While I miss the old coffee shop that used to be at this location, Brooklyn Cafe is slowly winning me over. Their coffees are always good and the breakfast tacos are absolutely fantastic. Love that there is indoor and outdoor seating, too :)

The place is cute. Love the decor. The portions are small except for the pancakes. They messed up our order and forgot the sides and did not acknowledge or correct it. Not happy about that, but the lavender and honey with oat milk latte was delicious. Will try their other location. It is definitely worth checking out. I'm

The service was great. The woman working the counter was very friendly and our food came out quickly. The restaurant has plenty of sitting and they do bring your food to your table which is always nice. As for the food itself, it's okay but not outstanding. We ordered the veggie tacos, Mediterranean wrap, and a build your own bagel. The bagel was a little dry and the tacos a little unseasoned but the wrap was pretty good. The drink I ordered was also great. Overall this location has its good and it's less good so might be worth checking out on your own.

Coffee was not good, so what else should be good in a coffee shop?. :( Me and my husband had Lattes but we didn't taste the coffee in itself

It's cleaner, nicer, and feels more welcoming as soon as you walk in. The atmosphere alone makes it a much more enjoyable place to eat. The service was also a big improvement. The staff here were friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. It felt like they actually cared about the customers and wanted you to have a good experience. What surprised me the most was the food. It's the exact same menu as the original location, but somehow it tasted better here. Everything came out fresh, hot, and really well prepared. I'll be honest, I had a pretty bad experience at the original location before, which made me hesitant to try this one. But I'm really glad I did because it completely changed my opinion. At this point, I may never go back to the original location again--but I will definitely be coming back to this one. Highly recommend giving this location a try.

We were looking for a diner or local café with good food and, given its rating on Yelp, we decided…read moreto try this place. The menu options are huge in this diner and I really wasn't sure quite what to expect. Good news was our welcoming waitress named Candyce who was very friendly, answered questions and made suggestions. Mr. Picky has a sweet tooth and wanted to order just pancakes, but I bullied him into ordering one of their FIT omelettes (shrimp and avocado) and then they very kindly substituted two pancakes for the side of fruit. I was eyeballing the Reuben on the menu and when I asked the waitress to name her favorites, that was one of them and so I went ahead and ordered it with fried zucchini and onion rings. The latter two fried things we both liked, the Reuben was just average, but the omelette was loaded with mushrooms and onions which helped make it taste good (the kitchen did a good job on that omelette to put lots of stuff on it and send it to the table looking substantial and tasty). As they close at 3 PM, they don't have desserts at this particular location, and so we shared the Strawberry cheesecake pancakes to finish the meal. Overall, this is not a "4.7" level restaurant but that was on only 12 reviews. I might stop in again if I was running down Kuykendahl and needed a quick bite, but the good news was the price. We got all that food for $39.20 plus tip, a really great deal, and our waitress was great!

Thanks owners for thinking of that small touch that is actually huge for us ladies. I also enjoyed the hand exfoliant and the body butter in the restroom as well. Ok....Moving along to why everyone's here. My guest just had a classic breakfast of eggs, sausage and we added in the lemon cream cheese pancake. I had a sweet tooth and this did the trick. The pancake was soft, fluffy and not an overwhelming sweet from the lemon cream cheese. but enough to cure the craving, All of his food was seasoned well. I had the Chilaquiles and it was so full of flavor. The chicken breast was cooked just right and the addition of corn and abundance of veggies in the dish was a welcoming surprise. It was a very hearty but clean meal. The wait staff was fantastic. Both bartenders (One was from Hawaii- forgot his name) were very welcoming and communicative. The restaurant manager along with owner also came by to greet and check on us. Last but not least, they were celebrating The 4th of July with $2.50 martinis. What a steal!!! I have heard that their happy hour is very decent for the price and the quality that you receive. I said all of that to say, this spot should definitely be on the list for any occasion or time of day.

I loved how bright and inviting the restaurant felt, and the staff were just as welcoming and kind. Now let's get into the food. The kids ordered pancakes and when those plates hit the table... Meanwhile, I went in a completely different direction with the **Greek Salad**, and OMG it hit the spot. Fresh, loaded with toppings, and every bite had a little bit of everything. I have zero complaints about that salad. Between the friendly service, bright atmosphere, good food, and a menu with enough variety for everyone to find something, this was an easy win for us. The Toasted Yolk has officially been added to our breakfast rotation. We'll definitely be back and judging by that menu, I already have some exploring to do.
