I've visited this location twice, once for take out, and most recently with my family. I've tried several items: pan sobao, the mallorca sandwich, plain mallorca, the pan sobao sandwich, and the quesitos. I don't know of any other Puerto Rican bakery in the area, so I was excited when I heard they were opening. I was born and raised in PR, and I crave that true pan sobao taste. Nothing around here compares until now. Pan sobao is a slightly sweet, chewy bread that makes the best sandwiches, but it's also amazing on its own or with a little butter. I ordered a whole pound and only half made it home (sorry fam!). The flavor is genuinely authentic, just like what you'd get on the island and the same goes for their pastries. The mallorca is a soft, sweet roll dusted in powdered sugar and the mallorca sandwich is the perfect sweet and savory combo. The quesitos are flaky, creamy and perfectly made. The shop is small, so the line often goes out the door. They only have a few people working (from what I can tell), so if it's busy expect a wait.... good things take time! Seating is outdoors only, so I recommend visiting when the weather is nice or planning to take your food to go. It's located in Old Town Spring, which is a cute area with lots of small shops. If you live far like I do, it's worth making a day trip out of it! Overall, I'm genuinely impressed by the quality and authenticity of this bakery. I will keep coming back!

Located in Old Town Spring, I walked inside this bakery on a whim to look at their pastries. The workers were very enthusiastic when greeting me and answered all my questions to the best of their ability. I tried their Bavarian cream horn. Nice crisp and flaky exterior with a delicious vanilla custard-like filling!

A quaint puerto rican bakery located in old town spring. Service was decently quick for a Sunday. Their bakery items are delicious. I would recommend the mallorcas regular. It's a slightly sweet soft roll. Their coffee is good as well. They share a parking lot with other stores around. No indoor seating all outside.

Always amazing!!! Service, Ambience and of course the food is amazing!! The Mallorca sandwich and cappuccino were both amazing!! They never disappoint. Come here almost every week. My son loves the pan sobao.

Ordered the sabao Sandwich with egg/ham/cheese. Really good big portion and filling. And ordered a blueberry cream cheese pastry and latte (almond milk) really smooth coffee that I didn't even need sweetener for since the coffee is good on its own. The pastry was good similar to a donut with a cream cheese icing. There's no indoor seating but there is really cute seating out front. It's pretty cold outside otherwise would have eaten out front. Good service overall!

See the two sandwiches picture below? It took one hour to get them. One hour of waiting outside in the Texas heat because they don't have indoor seating. One hour w/o any communication from anyone on staff. If you told me it would take an hour for you to make a ham and cheese sandwich, I could have walked around the shops, but no, you let me sit there, stewing. You could have given me the quesitos I ordered, but you told me to wait for whatever reason. You didn't give me our drinks until asking you twice. You knew you had to go orders, you could have communicated that. The food is not memorable enough to be patient here. If you do want to try the bread here, call two hours in advance of your arrival. We noticed that's what people were doing. But honestly you shouldn't have to do that. All the other bakeries in the world have that down to a science yet this place misses the mark.

Pastries filled with guava and cheese, the space is there cause two of us shared one already

Ordered this Chinese-styled birthday cake over the phone on Wed for pick up on Saturday for a special birthday celebration for my dad. I described what we were seeking and she understood exactly what we wanted. It was ready and in a pretty sturdy box with birthday candles and a plastic cake knife. It had strawberries, grapes, canned peaches and kiwi. It was absolutely delicious and fed 14 adults for $52 and worth it. We would definitely order another from here as we saw so many other delicious cakes in the display when we went to pick up ours.

Then, I found out it's replaced by Anna's Bakery. I ordered a few pastries and had a very high expectation. I ate one of the egg custards from the buy 2 get one free tray. It tasted like a butter cookie crust with egg flavored something filling. I can't make out of the ingredients. Not custard not pudding. I sure don't like it. I bought other pastries and hoped they taste good. I went home to eat the layered cake. It's lightly sweet, which I liked. It also came in a cute gift box. The presentation was decent. As I was eating the Strawberry Cheesecake, I bit into a foreign object in the cream filling. It had chewy texture and definitely not cheese. I don't come to this part of town often. I just wanted to say that I am glad there is a bakery at this mall.

There are plenty tables and chairs for large groups. And sofas ( not in good condition at all... but sofas .. yes)... ya... big ones length wise. Pretty noisy actually. Good noise. Cheerful sharing while chilling over drinks and pastries - that kind of noise. Have been craving for fries lately and when I saw Common Bond, was very excited but they didn't carry the thick truffle fries which I was so fond of in the other Common Bond. Still, it was good fries and the staff was very friendly.... many high schoolers doing a summer job so they are super nice. They have a rewards program running - once registered, $spent is $earned in points which can be redeemed later. Staff was friendly and seemed like some of them were high schoolers or sort of, doing summer jobs so they were extra courteous and cautious - it was very much appreciated The fresh pastries were inviting and they had a big menu of other eats too. For me Common Bond and their specialty small dessert cakes went hand in hand. And this bakery did keep up that reputation- they had some sumptuous looking mini cakes. Definitely worth a visit.

I had a couple dollar bills and sped to it before closing, did get cuernitos, cinnamon cookies, and my all time-fave conchas. The conchas were my favorite by far, the cinnamon cookies very powdery, sugary and dusty which is just the way I like it, the cuernitos however I was a little disappointed since they were rally hard even the center with the yellow which is my favorite part. It could be that I did get 2 out of the last 3 they had but I felt they were a little too small and hard for my comfort. The employee was direct and on the mission to check me out which I can understand when there is only 15 minutes until closing time OR perhaps the fact that there was a misfortunate " language barrier" which there wasn't but I like to believe that people miss that I too speak Spanish. The prices were a little higher than I typically pay at a Mexican bakery but I still managed to pay with the cash I had in hand. I will stop by one more time and give them another chance, when you make a late night trip close to closing you get slim pickin's and will come at a more reasonable time.
