The notice outside the restaurant mentioned that it has applied for liquor license in July so assuming it will be getting it sometime soon. Service was pretty quick and food was ok. Morning great or extraordinary while not underwhelming. Ordered Manchurian soup, garlic naan, tandoori roti, paneer jalfarezi, and street style fried rice. The naan and roti was fresh and best and rest was just slightly above average. Rasmalai seemed to be readymade kinda. Came in on Saturday for dinner. There was only one other table of customers seated. We did notice some togo orders ready for pick up. We ordered Chinese Bhel & Chill Garlic noodles, both mild. Both items were delicious & flavorful. Chill garlic noodles were expected to be spicy and do not come in Mild so be prepared for the spice. Giving it 4 stars because the AC didn't seem to be cooling enough so we had asked the waiter to cool it further. Also, there was only one waiter/staff so we had to wait a bit to place our order as he was also attending to the to go orders. We were so excited to try a local Indian restaurant to satisfy our strong cravings. We ordered the Manchurian entrée, Drums of Heaven, garlic naan, and saag paneer. While the chicken lollipops (Drums of Heaven) were decent, they were mostly breading with little chicken flavor. The garlic naan was delicious, but unfortunately, everything else fell short. The saag needed salt to bring out any flavor, and the Manchurian was just a bowl of bland sauce. Overall, it was disappointing, and we won't be returning. Such a wide variety of great tasting food, most of the food I have never seen before. The drink selection was fantastic. The staff was knowledgeable of the dishes on the menu. The restaurant was also very clean. We ordered a few different items and everything was absolutely delicious. For starters we had the complementary soup and ordered the sweet corn soup as well. Both were good. I wouldve like more flavor from the corn soup but it wasnt bad. The drums of heaven was a huge hit!!! The sauce it came with was soooooo good. Next for the entrees, i got the saag and added chicken for the protein. This is the best saag ive ever had!! My husband ordered the tikka fried rice. This rice was very aromatic and delicious!! This dish was unique in all the best ways and very flavorful. For the naan, we got the garlic naan and bullet naan. Both were 10/10. But anyway, we enter the restaurant and like I said before it is almost the same setup as Anna had it before. I guess Monk's is the new establishment. There is only one table seated and we were greeted by a wait staff to take any table we like. They weren't busy as expected for dinner hours. But we did notice that there were a lot of to-go order stacking up at the end table ready for pickup. So, we explored the menu and decided to order a few dishes and share among us so we can all try a different dish. The food came out pretty fast and just as the way we ordered it. The food was not as spicy as I have expected, and the portion is a good size. First thing come to taste is there is not very salty as I have expected. Tasted just right, and the spices were not too powering. Little did we know that they have lots of order for to-go and still can put out orders fast. Then as we sat and ate there was a lot more people coming in for to-go and dine in. So, the place started to get busy. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars from me was because they don't have enough wait staff but just one, and we kind of have to wait around a bit after the meal to get our check and to-go boxes. it was good all the way up to that point. I certainly won't be back. Called in on a weeknight for takeout and was told it would be about a 25 min wait. Well about 55 minutes later, I finally got my order - missing 2 items. When I called them to let them know, they said one of the missing items was out of stock. But I still paid for it. So back I went to pick up my missing item and replacement item. They threw in a free dessert which was nice. The food itself was subpar, especially considering the price. The lamb vindaloo had almost zero lamb and was instead mostly bone. The chicken vindaloo was dark meat offcuts and so was the chicken tikka masala. Chewy, with gristle and all. The garlic naan was burnt to a crisp which was disappointing because I can tell it had potential. The vindaloo was moderately spiced at most, not even close to a normal vindaloo. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed and I don't think we will be back. So unfortunate because we love Indian food. read more

As far as vegetarian options goes as a buffet I would rather order from the menu. I really love the sweet-and-sour Paneer dish with fresh warm rice. I would compare this to anything I have had in London, UK. We usually start off with an order of the spring rolls and I get a cup of the hot & sour soup. The hot and sour soup is HOT . . . and not temperature hot . . . spicy hot. I wouldn't have it any other way. in one word - excellent. Then we usually get the Tikka Masala with the Garlic Naan. The staff is friendly and super attentive, they greeted us as soon as we walked in. The food is so flavorful, filled with amazing Indian spices. We had the magical Maggie rolls, Vindaloo with lamb, street styled chicken wings and naan bullet bread. The portions are very generous definitely enough for two people. They also have free self serve soup during specified hours. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazingly delicious authentic Indian food. If you're new to the area or on the fence about trying g this place, just go....you will not be disappointed. The food is always delicious. There is no mistake about that. But I went Saturday at Noon when they were supposed to be open. They open at noon or so the sign says. So we pull up, park, and there's 2 guys waiting. We try the door. And they say it's closed but they put in a to go order so they're waiting on that. About 20 minutes later a guy comes out and greets the 2 guys and then we ask if they're opening. And the guy says, 'we won't be open til 1.' No explanation, no apology, just the time they would open. It was BIZARRE. I've never gone to an eatery that 1, is not open when their sign says they open. 2, the staff are there and do not acknowledge the time disparity and customers waiting at the door, and 3, no explanation or apology for the delay. During the week I have gone and the service is pretty good. The food always tastes good. But I just could not believe how the entire situation went down with this visit on Saturday. I used to order to go often, and we probably visited to eat twice a week. Ever since that Saturday I have had no urge to visit again. I don't know if I'll ever go back. I just don't know.
