said grab the other one. I asked again if it was fresh and she said yes. Well upon turning the bread over, it also had mold on it. Obviously not fresh. I grabbed another type of bread that the baker confirmed was baked the same day and left. No one greets you when you walk in. They look annoyed like you're an inconvenience that they have to take your order. Came in on a Saturday with my friend. They were decently busy inside but we ordered our food, paid, and found a table easily. We shared a ham panini with chips, it was very good. Why 5 stars? Because our brief stay here was a win-win. --- --- --- After lunch, we came here for coffee and snacks. First of all, the place is super nice and not at all what I was expecting. It looks like a really large house from the outside (I was picturing more like a counter and a couple of small tables). Many of the treats had been picked over at this point, as it was only about 20 minutes until they closed, but we got a couple of cookies and a cinnamon roll. Food-wise, it is better to eat during the earlier hours. Things do sell out. I was meeting someone around 1PM so just worked with whatever they still had. I don't remember the name of what I ordered but it was basically a soufflé/quiche. Taste wise, I thought it was okay and wondered if I would've liked it more if I had it earlier in the day. I also got a matcha latte and can tell they use decent matcha. The fruit on the side was fresh and ripe. The cappuccino was warm and good. The sandwich was a pretty good portion and ingredients fresh. What a really fantastic place to come for coffe and a pastry. The aura here is unmatched, extremely calm and clean, with plenty of space inside and out. Its airy and inviting to just come out fellowship for a while and snack on some of the treats they make. The menu includes hot prepared foods. My breakfast sandwich on sourdough was simple, but very tasty and let the ingredients and bread do their thing. Chocolate Muffin we tried was a bit drier than I would've liked, but the flavor was spot on and not overly seeetned. My brown Sugar Latte was also quite special, the presentation was excellent and the drink itself was very enjoyable. The ordering system was a little different than I was used to, but I think it was just because they were a bit understaffed that early in the morning. So when a group of my friends and myself were deciding where to go for our monthly get together, I suggested we to try their new location. The interior of Manna Bread from Heaven is really well done. I was expecting the same high quality of food that the owner was well known for. Unfortunately, the quality of food does not match what this location has in aesthetics and ambience. Of the five people at our table, one person never received her order, the two chicken salad sandwiches had at best 2 tablespoons of chicken salad spread on an over baked, tough croissants that were far from fresh, the ham panini was soggy, and the turkey and cheese sandwich was just ok. Because I remembered how the original location was known for the delicious cinnamon rolls, always sold out, we decided to buy pastries to take home and those were just as disappointing, dense and tough. For the prices they charge, I was expecting really great food. I was really hoping this was going to be a place our group could include in our monthly outings, but sadly I don't think we will be returning. read more

I didn't take photos of the inside but as the name suggests it is a Christian owned business & the decor reminds me of the festival of tabernacles and the pastries and drinks are delicious and are aesthetically pleasing. We had two pastries (a sticky toffee cinnamon roll that someone had wrapped in paper, the paper got all stuck to it and we couldn't get it off so about half the pastry was inedible), an almond something that was nice but relatively bland, Aebleskivers which were beautifully displayed but we felt they were overpriced for what we received (three skewers with three little sphere pancakes on each skewer with strawberry slices in between them and a side of whipped cream/maple syrup- $12.00), the brisket sandwich which was dry, and the potato soup which came out room temperature and was severely lacking in salt and flavor. Coffee: 3 nothing great. Took 15-20 minutes to come out. The barista had a bad attitude and seemed angry when I placed my order. I asked for an Americano with a light pour of steamed creamer, they asked if I wanted a latte and specified that americanos were made with water. Yes, I'm aware. If I wanted a latte I would ask for a latte. They said they would have to charge me for steaming the cream into my Americano and they did not seem happy about it. My total was a little over $67.00. Would I come back? I wouldn't choose to dine there again with my family. But if I were alone and wanted a spot to read with a beautiful atmosphere, maybe. read more

There are also a lot of plugs for coming in to use the space as a study or work area. We didn't try any of the pastries, but they looked phenomenal. We each liked our food and the fruit was fresh. The description for the aebleskivers said that they were supposed to be filled and also come with chocolate chips, but the ones we got were just pancake balls on a skewer with strawberries (didn't special order them to be made different so I'm not sure if they are always made like this or not, but they were still good! I just would've preferred to have the chocolate chips haha). We would rate the food a 7/10, but that's only because the pancake balls and waffle were a little denser than we personally prefer. We have been here more times than I can count! My daughter has a wheat allergy so we really appreciate all the gluten free options - and they are delicious! Especially the cake balls (THE best!) the quiche and the lemon cookies. Aside from GF, the panini and tortilla soup is my favorite meal, but everything we've had there is delicious.
