A little dated interior but very very clean. The service was polite and friendly. Laughed at all my bad jokes. Can't say I was a fan of the generals chicken but everyone does it differently and I am particularly about a hot and sweet flavor. Everything else was absolutely spot on. This has been my go to restaurant for Chinese food for a long time. This last visit was General Tso's chicken. The chicken tasted wonderful and was cooked beautifully and the rice was nice and fresh. It seems I've eaten from here before and I am pretty sure this restaurant is the reason I don't order kung pao chicken any more, so I made sure to avoid it as it was underwhelming. Thusly, I got the jalapeño chicken and lo mein. Mid. It's a teensy bit spicy. The sauce is sweet, sour, salty. The chicken is tender. But honestly, it just isn't flavorful. The most exciting part of the dish is when you get an onion that has some real stir fry sear going on. The lo mein is virtually flavorless. Nothing at all going on. Just existing. My family and I eat here a lot it's the best Chinese place in cypress and he's we have tried two more. One place gave me food poisoning the other place the portions were so tiny I couldn't feed my family. This place has huge portions. Food is always prepared very delicious. My Review is not based on the food. But, I feel like I have to warn people about this place. I was charged via doordash for 2 orders of $100 each for this restaurant from this location and a Pearland location. My doordash account was hacked, whoever did so changed my password and name. Then placed these orders using my bank card. I have flagged this to my bank and also to doordash who issued me a refund. I will be calling the police department tomorrow to file a complaint because I don't think I am the only victim. I wanted to come on here and warn people as to why I believe this restaurant is behind these fraudulent charges. Both of the orders were delivered to the restaurant itself. First off, who orders $100 worth of Chinese food has it delivered to the restaurant then orders the same $100 worth, and has it delivered to another restaurant in another town with the exact same name as the first one? Who are the only ones who benefit from this fraud? Yes, the restaurant. I truly don't know how my information was compromised but beware of this place. I'm not a big Chinese fan, but I will eat it once in awhile. I think some Chinese restaurants are more about quantity than quality and same goes for Imperial China Diner. As in, they give you a pretty big portion but nothing very tasty. I've been here a few times since it opened. It is pretty clean inside. There is ample parking in front and Kroger's as well. For my recent dine in, we ordered Crab Rangoons, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Pad Thai Combo. Crab Rangoons (3/5): Your typical cheese wontons with sweet & sour sauce. This was probably the best thing I tried from my recent visit. They serve you 6 of them, so you can share them or eat them all. Sweet & Sour Pork (2/5): The pork itself tasted bland. You pretty much had to drench it into the sauce. Thankfully, there were vegetables as well. I've been to other places where it was flavored.. In other words, did not have to dip into a sauce. I wouldn't order it again here. Pad Thai (2/5): My friend was craving Pad Thai, so she ordered this. As soon as we both saw our waitress bring this, disappointment. We were right.... One bite said enough. It was so bland. It was like eating plain noodles with vegetables. I'm only giving it an extra point from (1/5) because we had a lot of meat in the dish. The noodles are different from a Thai restaurant. Even if you are craving Pad Thai, take a pass and go to your local Thai restaurant. Portions were huge like I mentioned above. This restaurant is much better than its stars rating would suggest. It's much better than another Chinese restaurant just south on Barker-Cypress Road. We had really good Mu Shu Pork, and I grew up eating MSP, so I know what it's all about. I'm usually not one to complain about a restaurant when I could easily just make the decision not to return to the establishment. But if it could prevent someone from making the same mistake that I did, I would gladly do it. I ordered chicken fried rice, and steamed chicken with vegetables for lunch (with DoorDash fees it ended up costing $25...for lunch.) The fried rice was sub par, not terrible but not good. The steamed chicken and veggies was quite possibly the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. The chicken was slimy and grey, and the vegetables tasted like the smell of toilet water. Needles to say I ended up throwing away about $22 worth of food. I would give zero stars if it was possible. There are so many better options for chinese food in Cypress, do not waste your money here. read more

I recommend the general tso's requested with white meat or the triple delight. The meat egg rolls are okay, but they could have a little less cabbage and a little more meat. Entrees-The snow pea beef (aka beef with snow peas) had a lot of water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, onions and carrots along with the snow peas and beef. Good flavor. The best out of three meals. (I think) Moo Goo Gai Pan - had a lot of water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and chicken. The chicken was tender and large pieces. Needed some seasonings. But not bad. Zero stars if I could, the owner is the most rudest and redicules chinese woman I met. I stop going there just for that reason so after so long I called today give it a another try but damn if I didn't had!! Same rudeness, freaken told me she cant deliver and hang up the phone WTF?? 1 Star is generous. Ordered delivery and that was fast. But they had left out the drink order. I got a credit but still didn't get a drink with the meal. Dinner for three was still $65 all in so we were expecting something special. Panda would have been a better experience for half the price. The Chicken Lo Mein stank of old shrimp. The broccoli chicken had no flavor at all and the General Tso chicken was bland and rubbery. Ribs were like old car tires for $2 a rib!
