Great service and great prices for lunch menu with large servings. Very delicious!! Will definitely go back

So this was my second time coming to this restaurant. The first time I came I wrote a raving review that was even featured. I brought my family here a second time now with my son. Ordered the same amazing family dinner special and even had the same waitress. Was hoping for a similar experience to the first time. However this time was completely different! Our waitress this time was rude and cold. I ordered the same meal as last time that comes with wonton soup. I was looking forward to my soup. My first sip, and then I felt something hard and sharp in my mouth. I spit it out and it was a hard sharp piece of plastic (from those to go soup container's, apparently learned that one had broken off and fell into their main batch of soup! Found this out later when I finally spoke to a manager who looked into it) However when I first brought it to my waitresses attention, she tried to tell me it's probably just rice. I told her to look at it and I put it in her hand! Why did she look at it, take it and then stormed off with an attitude, only then to speak to her colleagues in Chinese laughing! Her solution was bring me more soup. And she didn't even tell the manager. I trusted it and did go with a new soup. Which the next cup was fine. I was going to brush it off. Until it happened a second time! In the same dinner session. My son ordered egg drop, he didn't like his. So I requested to please switch him to the wonton soup. And the waitress had an attitude and walked away throwing her arms up in the air. When she came to hand him his wonton soup she aggressively set it down onto the table where it spilled. I was just so appalled by her energy and attitude tonight compared to the last time we were here. And we were THE ONLY ONES in the restaurant! It wasn't like it was super busy! She only had ONE TABLE to tend to! So again, as if it couldn't get any worse, my son goes to enjoy his wonton soup and he spits out a smaller piece of hard plastic. Same plastic I had in mine. At this point I know it's in the soup and know this is unacceptable! I'm pregnant and my son is young. Now I go up to the front and show my waitress it's happened again and ask for a manger, with an attitude she gets her manager. And her manager offers me another cup of soup as the solution!!! Like wtf! This is the second time this happened and I learned the first time our waitress never even told her manager! They are all speaking Chinese aggressively and of course we have no idea what they are saying! The manager goes to the back to investigate and learns what caused it. Then she offers to take the soup off the bill (mind you our meals come with soup). Then she offers 10% off or we can just leave and waste the rest of our food. My husband at this point is angry and appalled by how they aren't taking this serious at all! I still wanted my actual meal bc I was craving it. So the manager ends up giving us 25% off the bill. We accepted that and took the rest of our food to go. I told the manager about our waitresses attitude and how unacceptable it is, and she just blamed it on her English not being the best. Smh. Definitely the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant and I will not be back to this place again! I'll find another Chinese spot to fall in love with. I once recommended this place, now I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! STAY AWAY! Tonight I was so disappointed. read more

We have been coming here for years. Always been very good and consistent. This time it was different veggie dumplings were doughy and chewy. The main dish of beef and shiitake mushrooms was bland and beef was not very good. It look like an ownership change but can't confirm. read more

Their Hot and Sour Soup is the best in the Houston area! The lunch portions are just the right size. A little bit of everything - a main, an egg roll and some soup. The only con is the egg roll in the container when you get it to go always gets smushed. read more

I almost did not give this place a chance because the recent reviews were not good. I'm so glad I did though! The pineapple fried rice portion was HUGE! The general tsos game with so much sauce I was so happy since a lot of places don't give enough sauce. Will be back! read more

Food was too "westernized" to satisfy my Chinese food craving. Perhaps from lack of cooking expertise in this sort of cuisine or bad recipes are to blame, but none of the dishes tasted authentic... Tasted more "Panda Express" than family kitchen, if you get my drift. We ordered delivery on a late Friday night. The food came out hot, fresh, and well-packaged, so I'll give them that. But, that's where the appeal ends. Using spaghetti noodles in lieu of actual lo mein noodles was the first faux pas (the al dente cook to the noodles rejected the sauce). The fried rice was a bit too dry - from the stale rice that wasn't cooked down properly to the hard peas & carrots (that resembled the freeze-dried veggies in a cup of instant noodz). And, the sesame beef tasted "gooey" from an overly-thick batter that absorbed the too-gelatinous sauce. The flavors were okay, but the textures were a tad offensive. We got the happy family and sweet and sour chicken. The food was fresh as it could be. Really good. Service was fast keeping my drink full and the food came out quickly. The overall dining experience could be casual but it's a nice enough place where you could dress up and enjoy your meal. read more

I wanted to rate it at "4" and just write down that it was an "3.5", but I can't. The dining experience in terms of food was just mediocre. You can tell by looking at the restaurant that at one time somebody really cared about this place and put a lot of loving energy into decorating it and so forth. The food coming out of the kitchen tasted as if the person was on an hourly wage and didn't have a lot of experience cooking authentic Chinese food. I have eaten Chinese food in the bowels of London down dark alleys where menus were only in Chinese and you either were able to manage it yourself or have someone with you who could read and speak Mandarin, and the food was spectacular in that case. What I ate today just barely registered in comparison. We started with the chicken Moo Shu which was a generous serving and actually wasn't bad. And then we shared the very lackluster Sweet & Sour shrimp. Sad. There was obviously a time when somebody loved this place and cooking delicious food for guests, but maybe that's just back in the annals of time. I have eaten here for quite sometime. I have had it with the horrible customer service. The main problem is EVA!!!! She is consistently RUDE. She does not care about the customers concerns. I would not reccomend going here if you want to be treated with courtesy and respect. Eva should NEVER be serving customers. Her attitude is NASTY and DISRESPECTFUL. I will not return to this place. Service was spot on. Food came in a timely manner and they always were attentive to our drinks. 4 in our party. One had Mongolian Beef (5 stars), one had Happy family (I think I will get that next time I go there) it had lots of veggies and meat in a brown sauce, one had Shrimp with Lobster sauce (4 stars as it could have been seasoned more), one had Shrimp With walnuts (she said she liked it). After going to a doctor's appointment, my brother and I decided to stop and have lunch at our favorite neighborhood restaurant, We have always enjoyed the friendly service, and atmosphere. We have even had food delivered to our residence on numerous occasions, due to the fact you are close to where we live. We arrived at the restaurant today, January 15, 2026 around 12:30pm to enjoy the lunch menu. We were greeted by a young Caucasian female, she showed us to a table. After a few minutes, the same young Caucasian female asked me what I would like to drink, I stated that I wanted some hot tea, she went on to proceed to inform me that they had jasmine, and some other flavor that I didn't hear her say. She walked away in a confused manner. Our thoughts were that she might be going to the back in the kitchen to see what other flavors of tea that your establishment offered. We sat and waited for a few minutes, and noticed that the young Caucasian female had went back to the front desk and began helping a customer with her order. I proceeded to the front to ask her what had happened. She proceeded to tell me in a sarcastic tone of voice that I had told her that I wanted a waiter. I was baffled at the statement, and informed her that I didn't even ask for a waiter, I was just asking about the tea. She did apologize stating that was what she heard. I asked her why she didn't even bother to ask my brother what he wanted to drink. She then proceeded to push the kitchen door in an aggressive manner to inform the other young lady that had been waiting on people, that they are mad and you need to wait on them in a rude and sarcastic tone of voice. At that moment the other young lady did come to take our orders, we informed her that was not necessary and that were leaving the restaurant. That entire incident was unnecessary and very unprofessional. That young Caucasian female needs to be trained on how to listen, and conduct herself in a professional manner when dealing with the public. The food is great , due to the lack of professionalism with the service we encountered we will not be coming back to this restaurant in the future, and will let our business associates, and neighbors to be cautious of dining inside this restaurant during lunch hours, or even spending their money at such a place that hires employees with no courteous, or professionalism. Do not get the lobster sauce shrimp, and do not order the dumplings. The pork dumplings were undercooked and super soft but they were supposed to be pan fried crispy, then the "lobster sauce" was a clear slimy substance with white streaks in it... it wasn't actual sauce more like a nasty juice. Best Chinese food around. Always fresh and plentiful. The house won ton soup has the flavors of wonton soup that many others can't create. The size of the wontons are also larger than most while having that flavor I mentioned. There's plenty of vegetables, chicken, beef and a few shrimp. This is my go to meal with a side order entree such as Happy Family. The general Tso chicken a piece of the chicken was a little raw so I spit it out the rest was cooked. The general tso with white rice no egg roll no soup was $12 how is that $12 usually if it's that price I get a egg roll or soup especially with a dinner speciality. We was charged a little over $8 for chicken fried rice my husband said he was told it was big it was small just in a different container not worth $8 our usual place we get a combination container filled with fried rice. Ordered Kung Pao, and I don't recall them putting broccoli in it before. but it was loaded up this time for sure, almost entirely broccoli with peanuts and 4 small pieces of chicken.
