I wanted to love this place, but I don't. I gave it three tries to be fair. For starters, it's a really pretty place! I like the idea of it. However, the staff is NOT friendly. No one greets you when you walk in. They look annoyed like you're an inconvenience that they have to take your order. The pastries look dry and are in the open where I've found flies and/or bugs flying around it every time I've come.. so I can't tell you if the pastries are actually any good since I skipped on it. That was enough to not want to order. Coffee is mediocre. Nothing special. Small and overpriced. The service, however, was disappointing. When we walked in, we didn't receive a friendly welcome. It's really pretty, clean and peaceful here. I tried the ' London fog' and wasn't sure what that was, but the barista was very helpful and told me it was earl grey tea with milk and she liked to add some other flavors. It was exactly what I needed, it was light and warm. The cinnamon roll was outstanding! I ate the whole thing and it was as big as my head. It was not overly sweet and had a wonderful texture. Sorry to say, the rosemary sourdough bread was so bad. It was really dry and with all the dry rosemary in the dough it's like chewing tree bark and pine needles. I really do like this place, but not when they are busy. During rush times, they really seem to be understaffed or the management is severely unorganized every time. Almost always have a 20+ min wait on coffee and a longer wait on the food. Came in on a Saturday at 10:20. Like was pretty long and stood in it for 15 minutes before I got to order. Ordered and then waited over 50 minutes for my food. Now they were busy, but not where all the tables were filled. Came in on a Saturday with my friend. They were decently busy inside but we ordered our food, paid, and found a table easily. We shared a ham panini with chips, it was very good. We also had the little pancakes on a stick and I think they were our favorite! They had chocolate chips and were really fluffy. I also ordered their mango matcha and it was delicious! It looks like a really large house from the outside (I was picturing more like a counter and a couple of small tables). Many of the treats had been picked over at this point, as it was only about 20 minutes until they closed, but we got a couple of cookies and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was especially amazing, but the cookies were also quite enjoyable. Food-wise, it is better to eat during the earlier hours. Things do sell out. I was meeting someone around 1PM so just worked with whatever they still had. I don't remember the name of what I ordered but it was basically a soufflé/quiche. Taste wise, I thought it was okay and wondered if I would've liked it more if I had it earlier in the day. I also got a matcha latte and can tell they use decent matcha. Even though I dined outside, there was someone who came out to check on me and see if I needed anything so thought that was positive on the service part. Overall, I think the place was good. What a lovely place! The ambiance is awesome. The place is clean and really unique. The people were extremely friendly. We got a cappuccino and a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit. What a really fantastic place to come for coffe and a pastry. The aura here is unmatched, extremely calm and clean, with plenty of space inside and out. Its airy and inviting to just come out fellowship for a while and snack on some of the treats they make. The menu includes hot prepared foods. My breakfast sandwich on sourdough was simple, but very tasty and let the ingredients and bread do their thing. Chocolate Muffin we tried was a bit drier than I would've liked, but the flavor was spot on and not overly seeetned. My brown Sugar Latte was also quite special, the presentation was excellent and the drink itself was very enjoyable. The ordering system was a little different than I was used to, but I think it was just because they were a bit understaffed that early in the morning. We have been here more times than I can count! My daughter has a wheat allergy so we really appreciate all the gluten free options - and they are delicious! Especially the cake balls (THE best!) the quiche and the lemon cookies. Aside from GF, the panini and tortilla soup is my favorite meal, but everything we've had there is delicious. We had two pastries (a sticky toffee cinnamon roll that someone had wrapped in paper, the paper got all stuck to it and we couldn't get it off so about half the pastry was inedible), an almond something that was nice but relatively bland, Aebleskivers which were beautifully displayed but we felt they were overpriced for what we received (three skewers with three little sphere pancakes on each skewer with strawberry slices in between them and a side of whipped cream/maple syrup- $12.00), the brisket sandwich which was dry, and the potato soup which came out room temperature and was severely lacking in salt and flavor. Coffee: 3 nothing great. Took 15-20 minutes to come out. The barista had a bad attitude and seemed angry when I placed my order. I asked for an Americano with a light pour of steamed creamer, they asked if I wanted a latte and specified that americanos were made with water. Yes, I'm aware. If I wanted a latte I would ask for a latte. They said they would have to charge me for steaming the cream into my Americano and they did not seem happy about it. My total was a little over $67.00. Would I come back? I wouldn't choose to dine there again with my family. But if I were alone and wanted a spot to read with a beautiful atmosphere, maybe. read more

I didn't take photos of the inside but as the name suggests it is a Christian owned business & the decor reminds me of the festival of tabernacles and the pastries and drinks are delicious and are aesthetically pleasing. I love this place! I live right next to where the old Manna used to be located, but I'm not even mad that they moved into this space because it's so cute! Lots of greenery. I got a cream puff (for free thanks to a Yelp check in offer) and their cookie butter latte. Both items were good! The service was great as well, the concept here is a little different in where you select your pastries yourself before checking out at the register, and the staff was helpful in explaining that. Updated review - Visited their new location on Commerce St. It's absolutely beautiful inside. Love the decor and it was super busy. The bread was still great and they also offer a breakfast sandwich and some lunch selections. They also have coffee and we had a latte with sugar-free almond vanilla flavor. The lattes were delicious and the bread was still as great as it was in the old location. My only disappointment is that they don't offer the chocolate chip scone which was my favorite (was told it can be pre-ordered), but can't pick it up on a whim. Also, the ordering process was a bit confusing with two sides to walk in on, but it's early in the re-opening, so I'm sure it will all be figured out as they settle into the new location. read more
