The uniqueness of the menu options is what caught my eye. I placed an order on Uber eats and I was hopeful that I would enjoy all the options I chose. The food came within the original stated timeframe, which was a plus. As for the food; everything was delicious and I will definitely order again. My only complaint is there no plates, flatware, sauces or napkins provided. Luckily I ordered in a place where I had those times available.

I was visiting from out of town and really wanted Chinese food, and this place was a great find! Their hot and sour soup came out steaming hot and was perfect for 2 people to share. Their combination fried rice was delicious, especially with the bok choi-- which we asked for it be stir fried with garlic and dry chili. The only disappointing item was the pork soup dumpling, which was very overwhelming with the taste of vinegar in the filling. Altogether, this was a pretty affordable spot with great service; I'd highly recommend!

This food was absolutely amazing and I only tried two things!!! I ordered the Pan Fried Pork Dumplings and Stir Fried String Beans. The dumplings had a nice flavor, they were meaty, the texture was good and I enjoyed the dipping sauce. The stir fried string beans were 10/10 divine!! The aromatic flavors of the onion, garlic, and spices made the dish taste so good. They were tender but also had a good crunch to them. The portion size was good too. Anyone thinking about these should try them, they're addicting. My only complaint is that for the price I wish the string beans came with white rice. I will definitely be returning and can't wait to try other menu items!

Had a late lunch and the service was extremely slow. We ordered a few dishes that our usually our go-to at other restaurants. The first item to arrive was the hot & sour soup for the table. The soup was room temp. We sent it back and I'm not sure what they did but it came back with more than what we got initially. I'll come back to the soup in a bit. The other dishes that arrived shortly and we noticed that some dishes were room temp as well. We ended up taking the rest of the hot & sour soup home to find a piece of plastic in the soup?? I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

We dined on a Friday evening, around 6pm. It wasn't crowded, we were greeted and seated immediately. Service was great, food came out less than 5 minutes after we ordered. Wait staff were attentive, food was good. We enjoyed our dinner and would recommend.

There was a large variety of food for all things chicken, pork, beef, and seafood. It smelled good, tasted unique, and the appetizers came to our table quickly with good heat and taste! My family and I had a great time - the restaurant had good privacy at the booths, and the servers were fairly attentive to our needs. The only hiccups we ran into were that the table wasn't completely clean when we arrived, and my friend was accidentally charged for an extra drink. The waiter did give us time to review the receipt before we paid though, so this was our error too. We had a great time, and look forward to coming back!

As a Cypress native, I honestly have pretty low expectations for Asian food establishments in the area. However, Duck n Bao was not too bad. I would say, my first impression wasn't that good as we were hit with a cleaning solution smell right when we walked in and the menus were sticky. Luckily, the food was better than the initial impression. We ordered the Pork Soup Dumplings, Stir-Fried Rice Noodles w/ Beef, Tea Leaf Smoked Pork Ribs, and Stir Fried String Beans. All of which were solid options. My personal favorite was the string beans. It was thoroughly seasoned with the perfect amount of crunch. I would definitely come back for these. Service was good, we were checked in on quite frequently and got everything we needed.

Likely the best and most authentic Chinese food restaurant in the cypress area. There's traditional sichuan offerings as well as the American food like Orange Chicken for you uninitiated types. They have a nice little selection of dim sum smaller dishes as well as the Peking Duck. The service has always been exactly what it needs to be, just attentive enough and plenty nice. I've ordered here for Thanksgiving and come in when my power was out during the freeze in 2021, they're always ready to serve. There's a neat area to watch some of the chefs make baos and dumplings, and overall inside it feels like a Chinese restaurant that you'd find in any suburban neighborhood. The food has always been spot on and I have yet to have anything that didn't taste great, even if it's not my favorite item. Kung Pai Chicken, Peking Duck, Pork Soup Dumplings, Stif Fried String Bean, and Cumin Lamb are some of my go to's. My recommendations is to not try something you could order at Panda Express and you'll have a good time.

Panda Express is a higher quality than this place. The chef must have just quit! We spent $110 and threw most of it in the trash. The chicken in the general tso chicken sauce was processed chicken nuggets and the sauce was not good. Brussel sprouts were soggy mush, crab rangoon was cold and didn't taste right, the hot and sour soup tasted like oil.. no flavor, just oil. Spring rolls were mushy and tasted like dirty oil. I can't believe this place is even open.

Food was amazing, loved the dumplings and XLB! Ambiance was great. Tai was our server and he was super welcoming and nice! We'll definitely be back!

Their soup dumplings are such a comfort food for me. Living in NYC, they had some of the best and these soup dumplings are pretty great. I prefer the soup dumplings over the pan fried dumplings but they were still delicious. I LOVE the chicken fried rice, always a great addition to the meal. The beef was flavorful & yummy. Service was pretty good for a busy Sunday evening.

Duck N Bao is a nice place to go grab some yummy East Asian delight. Scallion pancakes: Absolutely perfect! Crispy, flaky and flavorful! Salt and pepper calamari: It was good, but not the best that I have I had. I think the batter had too much flavoring in the coated salt mixture that it overpowered the calamari itself. I have definitely had better. Cumin lamb: Amazing! Gave you that numbing spice and was delicious with white rice. Peking duck: Such tender duck it was amazing and the pancakes they give you are so think, it's perfect! You get a bite of everything when you make your little bao/wrap. Soup dumplings (not pictured): It was yummy - but not the best I've had! We tried the crab ones and the chicken. I didn't like the chicken at all - the flavor just wasn't there. The crab was okay! Filled with a ton of soup so that's definitely a plus! Vibe was great, and staff was nice!!

There was sewer odor once I opened the door. The restaurant has ample seating for small and big groups. I was quickly seated, and staff were attentive. Food came out pretty fast. I had the pork soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings, Dan Dan noodle, stir-fried rice noodle with beef, and house special boiled fish fillet. The pork soup dumplings had lotsa soup in individual dumplings but the pork and soup were too salty. The pan fried dumplings were sitting on a bed of oil when served. That's bad. The Dan Dan noodle's sauce was too salty. However the noodle texture was good. The stir-fried rice noodle didn't have much flavor, and had only a few slices of beef. Lastly, the house special boiled fish fillet was of the right spice level. The fish fillets were tender. There were black fungus and bean sprouts in the bowl too. Overall the dish was ok. However the rice that came with the fish fillet tasted old. Overall the food wasn't up to standard. I wouldn't return.

Is the 2 hr recommendations for peking duck for eating in or for take out?

I've tried the Peking duck on a dine in experience and it wasn't 2hrs. I ordered and had food on my table in about 35mins.

Do you still have the 2 for $25 lobster special (December 2020)? What are the options for preparation? Ginger/green onion, black pepper?

Sorry that was only for a limited time! It might come back soon though just follow our FB page and insta!

    Do you have duck now?

Yes we do :) please preorder at least 2.hours ahead!

Edit. I saw you're open. Yay!! Are you guys closed? So sorry this has hurt so many

Hello :) yes we are open! And you're right it has but hopefully things will recover soon!

Are you planning on opening, when?

    Open now! :)

I tried to place an order for pick up today but Duck n Bao appears to be temporarily closed, any idea when they will reopen? I'll be first in line when they open again. Any information is good!

Hello Christina! We are looking to reopen soon :) thanks for your support

Do I need reservation ahead of time for Peking duck?

I would say that their food represents a combination of primarily "authentic" Sichuan cuisine while also offering dishes like General Tso's chicken and Mongolian Pork and even a couple of Chinese-American dishes like Cream Cheese Rangoon. There's something here for everybody and it's all excellent! Last night, my wife and I ate at the restaurant for the first time, and the meal was perfect! I ordered the 3 Savory Pepper Chicken, sautéed bok choy, and Shredded Pork with Baby Bamboo. The 3 Savory Pepper Chicken has the perfect "mala" flavor you expect in so many Sichuan-style dishes - hot and numbing with excellent flavor. The bok choy was cooked to just the right texture, and the shredded pork was a great choice, especially for those who do not want spicy flavor. The service last night was excellent! Despite the restaurant being quite busy making take-out and delivery orders, we still received our meal quickly and without any problems. The staff at the restaurant were happy to answer questions and give guidance on what we would like. Will definitely come back here soon! The ordering process was frustrating--you have to download an app called Dine. While the app's menu was better than the restaurant's own website, it wasn't actually taking online orders. We placed a pickup order, but there were still service and processing fees, which felt odd for takeout. When I arrived for pickup, the order wasn't ready due to their system being down. They also didn't provide condiments like soy sauce, which was surprising. We ordered the sesame & orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, and chicken stir fry noodles. The rice was undercooked, and the chicken dishes were dry. The stir fry noodles were the best item--flavorful and well made. Portions were average, but we also didn't receive any fortune cookies. Overall, between the ordering hassle, extra fees, and inconsistent food quality, I wouldn't order from here again. The pictures illustrate $70 cost from food to fees and tip.

The chicken fried rice was filled to the top of the takeout box, which was plenty for one. I preserved its freshness in a Tupperware container. The fried rice has egg and green onion. I've noticed this in other Chinese restaurants that the chicken is cut skinny in long pieces. It almost looks like a noodle. I wish they were cubed or something smaller to make it bite-sized. They give you plenty of chicken pieces. It's one of the best chicken fried rice dishes I've tasted in a while. You get a huge serving for just $9.25. The sweet and sour chicken had a crispy batter breading, but there was barely any chicken. I'm glad there was a lot of chicken in the fried rice to compensate. The bell pepper they use to garnish overpowers the flavor of the fried chicken if it touched it. The sweet & sour sauce on the side was good. I'd like to try some of their other dishes. Really nice orange flavor and tender chicken. So much fun eating it since it is gluten free! Our kiddo also devoured this dish! Mild - not spicy at all! The Spicy Numbing Pot, while a little oily/greasy on the bottom, was still delicious! I appreciated that it wasn't knock your socks off spicy - it had a solid kick, and so flavorful. This is one of those places where looks can be deceiving. Inside, the restaurant is very clean and quiet. There is only one waiter/cashier, who is very attentive, quick, and friendly. My family and I have dined here twice and both times, many people opted for to-go orders/pick-ups, which is the reason why their parking lot is never full. The prices are affordable, and the portions are HUGE! The portions are good for family style dining, where everyone can share the entrees. The kid's size portions are equivalent to a regular portion elsewhere. The foods we ordered includes: Xiao long bao (not pictured) - This was pretty good! There wasn't a lot of soup inside the dumpling, but that didn't take away from the taste of it. Shu Mai - My husband and I did not enjoy this at all. Maybe it was an off day, but it tasted terrible, like something you would get from the frozen section. It didn't taste authentic or anything like what you would get from a Dim Sum restaurant. Orange Chicken - The orange sauce is different from what I am used to. It tastes more sweet and less savory, like they used a higher ratio of orange concentrate than soy sauce. If you were to judge this dish by itself, it's pretty good, but not as good as Nana's Sushi & Chinese Bistro. Sesame Chicken - Initially, this tasted very similar to the orange chicken, but of course it's not because it does not have the orange flavor. Also, pretty good. Chicken Lo Mein - This tastes like comfort food. There was something about this dish that made it very addicting for me. It wasn't bursting with crazy flavors, but it was great. Deep Fried Fish w/ Sweet & Sour Sauce - This was such a great portion and tasted great! The fish was breaded and fried to perfection. I appreciated that it was a perfect balance of sweet and sour. I really enjoyed this dish! Szechaun Spicy Chicken - The first time we ordered this, it wasn't too crispy, so it was okay. The second time we visited, my husband ordered this again and it was crispy, which made it taste so much better. I only gave the restaurant a 4 star because I feel like I've had better tasting foods elsewhere.
