First of all the staff here especially the manager in the picture is SUPER nice and welcoming. I did take this pic from a previous review but I wanted to point her out specifically. We went in with my grandmother from Mexico and my grandma left happy and full! The manager was so welcoming to my grandma and we will definitely be back because of her. Decided to break a seven day water fast and wanted something light but still tasty. Decided upon wonton soup but wanted to try something new, so I landed on this place. Super short distance from my home and the pictures of the food looked delicious so I decided to give it a shot. Restaurant is a wide open space, lots of white which I don't mind in a restaurant because it makes it easier to spot the filth. This place was very clean, minus a few tables that needed to be bussed. I sat alone at the booth and ordered a hot green tea and the Fuzhou Yan Wonton soup. The broth was super hot when it came out, and in it were floating the cutest 10 wontons. The "dough" is essentially pounded pork which calls for a slightly different texture, but so yummy nonetheless. The owners son made a quick stop to my table and explained to me what they were and that his mom makes them! Even where they originated. It was obvious he was very proud of her and that made me enjoy my meal even more. Enjoyed it so much I decided to try a shrimp wonton soup to go for later! I will be back for the fried stuff once I reacclimate my body to foods again lol gave it four stars because the service could be a bit more attentive. I would've loved having the description of what I was ordering come from the person who took my order. All dumplings were excellent... tried the soup dumplings, some of the mini buns plus some steam dumplings and fried dumplings and everything was really good. Service- 4 Stars Friendly if not a little chaotic. Drinks- 3 Stars Some menu items not available but the brown sugar tea was good. This takeout bag is so cute!!! I was not expecting such a cute bag to keep my takeout food warm. Not sure if this is normal for their service, but I hope they don't get rid of this detail. Just wanted something fast and delicious And got just that. Me and my nephew dined in; starting with crab Rangoon for appetizer. Perfectly fried, sweet and blended crab make for one the best I've ever had. For dumpling we went two ways steamed and pan fried but they offer soup and boiled as well. We went with beef and onion for the pan and spicy beef for the steamed... and so it was so good we decided to order a couple of more things. The pork and shrimp soup dumpling which the courteous and gracious chef showed us how to eat properly. Along with our lush cucumber salad and overall great meal. Came in for lunch on a Saturday and other than one large table, it was very quiet. We had the pork soup dumplings, pork and green onion fried dumplings and combo fried rice. Everything came out hot and fresh and delicious. I liked the double dumplings at a place that recently closed and these were just as good - not served with the ginger infused vinegar though. The fried rice was some of the best I've had - shrimp, chicken and beef cooked perfectly - well seasoned. I highly recommend and will be back. Waitstaff was attentive. The spicy beef dumplings are just right, not overly spicy. The fried rice is light and not overloaded with soy sauce. Dumplings were delicious Dan and noodles were good. I was hoping that they'd be more spicy and have a little bit more sauce in there took the food to go. I know that those dumplings typically taste best popping hot right out of the steamer right off of the pan, so wish we didn't wait to eat as they got a little bit cool sometimes that has a tendency to get a little bit thick, but everybody in the family enjoyed the dumplings the fried rice, the stirfry noodles, mini buns would recommend plan on going back Friendly service to go The restaurant was inviting, although there's a little bit of construction in the background but overall a very nice quaint space. read more

The food is amazing but portions were not filling with the price being high, but the service was horrible. After waiting 20 min for someone to take our order and then not getting refills. We also waited 30 min for a to go order and then they came and said it was never put it by a different server . I would not recommend unless you're ready to be there longer than a hour. read more

Had lo mein today and when boxing up left overs found caterpillar on the plate. When brought to their attention the cook said those eat bok choy . Like yeah we gave you a wonderful surprise. No let me refund you , no big deal it happens all the time maybe. So if you go Be aware of the special ingredient in anything that has bok choy - and be ready for oh well what's the big deal. Came for soft opening and immediately greeted with a smile. +1 for hospitality. Decor simple and everything was clean. Food - Soup dumplings with good sized filling and flavor. Lots of soup and thick dough that didn't break. Other dumpling types also had great filling size and you could tell they're hand made. How it ranks up to other dumpling spots: 2nd best in Houston in my opinion, definitely best in Cypress. I have tried PLENTY of dumpling spots and this is up there. Super impressed with this new offering in Cypress ,TX. They were very welcoming on arrival and we were given our choice in seating. We were immediately given menus and our drinks arrived promptly. We tried the fried spring rolls and the were fresh, crispy and non greasy. Next we ordered the pork soup dumplings. These do not fall apart when you remove them from the steaming basket. Precious broth conservation is important to me. They were better than any others I have tried in Cypress. Lastly we had the pan fried beef dumplings and they good. We paid at the counter on the way out. Not sure if that is protocol but it was quick and easy. No need to wait for the bill. Every employee thanked us for stopping in. We will definitely be ordering here again. It's location is on my way home,so we will see how the food stands up as takeout. read more

We ordered the pork soup dumplings. They were very hot and fresh. They tasted a little bland. There wasn't much seasoning in them. We also ordered the Beef and Onion Dumplings. Don't waste your time. We were excited to go and it was the hot mess express from the moment we sat down until we left. Service was terrible, the servers were clueless, and the kitchen messed up our order. We ordered tea and my husband asked for sweetener packets and they were like huh....we had to explain why he wanted sweetener. They brought out a sauce dish with sugar poured in it....no spoon. Checked the silverware in the napkin to see if there was a spoon there. Nope just a fork. When he asked for a spoon they were confused and said oh the sauces and other stuff come out with the food. Other tables had soy sauce, salt/pepper, chili oil but we didn't. We asked for it and they were still confused. We ordered dumplings for an appetizer and it came after my husbands meal, sesame chicken, but my meal was still not up. I ordered walnut shrimp and got tiny shrimp with burned toasted pecans, not walnuts, and a splattering of the sauce over the dish. When I pointed the fact out that they literally served me a walnut dish with pecans, the server just said oh um.....sorry. No offer to make it correctly or what they could do. She just shrugged her shoulders and said sorry and walked off. Then she wanted to take away the dumplings when we still had some still in the steamer because we were eating our food. I tried my husband's sesame chicken but the sesame sauce had a tomato taste to it so it was weird too. They barely checked on us until we were finished and said ready to pay...like I said, it was a disaster from when we sat down to when we left. They have zero management and clueless kids serving.
