We got the 4 layer chocolate cake which comes with a scoop of your choice of ice cream. Rocky Road was good and the cake even better being not super sweet but very moist and chocolaty. The prime rib sandwich isn't on the menu but comes with a slice of prime rib (cooked medium with no redness). BLT was slightly better in my opinion. Potato salad was creamy and the house garden salad was very standard. The dreamsicle float is vanilla ice cream with a bottle of Boylan's orange soda. Not quite a dreamsicle in taste but very tasty nevertheless.

I was torn…read morebetween a few choices, but I was craving beef noodle soup so I ended up having the pleasure of trying this restaurant for the first time. The restaurant is in a large strip mall and parking was plentiful. We arrived around 11:30 am on a Saturday and were surprised to see that the restaurant was empty. The waitress seated us promptly and was friendly. The decor is simple. The beef noodle soup was amazing! The broth was very hearty and flavorful; the meat was perfectly cooked and super tender and the noodles were the perfect accompaniment to the spectacular dish! The xiao long bao were also delicious. The wrapper was sturdy and the meat was well seasoned with a generous amount of soup. I like how each XLB was served in a foil container so that you don't have to worry about the soup dripping all over the place. The oil spill noodle had excellent flavor, but I wish I had ordered the hand pulled noodle. The fried fish was piping hot and crispy with a nice Sichuan kick. My diagnosis: one of the best beef noodle soups in the Houston area with other solid Asian staples!

Hidden gem alert! My family was on our way to a Yelp Elite event up in Spring, TX, and in true Yelp…read morefashion, we decided to take the opportunity to try and support a local business with plans to write a review. So I did a search for Chinese food on Yelp nearby and voila! Noodle Kitchen we shall try. Now the ratings overall are good, but interestingly the vast majority of the reviews within the past year are all 5 stars. How is that possible? Could this place really be that good yet I've never tried it? The curiosity is killing you, I know. So let's dive in. Parking is always a big deal for me, and in this case, parking was no problem. It's a big parking lot with basically unlimited spots as it's in a large strip center. So far, so good. We arrived on a Saturday around 11:30 am hoping to beat the lunch rush - mission accomplished. We were the only ones there. Whenever I try a new Chinese restaurant that offers xiao long bao (AKA soup dumplings AKA XLB), I gotta try it. So we did. And it was excellent. The key is to suck the soup out of the hole on top. And If there is no hole, make one with a chopstick, and you won't spill the precious soup out of the dumpling. They also brought out the special XLB soy sauce with ginger. It was wonderful. Next we gotta get the beef noodle soup. And oh my, dare I say it: it might be the best I've ever had. Call me crazy, but don't call me crazy until you've tried it yourself. The broth was so rich and deep in flavor. I absolutely loved it. Zoom in on my photo. You'll salivate. The hot oil spill noodle was good but not great. I wish the noodles were hand-pulled like I'm used to (I'm spoiled, I know), but it was still good. And lastly, the crispy spicy fish fillet was quite good but a bit pricey and small in portion. The fish from Dumplings and Noodles by Cooking Girl is better, but the fish here is definitely something I would order again. So there you have it for food. Overall - very impressive and I would definitely come back and drive 45 minutes just for the braised beef noodle soup. The service was also really good. There was one older Asian lady who took care of us from beginning to end and she was great. Lastly the ambiance was surprisingly pleasant. Restaurant was spacious, clean, and they even have claw machines for entertainment. The big wonder is, for a restaurant so good, where are the customers? It was quite empty for a Saturday lunch, and we only saw a few to go orders while we were there. This is Spring's well-kept secret when it comes to Chinese food. Enjoy!

The food was very good!…read more I was hesitant at first because some of the menu seemed to be fusion items. In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.
