Who would've thought there'd be an authentic French bakery in Old Town Spring! The place is super cute inside and out... cozy shop in a village vibes. If you squint, you'll feel like you're in the countryside of France. The lady who was working was very sweet and enthusiastically explained all their different pastries to me. I ended up buying quite a few. They are quite generous with the butter! Every pastry tasted fresh and buttery. My favorite was the chicken mushroom one that I got, but the lemon meringue comes in at a close second. I highly recommend stopping by here if you happen to be in this area of town for some authentic French pastries!

Decided to try this place out. So glad we did they have so many options and we will be back to try more!

Croissants like you've never had them before. The chicken and mushroom pastry was so good too.

Great place to grab coffee and some pastries and pies. Parking is difficult to find in old town spring.

Wow what an amazing place! All the pastries are made from scratch and not only look incredible but taste equally so. The owners are so nice and friendly! Can't wait to go back and try everything! FYI they have great coffee too

Chefs kiss - Went to Old Town Spring this morning with my granddaughter and had the most wonderful service!! I bought goodies to take home and we also enjoyed a goodie while we were there.. Everyone please give them a try the deserts brought me back in time from when I lived in Europe and reminded me of how much I miss it..

This was such a wonderful French bakery tucked away in old town Spring. I found it while checking out the annual Mercer plant sale and so glad I did. It was a Saturday afternoon and OTS was popping, making parking very difficult to find. However, I was not deterred because pastries were on the line. Anyways, after parking and having lunch, we finally made our way to Chefs Providence. Its a small, unassuming shop with some outdoor seating. The owners were very nice, welcomed us, and gave us a quick rundown of some of their pastries and specials. I ended up going for a chocolate almond croissant, a pear almond tart, and a pistachio chocolate verrine. I would have gotten so much more but my wallet and my stomach could not afford anything else. The croissant was buttery with a perfectly bittersweet chocolate. Its become my current favorite croissant in Houston. The desserts were both super well balanced, not overly sweet, and flavors came through. The pistachio mousse was super light and creamy and went really well layered with a rich, dense chocolate cake, along with some whipped cream to lighten the whole dessert. The pear almond tart was very well baked with a subtley sweet almond base and very flavorful pears. I'm definitely impressed such a wonderful French bakery exists out here and sad it's a bit of a drive for me. However, I'dd definitely drive out for a pastry run and its a must stop for anyone in old town spring or wanting delicious pastries/desserts!

Absolutely delicious! This is the best place I've had an Almond Croissant. So crispy and flaky! It's smells wonderful as soon as you walk in. I stop by once a week if I can. :)

A must visit! The best pastries in Old Town Spring (in I'd say a good 20 mile radius, though Buren Bakery next door is quite good latin bakery). Authentic (and ridiculously delicious) French pastries and gift shop. Attentive and kind service. Quaint and adorable decorations complete with lots of Parisian touches.

And what better place than the shop I used to go to back in the 90's. Now I've never been to the woodlands location before. It's in that waterway district near the mall and so parking was sure to be a B. But this being thanksgiving week it actually wasn't half bad. The shop is smaller than the Richmond location. But that's just more goodness compressed into a TLP. There are no birthday specials alas. But they did have some free samples of tiramisu. It was good but I had to get my favorites. J's birthday cake and the Big O. The birthday cake is thicker like brownie than some of the other chocolate cakes. I can't describe the frosting this go around because my punk kid at all the frosting off it while my attention was focused on the Big O. But the cake part was moist. As for the Big O it was Ooooohhh. There were a small set of tables to sit inside and enjoy your treats if you wanted to. We got a variety of things to share, tres leches (this is okay, a little sweet and pretty standard), tiramisu, pecan pie bar (delicious but crumbly/messy to eat), Oreo truffles and confetti truffles (my nieces and nephew absolutely loved these)! It was pretty pricey, but always happy to support local businesses!

I'd been to one in Houston before, but just for coffee, but I had a good experience there, so I was down to try their food. There were a ton of great sweet and savory options on the menu, so ordering was a challenge, but we ended up grabbing a pretty big combination of both types of sustenance. Savory: I ordered the breakfast burger and it was really great. Normally I feel like an egg takes away from the flavor of a burger, but that was not the case here. I'm really pleased with my choice here, despite the temptation to go with several alternatives. 5-stars. My wife ordered the soft scramble, and I'll give it this: it was most definitely the softest, most gentle collection of eggs I've ever eaten. But I think I like my rendition of scrambled eggs better. 4-stars. Sweet: Pistachio Croissant: All boxes checked. 5-stars. Snickerdoodle Cookie: I offer all of my praise for this delight. 5-stars. Gingerbread whoopie pie: It wasn't called a whoopie pie, but that's what it was. Like the snickerdoodle cookie, I'm mad I had to share this. 5-stars. Coco-nut cookie: We thought this was a chocolate coconut cookie, but it turns out it was chocolate and nuts. Knowing this information, we would have opted for one of the other, more delicious looking cookies. It was still fine though. 3.5-stars. Drinks: I ordered the dragon fruit berry concoction with my meal, and in a rare moment of weakness, I couldn't resist the maple pecan cold brew, despite ordering black coffee 99% of the time. I'm here to say I enjoyed both of them very much, but the latter did taste more like a milkshake than a coffee. 5-stars for both, but I would definitely order the dragonfruit thing again. Way to go, Common Bond. Here I thought you were just a coffee place this whole time, but your food is pretty, pretty good too.

I had a couple dollar bills and sped to it before closing, did get cuernitos, cinnamon cookies, and my all time-fave conchas. The conchas were my favorite by far, the cinnamon cookies very powdery, sugary and dusty which is just the way I like it, the cuernitos however I was a little disappointed since they were rally hard even the center with the yellow which is my favorite part. It could be that I did get 2 out of the last 3 they had but I felt they were a little too small and hard for my comfort. The employee was direct and on the mission to check me out which I can understand when there is only 15 minutes until closing time OR perhaps the fact that there was a misfortunate " language barrier" which there wasn't but I like to believe that people miss that I too speak Spanish. The prices were a little higher than I typically pay at a Mexican bakery but I still managed to pay with the cash I had in hand. I will stop by one more time and give them another chance, when you make a late night trip close to closing you get slim pickin's and will come at a more reasonable time.
