this is my second time visiting, the first one was dining, and I remember I ask to the tall asian guy since he looks like he goes to the gym: what meals has high protein and he hasn't any clue to answer me, he answered the bowl. but on my second visit i ordered 3 happy meals at the Bar but the lady was so busy and it took like 15 min to take my order, another 20 min to make my food, and i didn't see anybody supporting her. They forgot my ice cream for the 3 meals and I call the store and a guy said they don't put the ice cream because It can melt, i just think they should say it like (ice cream not included to go). I have always been a fan of Jinya since my first time at their midtown location over more than a decade ago. Fast forward to 2026 and I have become an even bigger fan of this particular location. My niece and I absolutely love coming here for their spicy creamy vegan ramen. It has just the right amount of spice and the flavor of the broth is actually oh-so-delicious! Service is always just as great as the ramen. Must order items besides the ramen are the Brussels sprouts tempura, edamame, and the shrimp tempura. I have also tried their miso eggplant appetizer which was good but I do wish that the eggplant was sliced evenly throughout the dish so that it would have the same texture throughout the entire dish. Some pieces were cooked perfectly while others were not tender because of the cut. Regardless the flavor was still there. Really want to try their chicken ramen next because I feel like this particular location makes everything tastes wayyy better than the other ones I have tried in Houston lol. read more

Service is good and they are always checking on you even if you don't make eye contact. You can feel rushed sometimes when it comes to ordering. I had the best experience at Jinya recently and had to get in here to share. Cheyenne was our server and she was so peppy and energetic despite it being after 8pm at night! She was super quick about cleaning off our table of any trash and got our orders quickly. It's sad to say but lately, our experience dining out in general at restaurants has not been great with service, so we were very impressed with our service at Jinya! The food is always delicious and was the perfect comfort food on a cold rainy day. I got tonkatsu black with a side of corn and it was packed with so much flavor. We have been to Jinya Ramen bar a few times and the Ramen is always really good. I had the spicy chicken Ramen and it was good but the spicy level was really mild. My daughter had the one with the Yuzu and it was really good with nice citrus taste. Husband had the chicken wonton ramen and it was completely flavorless and tasted like chicken noodle soup.
