New chef, new owners, new design on the inside, and the food was really good before, but now it's great! Literally nothing I would change. We had the sweet-and-sour pork and the happy family lunch, which comes with eggroll and soup. For $12, you can't beat the price. But whatever the price, the food was fantastic and the service was great! The interior is so much cleaner and more welcoming than it was before. read more

The food is consistent! We like several of this dishes we've eaten here. The service was good, we arrived ahead of the dinner hour so we beat the small crowd of other diners. The only issue was being overcharged when we went to settle the tab. When our check was given it was $81, after questioning and discussion our bill was $42. We were happy for the immediate correction. read more

New cook, new owner, food was delicious, generous portions and reasonable price. I had shrimp with mixed vegetables, my bf had cashew chicken. Hot and sour soup and egg rolls were good. read more

The service was great. We got orange chicken lunch combo. And beef with mushrooms combination plate. You get an entree, Eggroll and fried rice for 11.95. The egg rolls were not frozen ones, they were hand made with care. Vegetable egg rolls I think, but pork rolls were on menu too. Orange chicken is better than at Panda Express. Try it from this little place instead. You'll get a nicer portion, better flavor and great prices. We also ordered beef with mushrooms. The beef is tender and velveted. It was too spicy for my husband. The waitress said they can make it not spicy, just ask. Hot &Sour soup is so good, so much flavor. We got won ton 2 dumplings in a cup. You get a basket of fried wonton strips with a double tray of hot mustard and duck sauce. We had our strips with our soup. Can't wait to come back. It will be soon. read more

Food was all phenomenal! Best Chinese restaurant in town hands down! Eduardo, our server was great and juggling so much at once but still making sure we got everything we needed! The music was lovely to listen to as well overall a great experience! We will be coming back! read more

They have updated their menus and their cash register. However, they do not state anywhere on the menu or in the restaurant that there is a 3% up charge for using a credit card. I do believe this is illegal!!! Asked to speak to the manager and was told he was conveniently not in. What restaurant operates without a manager? This used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant in Tomball. Will not be back again!! read more

Been eating there for years under old ownership and had delicious food now it's okay but old owners were awesome

The food was good much better than before .under new management. Looks a lot more comfortable

I ordered the spicy chicken. it's my absolute favorite dish. I save my going out money to order and I always delete the bell pepper and onionkeeping everything else in dish especially the jalapeño. just received dinner for my family two of the same dish and soup and the spicy chicken dish came with just chicken. spicy chicken with no spice??? you think....easy, everyone makes mistakes they will make it right....wrong. I was told they made a mistake and sorry. they can't refund me, they can't send the correct order out. they can give me some free egg rolls next time I order???? I didn't even order egg rolls...don't want them. I'm sad to say that this is my last time to order. it is my favorite but if they cannot stand by their product and fix their mistakes I'm not interested . read more

The restaurant is under new owners and a new chef. We ate here and it is absolutely delicious. I wish I would have taken pictures. Mongolian beef was just perfect. Orange beef was also outstanding. This will be our new go to place for Chinese food!!!!!!! read more

Amazing food. Always order take out because it smells like smoke if you eat inside. My wife order from here at least once a month

We went with a large party. Sorry we did kinda overwhelm them. The staff worked hard for us, but the food was ok.

Absolutely love eating here food always come hot an fresh I always order food extra extra spicy comes out perfect every time

We were the only customers here late one night. The food, service and price was good. Yes we will come back, for those reasons. Having said that the meal wasn't a grand slam yet it was good enough for a repeat visit. read more

Oh my gosh best Chinese food I have in a while! I ordered the General Tso Dinner Special. The chicken was amazing; the egg roll was amazing; and the wonton soup was amazing! The price was cheap and the food was great. Definitely recommend this place for take out read more

Still the best General Tso's in town. Literally eaten at the restaurant my entire life. It's changed over the years but the food is still good read more

UPDATE: They have been bought out, and we like the food and portion sizes better than before. The customer service is MUCH better too!

Since this place has new ownership and management. I've seen major improvements just in the quality of the food and timely service. Had the Mongolian beef and add chicken to it, that homemade chili oil gives a lot of extra flavor. Raphael was very accommodating to the changes that I requested for the food, gave spatular service. Awesome awesome job. I highly recommend this place. read more

the best Chinese food restaurant of the century by far I loved the food and would recommend it. (Allen Morales) was the best server.

Basically microwaved Chinese food. I honestly don't know how it's still open. My husband and I wanted to try something different so we popped in because we love hole in wall restaurants because they tend to be much better than other regulars.. not this place. I had the Beef With Broccoli while my husband had General Tso Chicken which he says is just Tyson chicken nuggets rolled in sauce. ‍ read more

Good spot right off of Main Street super friendly staffed the orange chicken is amazing definitely recommend

2 dishes were not burnt, but cooked in a pan that was burnt. Both looked okay, but tasted like charcoal.not enjoyable at all.

I ordered through door dash, and the hot and sour soup literally smells like hot piss. I couldn't even taste it because the sour smell was so pungent I gagged. read more

Best tofu I have ever had in my life!!! I call in and pickup my order before I get to work, I must say the service is very good and they are very accommodating with changing my order around. Not sure what sauce they use in the tofu but it is top tier and taste amazing. The mixed vegetables are so delicious I just love going there knowing that the food will be and taste great! This is my go to Chinese! read more

This Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem. Great food at great prices. Best lunch ever.

We are working in the Tomball area and have been here since February. We searched for a good Chinese restaurant and decided to try Golden Pagoad. We love it and the owners are so friendly . We go at least once a week for lunch . My favorite is the Hunan Shrimp or the orange chicken . My husband gets shrimp fried rice or Mongolian beef . We've never been disappointed with quantity nor quality . read more

I purchased Hunan beef, i was told they only put green onions. I also ordered 2 egg rolls. I got home to eat. I opened up container and saw a huge pile of fried white onions with a few pieces of beef. I tasted it and it was bland and tasteless. I could hardly believe so many friends onions, it tasted awful. I bit into the egg rolls, they were about half the length of a normal eggroll and very thick breading with very few vegetables. Terrible! I will never go there again, this mistake cost my $16 for the egg roll and Hunan beef. Pricey but the added poor quality food ads insult to injury. read more

Have driven by many times over the years and never stopped wanting Chinese today decided to try out their lunch. Really great prices so we're worried the quality wouldn't be there. Very pleasantly surprised. Generous portions and freshly made. Delicious. Highly recommend supporting this local business. Staff were super nice and very welcoming. Try it out!! read more

We have been going to Golden Pagoad for years. Management had changed hands over the years. but the food and service has remained the same, excellent. Best Chinese food anywhere plus best prices. read more

Ordered lunch here today because of the good reviews here. Not sure why anyone likes this place... The fried rice is gross. It's probably a couple days old since the rice was so hard and dry. The hot and sour soup has too much vinegar and hardly anything in it. Kung pow chicken was alright and the Hunan beef was not good. Lastly, the egg roll was very bland. Will never come here again. There's a lot better places than this. read more

First of all - Chinese is not usually my first choice so that is why only 4 stars. It might well be worth a four or five star review depending on your taste. For Chinese food, this is nice place to go. It is located at the back of a small shopping center in the middle of Tomball. It is easy to get into and the food seems to be freshly made. This is my second trip here for lunch primarily because it is such a good deal for the amount of food yo get. Egg Drop Soup - very good. Not usually a big fan of soup but this stuff is amazing. It must have a half stick of butter or something in it because it is flavorful. General Tso Chicken - Nicely fried chicken with the right amount of breading. Not a huge fan of the sauce but it is not too bad. Kung Pao Chicken - nice amount of vegggies and a little spice without being too much. I may see if I can get the chicken from the General in my Kung Pao next time. Egg Rolls - seems hit or miss. First time was not so fresh - this time they were excellent. Had both fried and white rice - they are OK but a little clumpy. Still, not too bad. Certainly give this place a shot if you are in the mood for a little Chinese and happen to be in Tomball. If nothing else - it won't break the bank. read more

Where are used to enjoy getting food from here so I'm not sure if they changed cooks or what but we took my parents tonight and got four different dishes and all of them were absolutely awful. The server was doing his best but he was swamped trying to manage the phones and all of the tables. My parents said this is the worst restaurant they've ever eaten at and so did my husband and I have to agree. It was a waste of $50 for just the two of us plus what my parents paid on top of that. read more

Have visited this restaurant twice in the past three weeks. First, with a dear friend. Owner waited on us, not terribly friendly, but adequate, older woman, presumably wife, brought our food. Extremely curt and rude. The food here is quite good, and plentiful, very nice, quiet ambiance, however, I will not go back. Stopped in today to order Hot and Sour soup for my sick Hubby, same mean, gruff lady, snatched money out of my hand and delivered food, with a scowl. Sorry she isn't liking what she is doing. Such a shame....lovely food. read more

I've been going here since I was in intermediate school, I'm in college now. Best restaurant in Tomball. It's family owned, fast service. Very very very good food. They are SO amazing, I go here several times a week! Good price and such good food! read more

We ordered takeout last night so we could spend some time doing christmas activities. Alot of food but the breading on sweet and sour chicken was so thick hard to find the chicken and was only given half a little container of sauce. My moo goo gai pan was gray and lacked flavor. We asked for chili sauce and sweet and sour and told it was in the bag. It was not. Overall not happy this time with the food at all. read more

This has the worst Chinese food i have ever eaten. Does not deserve even one star. Very unfriendly cold people. Went for carryout and the prices are twice that than online.
