    Chocolate almond cookie

Beautiful cakes and baked goods, beautiful and clean interior, and lastly a wonderful group of workers there. The people behind the counter are always very attentive. One thing to note, If you are looking for something really sweet this isn't the place. The food I get from here is always very light with some sweetness to it. I never walk away from it thinking I'm going to have a heart attack from a sugar rush. In my opinion, they do it just right! I love their chocolate almond cookies. They go perfect with a cup of coffee!

    Packaging is thoughtful and adorable!

Quaint Asian-themed bakery on the north side, with sweet & savory baked goods, both warm & chilled options. There are many breads (some with fillings), in addition to several cakes, tarts, and more! You might find something exotic to delight your curious palette or a cute anime-themed treat. The presentation is lovely and the packaging is thoughtful & super cute. (It is grab-and-go style; you pile your selections onto a tray and check out at the counter.) The bakery setup and the products are equally adorable, appealing to a love for pop-culture and to the taste buds.

The first thing I look for when I go to new places is to see how clean it is, and six ping is clean, modern and has the cutest bakes goods! The cakes looked adorable, the little bags of cookies are cute as well, and the egg custard we got was delicious. We also bought a croissant type bread with sliced almonds on top that my husband enjoyed. The only down side is that there were no savory options that were vegetarian, but maybe they can take this review as constructive criticism and start baking some.

They don't have ice cream cakes available after covid begun. They also are very particular on what they can design outside or their normal. As for the cake flavors, it's more limited than their menu because you need to order specific sizes for certain flavors. I ended up settling with the hello kitty coffee cake flavor. The cake was moist and spongy but the coffee flavor was not strong. They provided candles for the cake free of charge and I think they only needed 2-3 days in advance for placing the order.

I don't have to drive all the way down to Chinatown for pastries in baked goods. I'm kind of sad as the selections are not the same. The Macarons to my surprise tastes phenomenal. I took home the strawberry, cotton candy, taro, Matcha tea dessert. They are so delicious

I ordered a cake for my mother's birthday and it was just as in the pictures on their website. The taste was amazing and not too sweet which is perfect for her since she's diabetic. Love the chocolate croissants too, they're exquisite!

Barbie prefers Seven And A Half Ping, but don't tell her I told you. Another excellent location of Six Ping. I'm starting to think there are more than six of these things. They have questionable service and good products and some of the prices are high, whereas other things are a pretty good deal. I really enjoy their Mochi type dessert when they have it.

Stumbled upon this place after a nice lunch at a pho + seafood place next door. I was so excited when I saw such cute pastries and desserts, particularly the brown bear mousse cake. How could I not have gotten one? It was just so adorable and bears are my favorite animal. I was almost sad to have to ruin the aesthetic of it in order to eat it, but I can say that it tasted great as it looked. I enjoyed every bite, almost indefinitely. I also got a bunch of other baked goods which I found delicious as well. I did enjoy the cake more than the baked goods though. Some of the bread wasn't the softest or as moist as I hoped it would be, but regardless, I did still enjoy it. I'd definitely come back, maybe not to this location as it was a bit far, but there are several other locations that are closer to me.

    Sweet bun
    Moquita Q.

Some of the best sweet buns I've ever tasted. Perfectly golden, inside is soft and almost cake like, you can taste the sweetness, it's almost like a custard when warmed. These buns pair nicely with pulled pork or some kind of pork dish! I ended up purchasing about 3 of their sweet buns. I didn't end up trying anything else but I promised myself I would try something different each time I came here.

Cant remember the name but I don't think the fruit went with the chocolate. Didn't like this one.
    Mikka H.

First time trying this bakery, 02.14.20 Unsure about the fruit tart haven't tasted that one yet. Didn't care for the american flag slice the fruit inside created like a weird after taste. The pink macaroon one was a bit bland since it was just chocolate cake and whipped cream. The waltz was pretty good a lot of whipped cream. But it was a good hit at the gathering I went to last night. For the prices I will definitely be back to try more!

The mango is always incredibly fresh, juicy, and perfectly sweet. My go-to order is the Mango Pancake, which is light, fluffy, and not overly sweet. The fresh mango in the center is definitely the star of the show, pairing perfectly with the airy whipped cream. The delicate pancake wrapper has a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture that ties everything together beautifully. This visit, I decided to switch things up and try the Mango Coconut Sago drink. It was generously sized and incredibly refreshing. The creamy coconut complemented the sweet mango perfectly, and the drink had an almost slushy texture that was ideal for a hot Houston day. The sago added a fun, chewy texture that made every sip even more enjoyable. The service has always been quick, and the employees are consistently friendly and helpful, making each visit a pleasant experience. If you're looking for a refreshing dessert, a quick snack, or a delicious drink to beat the heat, I definitely recommend stopping by. Whether it's your first visit or your fifth, this place is always worth the trip!

When I stopped by on a weekday evening at 9pm it was packed. They had stations setup throughout the store to order different goods, which helped to alleviate the rush. Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. For example, with the Turkish delights and ice cream selections, only a few items are labeled. For most of them, you have to guess the flavor or ingredients. When I asked questions, there was a language barrier, and the staff member behind the counter was unable to clearly explain what the items were in English. This can be especially frustrating for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions. In the U.S., I would expect all flavors and ingredients to be clearly labeled so customers can make informed choices. Even if staff members are not fluent in English, having accurate labels for flavors and ingredients would greatly improve the customer experience. The desserts themselves are excellent, but better product labeling would make the experience much more enjoyable and accessible for everyone.

Since we were already in the area after breakfast at TJ's Filipino Cuisine, we finally got the chance to stop by and try their baked goods for ourselves. We arrived early, so the bakery wasn't too busy yet. The bakers were busy prepping more goodies in the back while my cousin and I browsed all the Filipino baked goods we really miss from back home in the Philippines. They even had suman, sapin-sapin, biko, and other kakanin, which was nice to see. I specifically looked for the chicken empanada, and my cousin wanted to try the ube white chocolate chip cookie. We also saw different kinds of siopao and planned to come back later to buy some before heading back to San Antonio. We tried the ube white chocolate chip cookie first, but honestly we weren't totally satisfied. It tasted more like a regular white chocolate chip cookie with purple coloring and didn't really have much ube flavor. I also tried the chicken empanada. My cousin didn't like it because it was sweeter than expected--we were both expecting it to be savory. There seemed to be caramelized sugar in the outside of the pastry, which probably added to the sweetness. I still like it, though it was definitely sweeter than what I'm used to. Red Ribbon's chicken empanada is still my favorite. Later that day before leaving Houston, we came back for the siopao we planned to take home. We finally decided to just buy a couple pieces for ourselves, heat them up in the bakery, and try them fresh. When we saw the price for a four-pack, we were honestly disappointed. It felt expensive for the size. The siopao wasn't huge, and while I like the dough, there wasn't much chicken filling inside. For the portion, taste, and quality, it felt overpriced. Overall, it's probably not worth making another trip back for us. We did enjoy the cassava ube suman, and I like the chicken empanada, but not enough to drive all the way to Houston just for those. If I live nearby, I might come back to try other baked goods, but based on this visit, I'm not sure the rest would impress my palate. I still give them credit for cleanliness and customer service, although we did notice fruit flies on one of the shelves and reported it. The staff was friendly, and the bakery itself was welcoming. At the end of the day, since they're a bakery, the expectation is great-tasting, quality, mouthwatering Filipino breads, pastries ", and kakanin. While some items were enjoyable, overall it just didn't quite live up to the hype for us.
