The food was good, but some dishes were better than others. We ordered take out on a Saturday. The restaurant is located in the plaza near the H-E-B on Tuckerton. We ordered 2 lunch specials and a kid's chicken lo mein . The lunch special was a smaller portion than I anticipated and it came with rice. It also came with a choice of either soup or an egg roll. The general tsos chicken was a bit dry , but the mango garlic chicken I really liked. It didn't look that appealing (all one color), but it was a nice sweet and savory flavor. The kid's chicken lo mein was the best dish we ordered. I would order it again in regular size. I would say it's more of a 3.5 vs a 3 rating, but good for a quick take out meal near by. read more

We decided to give them a try, we usually go to North Harbor for Chinese food. BIG MISTAKE. Service was terrible. They quoted 50 minutes to prepare the order, but it took 1 hour 15 minutes. To compensate, I got two free egg rolls on an $80 order. That's more of an insult. They should have waived the tip, or something meaningful. Also, the staff at the register were complaining about getting yelled at, and she was almost in tears about it. No idea if it was happening in the back of the restaurant or if it was a personal matter, but I was pretty uncomfortable. North Harbor is right down the street, just drive past this place and go to North Harbor - the do a better job of valuing their customers. read more

I have had the crab Rangoon, hot and soup soup, chicken fried rice spicy (very tender chicken), Kung Pao delight (trio - shrimp, chicken, and beef (not too fond of the beef part)), Mongolian beef (didn't like this as much as other places), and chicken lo mien spicy. I am very disappointed in my food, I ordered Generals Chicken and my daughter ordered Orange Chicken, the food came out in about 4-5 minutes which in some situations would be great but when chicken is involved it's not a good sign and usually means they are batch cooking and reheating when ordered in sauce which is dangerous. Next was the size of the chicken pieces which were so large they were basically quartered chicken breast or 2 inch by 2 inch cubes and was not at all what I was looking for and prefer sliced thighs in this dish (I should have asked) the sauce was nice and what I was looking for but everything is thrown off by the giant overcooked pieces of chicken breast. read more

Everytime we come here we enjoy our food. It's delicious and high quality. My favorite thing is the service. So friendly and professional. I usually only order the Fried Rice because that's my favorite and they make a good one. Lots of to go orders being placed here. But it's nice enough to come and sit and eat too. This is our family's go to Chinese food spot. I always order the chicken lo mein, which is delicious. But I didn't know that I could get a kids size! I will definitely start ordering it that way because the regular size is too much. We ordered "fried biscuits" for the first time. I saw someone dining in eating them and asked what they were. They were just ok. I put it in quotes because it just didn't have the texture of a biscuit in my opinion. It was more like bread than a biscuit. I didn't care for the sauce either. I have written a previous review which was praising T James China cafe but I now recall it. I ordered food on Uber Eats and T James upped my charge for 5 dollars as I requested peanuts, as I always do. I canceled right away and I was charged the entire price, no food, and hungry kids. You cannot all of a sudden increase the price and not give me an opportunity to cancel, and not refund my money. Panda Express it is from now on and this will surely be announced at my block party. Moving out here to Cypress means I had to find new "go to" places. There was a T Jin's China cafe where I use to live so my wife and I decide to try this place out with the hope it would be similar. To our surprise it was pretty similar just a few minor differences in the cooking of certain dishes we like. Not only do we enjoy have our go to places we also have our go to dishes which are the shrimp fried rice and orange chicken. Love both dishes here and ventured out yo try the wings which weren't too bad, if you do get them and think they are too plain in taste toss it in your kind of sauce. Yea it's work but their wings are pretty crisp and tasty. The co workers there are always nice especially the young lady that takes the pick up orders.
